Who is Vernice Santos? Who are her parents? Where is she from? Does she have any brothers or sisters? What are her talents and hobbies? Indeed, these are just few of the questions that need a response. us once, let!s ta"e a brea" and rela# for I will show to you the journey of this youn$ woman!s life. %y name is Vernice Santos and &ctober '(, '))* is the most special and happiest day my parents have ever dream of. Wee"s before the said event, my mother could hardly feel the pain behind her bac" and could not sleep well because of the e#citement of $oin$ bac" to the hospital for pre$nancy chec" up. +ut when the water bro"e up about ,- hours after my mom feels li"e labor has pro$ressed enou$h and stru$$led at home for the majority of her labor, she successfully $ave birth to her third baby in %anila Sanitarium .ospital, /asay 0ity. 1t e#actly -2*3 in the afternoon of &ctober '(, a 4.4 lbs. baby $irl was born. 1nd yes, it!s me5 %y parents were very proud and blessed because I was their first baby who was born normal 6 no defects, no abnormalities and no physical deficiency. Why? +ecause in our family history, my eldest brother was an autistic, the second one and the youn$est both died because of the same reason 7 birth defects. 8et, that was just part of 9od!s perfect plan for us. %y beloved mother and father already "new what my name actually meant. 1ccordin$ to them, ultimately propelled by absolute satisfaction of ri$htly spoon7fed information, the name Verni1e, comes from the .oly +ible more specifically at 1cts 0hapter ,(, meanin$ :Bringing Victory;. %y father as"ed

9od for a wonderful name and he dream of the name +ernice. +ernice was the wife of <in$ 1$rippa and died at a very youn$ a$e of '=. She brou$ht victory and success to the "in$dom. 0lever isn!t it? I always "new they loved me but the only difference is that my parents decided to chan$e the first letter of +ernice which is :+; to :V; for uniqueness and prosperity. %oreover, I am a lover not a fi$hter. I or$ani>e thin$s and want to maintain a harmonious relationship in the family. I am very affectionate and lovin$ when it comes to my family. Some people say I am sweet and other would tell me I!m polite enou$h to be disciplined. .owever, I intend not to tal" or tell my opinion with confidence because I want to ma"e sure that everybody!s happy. 1nd that!s what ma"es me a perfect ?ibra child. I have lots of friends and it "eeps on $rowin$ everyday. I am absolutely friendly and my classmates would tell me I!m better off in cooperatin$ than startin$ an ar$ument. ?i"e a ?ibra, I help other people in buildin$ self7confidence and reali>in$ that bein$ opinionated and self7 assured aren@t the same as bein$ offensive. Sometimes, it!s a matter of balancin$ and maintainin$ a $ood and wide relationship. I was raised and born as a reli$ious and all7fearin$ youn$ person of oo>in$ "indness. I definitely "eep in mind that bein$ e#ceptionally and clearly sincere, submissive, prayerful, responsible are just few of the best attitudes people could easily find about me. /lease ta"e note that all of these adjectives were diver$ed out of wholesome thin"in$ and supreme determination, hence not a pre7defined $roup of e#pressions that oh7so7easily moves off the ton$ue because of very unsi$hted, e#treme usa$e. +ased on my e#perience bein$ an 17

child throu$hout my influential e#istence, I have inspired all the 1@s in my owed pail of remar"able merits, which obviously $ives details what I am now. I love to join competitions such as Declamation, /oetry Interpretation and Story Aellin$. ?i"ewise, people $row up and before they "now it they!ve lost all memories of when they were children. It!s not every day that a person has an unfor$ettable understandin$ or occasion happenin$ to them. &n my childhood days, I confess there are only few thin$s I can consider. I can still remember when I was turnin$ seven at the time and you "now every $irl in those years wanted either a doll or dress. I wanted a bi$ tal"in$ doll really bad and my parents assured to $et me one. I had one of the $reatest birthday parties ever and it was really fun because of those funny clowns, a $ood ma$ician, impressive balloon artist, a bubble show and a face paintin$ but sad to say there was no doll. I was sad at first because by the time ni$ht had appeared about I was but prepared to name it a day just when my dad surprises me with a brand new tal"in$ doll. I was able to play it for a bit before I went to sleep. Bive months later, we then moved from 0amella +acoor, 0avite to the beautiful town of Aa$um. When I was in 9rade 4, my dad $ot his major operation at St. ?u"e!s .ospital after the results shown that he has a mali$nant terminal cancer. %iraculously, that cancer turned into beni$n and that chan$ed my whole life forever. I seriously too" up $uitar and piano lessons for our church and become active in community service for children. Binally, life was ma$ical for a sin$le lady in Aa$um at this time 6 a lady full of dreams, full of inspirations and full of hopes.
