Vocabulary and Reading in children The following paper has the objective to provide some definitions about writing and reading also the description of the page Story Maker which I select as a material that could be used for reading activities. Reading is one of the receptive skills. The reading process requires continuous practice, development and refinement. In addition, reading requires creativity and critical analysis. We can read for different reasons like for acquire information, for education, for entertainment. It is good for children to learn more than the basic subjects that are taught in school, and it is very important for little students to learn more than their native language for expand their knowledge and in a future is better for them to more than one language; and I think is necessary to them to learn as a second language English because is the language that is more speaking in all the world. Some people as parents think that is confuse for the little students to learn 2 languages at the same time because they still learning their mother tongue, but that is not correct, the student is going to learn better and easily. Some studies demonstrates that the better age for learn a second language is in the infancy of the children, because their brain still in increasing and it is like a sponge, it absorb all the information more easily. That is why is good for children to start teaching them since Elementary school. The better way to teach English to a child is by games, music, videos, etc. that is because the games are going to attract the attention of the children and increase their willingness to learn the language. Here you can use different objects too for attract the attention like toys, English songs that were invented to help children to learn while playing. Another thing that we as teacher should do for increase the level of a language in the children is that we have to expose them to the language the more is possible, that is because the student will learn better while listening, reading and writing the new language at the same time in which they are learning their mother tongue. When the child is exposing to the two languages at the same time they can develop some skills like, creativity, language skill, autonomy, independence, communication, self-esteem, language ability. Learning to read is difficult for children and is more difficult to learn to read in two languages.

Story Maker is an interactive tool which create short story and can help to young learners to being interesting in the reading. This electronic tool provides some characters and the student could choose and the story is started to be created. This tool is a material that helps learners to the reading process. Story Maker provided some different types of themes and the student could choose the one they prefer. Story Maker had some goals in mind in this interactive tool but the most important is that student can create they own reading in a very easy way and with the theme of their preference. This goal at the end will identify what is that makes a story attractive and learn and get inspire from using this tool and read more and more, and that will help them to get started to read and maybe they feel motivated to create their own stories. This tool can be used is several ideas; it could be used in a computer lab, as an interactive activity in which the students can read the stories that they created by their own. Story Maker is very easy to use by children. They are guided by this tool along the way they are creating the story. The learners just have to click on the link, choose the theme of their choice, and then just select the characters and started the short story. I really like this interactive tool because is very useful, the student just have to choose the characters and the story is started to write by its own and the student just have to wait and read the story at the end.
