MERRILL TECHNOLOGIES GROUP - As General Manager, have dramatically improved internal organization of processes, practices, and accountability which in turn has paved the way for a sales throughput increase of 23% and GMP improvement by 11 points. Implemented and work closely with teams in production, scheduling meetings and production, safety, and quality walk-about sessions which has improved production visibility, on-time delivery by 27%, and quality 12%. Implemented cost control practices and work closely with teams to glean reduction in monthly recurring cost of purchased goods by 28%. Collaborated closely with the Swiss private owner to improve functionality, longevity and the deliverable of high quality state-of-the-art weapons; increased product throughput, (from 50 to 70 guns per month to 600 guns per month); improved supply chain quality and delivery performance to 98.8% approval, eliminated all mechanical product failures that resulted from mis-aligned outsourcing practices and inadequate internal manufacturing and assembly practices; reduced costs of purchased items by 24% over a 6 month period and labor costs per manufactured unit by 67%; improved inventory turns from 1 every two years to 7 inventory turns per year. Saginaw/Merrill, Michigan "Aerospace, Defense, Heavy Equipment, Oil & Gas, Machine Tool Build" 2012 - Present General Manager Scope: Member of corporate, MTG, executive leadership team. Involved in corporate and interbusiness unit strategic planning and execution. Responsible for flagship business unit planning, development, growth, execution, P&L performance, team development, GMP, profit margin enhancement, business unit capital expenditure identification-justification, all business function development, and daily operations; interface and planning with sister business units. Nurturing the internal relationships, providing growth potential between business units, and smoother intercompany business flow; identification and implementation of value added opportunities, enhanced through-put and working capital; business unit performance and client satisfaction mentor and coach. "Weapons Manufacturing" 2010 through 2012 Director of Operations Scope; Initiated and coached set up of good manufacturing practices and processes that increased profitability and through-put, oversaw ATF compliance, environmental safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.
