As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

God will use His written Word to clearly speak to us and give us personal direction.

Psalm 119:105, Your Word is a lamp unto my feet.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

But it is good for me to draw near to God. I have put my trust in the Lord God. Psalm 73:28 I shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. Isaiah 55:12 Whatsoever things are true and honest, just, pure, lovely; whatsoever things are of a good report I will think on these things. Philippians 4:8

With so many different voices in the world, it can be hard to separate Gods voice from the others. That is why it is so important to read and study the Bible, Gods written Word. When we know Gods thoughts about things, we can listen and compare what we are hearing to what the Bible says. God never says something to our hearts that doesnt agree with His written Word. The Bible is the final authority. As a boy, Jesus studied the Word of God. When He visited Jerusalem with his family, Jesus got lost. Mary and Joseph thought that He was with other family members. He was found 3 days later sitting with the priests and teachers in the temple. They were amazed at His understanding of the Word of God. When His parents questioned him about worrying them, Jesus said, Didnt you know that I must be about My Fathers business? If we are working with Father God we, too, must know how God does business.
