How to get a CCC.xml file from a Control Station From Dart 5.6 CMR 11 onwards CCC will be located on the Control Station as black content; instructions on how to use the Control Station version of CCC are not published with other Celerra CLI Commands. This help is the only location for the instructions on how to use CCC as it is primary user group is EMC Global Services or Authorized Service Partners. Note: CCC on Control Station is not supported on CNS or CFS Celerra Systems, the CCC code will not execute on those systems in this release due to technical reasons, it is expected that with Dart 6.0 version this will be rectified. Use the External version of CCC on any system that the Control Station version cannot be used. This version is available on the NSD-U EMC|One page or from ts_tools_support@emc.com NOTE: You should use CCC as root credentials, failure to use root will result in the backend storage array information not being collected, this will cause import failures into NSD-C. 1.Putty into the control station 2.Log into the control station 3.Type su , then the root password ( default pwd is nasadmin ) 4.Then run the following command /nas/tools/collect_config Users will need to run this script to initiate the CCC collection and XML creation. The script has two additional options quotas (to collect quota configuration which will increase run time and output file size) symmdisks (to query a symmetrix backend) All out put files generated by CCC are saved under /Celerra/CCC directory wit ha naming convention of CCC_<serial number>_<date>-<time>.xml

Automatic Log Collection Integration The automatic log collection feature is enhanced to include CCC collection as part of the support materials collection process. It includes the following change to the nas/tools/automaticcollection script: Add new tunable parameter, GetCCC, in /nas/site/automaticcollection.cfg file. By default this parameter is on, but can be disabled by adding # in front of the GetCCC. The script itself has two new options; -CCC and CCC-quota -CCC: run CCC collection and collect the output file -CCC-quota: run CCC collection and get additional quota configuration information.

CCC uses a configuration file /nas/tools/CCC.cfg The file currently has one tunable parameter, which is the timeout value for each command being sent from the CCC to the Control Station. If the command does not return within the allocated time, the script will be interrupted. BY default the Timeout param is set to 300 (5min).
