Corruption is one of the most raised topics around the globe. Also, you may consider it as a growing epidemic involving the politicians, government officials, auditors, and even your next door neighbors. You may define corruption as the art of stealing of taxpayers money. Others define it as bribery or if you look it up in the dictionary, a noun which means impairment of integrity, virtue, or moral principle. The word corruption is tossed all over Jawbreakers WALANG KWENTA ANG PILIPINAS. My interpretation with Jawbreakers WALANG KWENTA ANG PILIPINAS is somewhat fragmented. Jawbreaker defined Philippines as worthless and damned with corrupt government officials. He also raised a statement that, Philippines tax money just answers the so-called nontaxpayers problems. People who are evading tax get benefits while we, the taxpayers, never got their voice heard. Another statement is all about the higher birth rates coming from the people who are unemployed. Jawbreaker is telling us that the unemployed sector shouldnt have a family. Jawbreaker even stressed out the rhetorical question, WHY ARE YOU GETTING PREGNANT WHEN YOU CANNOT EVEN FEED YOURSELVES? The article is that, all of these are elements why we, Filipinos, are not growing in terms of economic, cultural, and even true freedom. He even claimed that, Philippines has no more chance in improving and it will be rotten as it is. Jawbreaker even wants our country to have political and national cleansing where all politicians and maleficent organizations are banished or even better, to eradicate them as well. All unemployed Filipinos should be thrown out into a remote island where theyll be forced into doing hard labor. And after all of this, the taxpayers are the only one who can vote for the political leaders. Is this another eye-opener being or just another nuisance? I can consider this as another article full of crab mentality. But there are good sides to Jawbreakers article about our country, Philippines. It becomes a wake-up call which tells us that we dont live in a fantasy world. This is a voice from one of our middle class citizens who are having a hard time in living within the country. Real life isnt always teddy bears and Candy Crush but a harsh reality is going on. Although the flaw of this article is that, does he really know what is or how the government works? The economy cant be an instant uphill, it also has its own nature. Killing a lethiferous organization isnt the answer because it will just become another reason to emerge another black propaganda. It seems that Jawbreakers definition of a true government wasnt achieved by the Philippines. In my opinion, In every action that we do theres an opinion against it. He saw one of the flaws of our political system. He felt that the nations goal cant be achieved if we have corrupt officials or idle people in our society. I commend Jawbreakers opinion because he wants to wake up Filipinos to strive harder. Jawbreaker may have written offending words but there are some truths to this. Yes, corrupt officials are a major problem in our country. To achieve such utopia, we will vote for the right person! To get that golden ticket to that dream country of Jawbreakers fantasizing all

about is we should educate our own people. In my opinion, that ticket and the key to success is education. Next, being idle and complaining against our nation wont help as well. Like Jawbreaker said, we should pay our taxes to achieve that equality. Activists fight for equality, if Jawbreakers words are true then you should uphold your principles. The unemployed sector should try harder to become more competitive. They need to work so that they can give a contribution to our country. To sum all of these up, we should exercise our Human Rights. If we all act accordingly to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, where Philippines is a member of, the Filipino dream will become true! If we all work together as actors of change, we can rise to the top! Now, let me go deeper on the articles flaws. The people who attend to those rallies are not the only ones who always benefit to Philippines fund as well. Jawbreakers article tells us that the people who shout loud in EDSA are the ones who arent giving economic contribution. Hes making a hasty generalization about them which on the contrary he/shes doing it as well. Not through the medium of loud microphones and speaker nor cards or signs but through he/shes article right here. Also Jawbreaker mentioned about the luxurious life of some Filipinos and compared it to himself/herself which is also a fallacy because they may have different backgrounds. In regards to what Jawbreaker as said, kung gugustuhin, gagawan ng paraan. It is a fancy statement yet a very hard thing to do. Why does Jawbreaker decided to leave the country? If he/she really wants to make Philippines big: contribute harder. As I said earlier, we need to educate our own people. The article itself isnt enticing to read, so why would they even read it and accept it as an article which they would follow. How sad it is that a person had already given up on our country. Resolving this matter isnt easy as it looks. You will need to grind gradually to achieve the title of having a tiger economy or even an hegemon. But change can still be done. If we start within ourselves to contribute to our country it would make so much difference than before. If all of us changed and start functioning as a true nation should be. To end this I will just leave you one question. Have you done your part?
