K.S . Krishnamurtis views on A strology, Karma and
Gems.

have written in J ASAs weblog (www.astrojasa.blogspot.in) that many people who have no idea who was K.S.
Krishnamurti, what his philosophy of astrology was and what are the fundamental tenets of Krishnamurti
Paddhati try to burden their own narrow views of remedies on KSK.

KSK and his KP astrology is NOT just the Six Readers, as many would force you to believe or accept,
by coercion or fear of rejection and through crooked misguidance.

The true KP astrology and the thinking of KSK and his world view of astrology is present in the original 2
volume 1961-62 Readers, his modified 6 Readers of 1971 and his edited magazineAstrology & Athristha
which he edited himself till his demise in March 1972. Without taking all these into cognizance and reading his
thoughts between the lines, it is not possible for anyone to understand that KSK did use Gem as remedial
suggestion in his practice of astrology!!

So, the question now arises as to how all this confusion is present in the minds of many. To show some
snippets of light to many, I will highlight a few published places from the desk of KSK, that will help the
discerning readers to understand why there is misunderstanding in the minds of many followers of KP with regard
to the KSK-KP-Gem remedies.

Firstly, in Second Reader, 1971 Edition, the pages from 15 to 33 are the rock solid foundation to
understand:
a) Karma Inequality in life
b) Destiny
c) Fate Inevitable
d) Shanti to ward off Evil

Reading and re-reading these sections (also available in all subsequent editions) will give one a clear idea
that destiny, free-will fate and remedies have different layers of existence. Also performance of any remedy is a
function of the planetary combinations in the horoscope and those that perform remedies and get solutions are pre-
destined to it. Those that do not get any result in spite of performing any remedy is also pre-destined for it. It is the
horoscope, therefore, that decides. There is no one, single general rule to follow. Every horoscope will decide the
quantity of redeemable Karma and the consequent remedies.

Secondly, in the Third Reader, 1971 Edition, the pages 242 to 246 shows Which Gems Can I use?. The
fact that this chapter exists in the 1971 Reader (and also included in all subsequent readers published later on) is a
clear indication that KSK was neither a disbeliever in remedial measures nor was cynical about Gem-based
remedies. For the benefit of all, reproduced below are the scanned pages of page 242 and 245, by far the most
important pages on gem remedies in KP. Readers must note that this article was first printed in Astrology &
Athristha, November 1969, pages 3-6.

Thirdly and lastly in Astrology & Athrishta magazines from 1964 to 1971 March, there are few
strategic articles in which KSK made suggestions for remedies and Gems!!

These are hardly known by many followers except the ones who were very closely associated with the
Guru himself. Out of these many articles, I am providing below some snippet views for all the readers of J ASA so
that truth dawns on all those who really seek it.

For example, I provide below a scanned article from the Astrology & Athristha, April 1967 issue, titled
Can I become a Sanyasi. Readers to note the last paragraph of the article where KSK is suggesting the best stone
to ward off evil and the logic of selection!!

Grateful Acknowledgement: Astrology & Athristha, April 1967 pg. 12-13
JASA Vol 1(6) May-Jun 2012

The above scanned article is from Astrology & Athistha, December, 1966 issue, titled God or Gem
which will grant success. This is the finest piece of philosophical logic that KSK has used to make the readers
understand pre-destination and remedies. Readers can note that inthis article also in the last paragraph, KSK
finally suggests remedial measures---of gems, mantra and color!!

So, I would like to urge the readers of J ASA not to fall prey and trap to internet-based, self-decided KP
buffs. J ust because somebody on the web says that KSK never believed in remedies, it does not mean that it is the
whole truth. J ASA is bringing out the facts to reveal and establish the truth. JASA will provide the facts and you
will decide.

In this issue of J ASA, which is the last issue of the inaugural year (JASA will step in its 2
nd
year in the
next issue), we have 16 authors contributing fifteen brilliant articles. Among these celebrated authors, we
have 2 authors who are direct students of K.S. Krishnamurthy. The readers of J ASA
are very fortunate to get guidance from these living legends and from the other authors who have a proven
track record of correct predictions.

Each of the articles in this issue are Ek se Bade kar ek (each one great in its own way). I do not want
to dilute your enthusiasm and enjoyment by giving you a summary like I did in every past issue. I am sure you
will find each and every article different in flavor, approach and success. Read each of the articles and newer
and broader dimensions of stellar astrology will open-up for you.

Uchista has helped me on giving correct intuition, proper guidance and a selective approach in the matter of prognostication. HE
has not confounded me; HE has not clouded my vision. Nor HE created any opportunity to regret. But, above all, he has set me
on the correct path and with HIS Grace I have launched upon New theory. Now I say that though I gave the title to my theory
as Krishnamurti Padhdhati, yet it is honestly Uchishta Mahaganapathi Padhdhati.

