Planning

Changes to my design: idea from modern and traditional simple sudoku

Modern: Change material from a piece of paper to wood (game board) Traditional: Change thickness of wood from 1.8 cm to 0.5 1cm Add colors to the game board base to the color of the object (blue, yellow, light grey) Instead of using numbers as the object, its going to be an animal face (shark, lion, and wolf) Change size of the game board from 21cmx21cm to 18cmx18cm

Material list Acrylic paint Softwood (at least; length 23cm, width 23cm, height/thickness 1 cm or less) for game board and object (x2, if enough money) Strong glue Foundation

Equipment and tools Saw Small saw carve knife Mask Gloves Apron Sanding paper Paint brush Newspaper marker

Preparation 1. Buy all materials, keep the reciept make sure it Rp.300,000 or less (60 minutes) 2. Bring all materials to class (1 minute) 3. Prepare all materials and tools (3 minutes) 4. Use apron, gloves, and mask for safety before starting (1 minute) Procedure

1. Cut the woods into a form of square using saw (length and width: 18.9x18.9cm, height: 0.5cm) for the game board (15 minutes) 2. Carve lines with carve knife gently (2 lines vertical and 2 lines horizontal) = Space between each line 6.3cm (15minutes)

3. Trace (with marker) and cut shapes of animals (shark, lion, wolf) with a smaller saw for more accurate shape, make sure the size fits to the small square that are carved (not too big and small = smaller than 6.3 x 6.3cm). 3 times for each shape (90 minutes) a. 3 sharks b. 3 lions c. 3 wolves 4. Apply sanding with the sanding paper to the game board and to all the objects (20 minutes) 5. Add foundation with the brush and to the game board and all the 9 objects and wait until it dries (sharks, lions and wolves) use newspaper underneath to prevent the floor getting dirty (25 minutes) 6. Painting use acrylic paint and brush, use newspaper to prevent the floor getting dirty: a. the game board with blue, yellow, and grey (15 minutes) b. the lines from the game board with black (2 minutes) c. 3 lions with yellow, orange/brown, and black (10 minutes) d. 3 sharks with blue and black (10 minutes) e. 3 wolves with grey and black (10 minutes) f. wait for dry (30 minutes) 7. Stick it to the game board with strong glue, each row should consist of three different animal, but leave one space in row 2 and row 3 (35 minutes) a. First row: Shark, Lion, Wolf b. Second row: Lion, ___, Shark c. Third row: Shark, Wolf, ___ Cleaning 1. Clean up paint, foundation, and newspaper (7 minutes)

2. Put equipments and tools back (1 minute) 3. Wash hand (1 minute) Testing Method 1. Give the final product of my toy to preschooler (1 minute) 2. Explain and/or guide the preshooler how to play (5 minutes) 3. Let them play by themselve each preschooler play for 15 minutes (min 45 minutes, max 90 minutes) a. take pictures and/or video while their playing b. observe the preschoolers based on my observation list Preschooler 1 Do they smile while playing my toy Do they laugh Interact a lot with the toy Focus on my toy Want to play again Love the shape Play it in the right way Give possitive comments Preschooler 2 Preschooler 3 Preschooler 4 Preschooler 5 Preschooler 6

My plan makes sense since everything have been put detailed and the time also make sense since it could be done in 3 weeks. However the time won't be as accurate as my plan, it could be less or more when creating. Especially in creating process since there would be some difficulties I should face which could also affect my time. But everything are detailed which include materials, tools & equipment, creating, and testing method.
