As the year draws to a close the local churches have been conducting the reorganizational meetings to make plans and select officers for 2014. To assist in this work and coordinate it field-wide, the Northwest US Field will be conducting officer training programs. All newly selected officers are asked to attend, not only for their office, but the entire program of that morning. The meetings are not closed, so any member wishing to attend may do so, but we ask that you register with David Zic or Caleb Fountain in advance to make sure we have enough training materials on hand. Each program will be followed by a fellowship lunch. The schedule is as follows:

Year of Evangelism 2014

The WNAU has designated 2014 as the Year of Evangelism. A series of programs have been approved to support this project. More detailed information will be distributed by the WNAU Missionary Department concerning the new Credentialled Evangelist program, the new Prodigal Son Ministry, the new Uncomfortable Truths Getaway, the new Bible Study Retreat, and a new Medical Missionary Retreat. These projects will back up a new evangelistic Present Truth, outreach series.

The Commission Has Been Given

We are bidden to go forth as Christs messengers, to teach, instruct, and persuade men and women, to urge upon their attention the word of life. And to us also the assurance of Christs abiding presence is given. Union Youth Convention 2014

The Western North American Union Council met Thursday, November 21, and settled the date for the 2014 annual youth convention at Rampart View Ranch in Colorado. The dates are June 29 - July 6, 2014. Registration is now open and you can contact Julian Utupanu at julianutupanu@yahoo.com to do that and for more information. Main theme, topic and speakers will be released shortly.

Training for Higher Service

The Lord desires us to obtain all the education possible, with the object in view of imparting our knowledge to others. None can know where or how they may be called to labor or to speak for God. Our Heavenly Father alone sees what He can make of men. There are before us possibilities which our feeble faith does not discern. Our minds should be so trained that if necessary we can present the truths of His word before the highest earthly authorities in such a way as to glorify His name. We should not let slip even one opportunity of qualifying ourselves intellectually to work for God.Messages to Young Peoples, p. 173.