Beware!!
Some unscrupulous persons are trying to force KP
followers into believing that KP is limited only to the
1971 Six Readers. They are trying to narrow down

selfish ends by calculative misguidance.
Beware of these people!!
Remember that True and Real KP knowledge is:

OM GANESHAYA NAMAHA

Shri K. Baskaran
Baskara Astrology School Admission
(contd. from K.S.V. Ramanis Part IV)

T. Saravanaraju

Getting into an admission for preliminary level education like either Pre- KG or LKG is very tougher than
seeking a seat in an engineering college especially in Metropolitan cities.

A friend of mine tried his best to seek LKG admission for his son in a reputed school. In this connection he
attempted to get an entry in a school located in the heart of the city at Chennai which is also recognized as one
among the top ten schools of India.

Interestingly, in totality the receipt of application for selection was more than 600 for a quantum of only 45-50
seats. To keep this in mind he seems to be worried on this matter whether the given application for his son
would get through for admission into the school or not.

In order to help him and to access the Fate of the situation I asked him to give a number in between 1 and 249
for horary analysis on Friday, the 2nd March 2012 and I told him that he would be known the result by
tomorrow after examining the chart.

As requested by me, he has informed me the number 122 for my consideration. Based on this, the rotated
chart is here below (being 5th house taken as lagna to indicate his son). Lagna sub lord should reveal the
nature of query. Here the lagna sublord is Sun which is posited in starlord of Rahu and sublord of Moon.

(Sun --- in Starlord of Rahu --- in Sublord of Moon). Rahu, the Starlord appeared as Cuspal Sub lord of 3
bhava which indicates about the application already submitted.
Moon, the sublord appeared as Cuspal Sublord of 7th bhava which indicates the intention of getting enrolled
in the school. (7th represents here the Institution.). 4th Cusp denotes ones basic education.

saraus2001@yahoo.co.in
JASA Vol 1(6) May-Jun 2012

Here the sublord of 4th Cusp is Mercury which is placed in starlord of Saturn and in its own Sub. As well
Mercury is also deposited as Cuspal Sublord for (2, 8) bhavas.

Mercury (4) --- in starlord of Saturn (6,12) -- in sublord of Mercury (4).

As per Baskara special rule in this case Mercury would indicate the Event or Sambhava and the starlord
Saturn would act as a decider.

6th house indicates success in competition and ones efforts and 12th house indicates the benefit to the
institution by way of collection of donation, admission fee etc.

As it has been decided that the result for the entrants who are eligible for admission in to the Nursery section
would be published on Monday, the 5th March 2012, I have decided to straightaway seek the Anthara lord
and its corresponding cuspal interlink ( for an event of short notice)

Venus, the anthara Lord which does not hold any position as Cuspal Sublord but does hold Cuspal starlord
position for (4, 8, 12) bhavas. By being in its own sub, Venus here would act as an event (or Sambhava) and
the Starlord Kethu would act as decider.

The Starlord Kethu does not hold any position as Cuspal Sublord but interestingly occupied in the 4th house.

Based on my above analysis next day I told him " Your son will definitely get the admission as desired He
laughed at me and left the place half- heartedly.

On Monday, the 5th March 2012 we were sitting and relaxing in the canteen premises. In between a call has
come to him and he responded to that call that was nothing but from the reputed school to convey him about
the confirmation of his sons admission into the school.

He was astonished on knowing the end result which exactly in line with the given prediction through Baskara
System.

The credit goes to Shri K. Baskaran Ji who taught me this noble science.

I would request the readers to go through the basic lessons on Baskara Astrology written earlier by Shri KSV
Ramani J i in J ASA. This will be helpful for everyone to cross check the rules which were applied in the
above analysis.

JASA congratulates author Sri T.
Saravanaraju for his correct predictions!!

First PM of the World and then Lady Leaders Part I

G.H.W. Silva

Now in the world leadership we could see a number of ladies are holding the main positions in many countries. It is
expected to discuss the leadership qualities and similarities in their birth charts and planetary positions, as an
astrological analysis and also as a post mortem...
The First Prime Minister of the World, Madam Sirimavo Bandaranaike was born on the 17
th
April 1916 in a town called
Balangoda in the Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. The father of Sirima Ratwatte took her horoscope to an
astrologer called Giraha, meaning Graha or planet. The astrologers prediction was that this girl will be a king. But the
father had not accepted this, as a lady to become a king in Sri Lanka was something like a dream in that time. Sirima
Ratwatte was born in the Virgo ascendant and her 10
th
cusp was occupied by Saturn, lord of 5th and 6
h
bhavas.
We are writing this article on the birth charts of the world first Prime Minister and Madam Srimathi Indira Gandhi, the
first lady PM in India and expect to do the continuation on the other lady leaders in the world.

Mr. S.W.R.D Bandaranaike became the Prime Minister. of Ceylon on 05
th
April 1956 after winning the general elections
in the country. He was assassinated on the 25
th
September 1959 by a gunman at his residence, and then she took over the
Sri Lanka Freedom Party lead by her husband.
After the election victory of the SLFP in J uly 1960, Sirmavo Bandaranaike sworn in as the Prime Minister of Ceylon.
Becoming the Worlds First Woman Prime Minister. On this day, she was under the influence of Saturn dasa and
Mercury bukthi. In her birth chart, Saturn is a significator for 4, 10, 5 and 6 and deposited in a star of Rahu, a
signifiactor for 1, 4, and 11. Saturns signification as 4 and 10, show home or country, popularity and leadership, 5 for
speculation and 6 as winning over opponents and income from others or by serving. This Saturn shows indications of
life during its dasa and sub dasas. This Saturn is deposited in a star of Rahu, who will give the results according to his
significations in the birth chart. Rahu is deposited in the 5
th
bhava of the natal chart. It is for election or gambling. By
being a significator for the ascendant, Rahu will be a person to give self courage and the leadership.
The 11
th
for fulfillment of expectations and winning. So the dasa lord shows that it is a goodtime for Mrs. Bandaranaike
to win the elections. On this day Saturn was transiting in the 5
th
bhava in opposition to its natal position. and in a star of
Venus who is a significator for 1, 9, 11 and 2 in the birth chart. This Venus will help the native to go straight with
expectations and gains. This Venus was transiting in the 11
th
of the natal chart is responsible for making the expectations
fulfilled. Again this transiting Venus was in conjunction with natal Kethu, who is a significator for 10, 11, 5 and 6
th
in
the birth chart. The transiting Venus has come to the 11
th
bhava, in conjunction with Kethu and in a sign of Moon, a
significator for 11, 1, 3 and 8
th
.bhavas.
Bukthi lord Mercury is a significator for 11, 8, 1 and 10 in the birth chart and deposited in a star of Kethu, who is
signifying 10, 11, 5 and 6
th
bhavas. Mercury was transiting in the 10
th
bhava with square aspect to natal Moon. Mercury
was transiting in a star of J upiter, who is a significator for 10, 7 and 1 in the natal chart. Luminary Sun was transiting
with square aspect to its natal position and in a star of Saturn, who is a significator for 10, 5 and 6 bhavas in the natal
chart. Moon also transiting in the 10
th
bhava and in a star of Rahu. All these bhavas signify the victory, popularity win
over elections and gains.
Her party lost in the next elections and she became the first Opposition Leader of the country. Mr. Dudley Senanayake
won the elections on 22
nd
March 1965.
In 1970, the coalition lead by Madam Bandaranaike won the election and she became the Prime Minister for the second
time. In May 1972,.The constitution of Ceylon was changed and the country became a republic and the name was also
changed to Sri Lanka during her regime,
But she lost the elections again in 1977 exactly after seven years of becoming the first lady PM. When she lost the
power, she was under the influence of Mercury dasa. Mercury is a significator for 10, 7 and ascendant in the birth chart.
This Mercury is deposited in a star of Kethu, who is signifying the 10, 5 and 6
th
bhavas.
Sun was transiting in trine to the natal position, as the Sun was in the first winning day.
Rahu was transiting on the Moons natal position.
Later the Sri Lanka constitution was changed again to become a Republic under The Executive Presidency.
Later, when her daughter, Mrs. Chandrika Kumaranatunge became the Executive President, Mrs. Bandaranaike took
oaths as the Prime Minister, under her daughters government.
Mrs. Bandaranaike passed away on the 10

October 2000 due to a heart attack.
Madam Srimathi Indira Gandhi was born on 19

Madam Indira is about 19
th
months younger to Madam Sirimavo. Due to this time change, Sun has moved 19 signs,
J upiter about 2 signs, Saturn about 33 degrees, Rahu and Kethu about 29 degrees back words.
Our attempt is to compare the planetary configurations of these two great ladies and again see the similarities and
agreements with the other lady leaders.
Madam Srimathi Indira Gandhi was a Prime Minister of India for over a decade and was assassinated on 31
st
October
1984 in Delhi, India.
She joined the Indian National Congress in 1938.
In 1942, she got married to Feroze Gandhi, a journalist and soon after the marriage they were imprisoned in September
1942 to May 1943. Their eldest son was born in 1944
She became the PM of India in 1967 1977 and re elected in 1980 and ruled until her death.
When she assumed duties as Prime Minister, she was under the influence of J upiter maha dasa. In her birth chart, this
J upiter is in the 10
th
bhava, owner of 6 and 9
th
. J upiter was deposited in a star of Moon, who is a significator for 4, 6, 2
and ascendant. In 1967, when she became the Prime Minister of India, her dasa lord was transiting in the ascendant in
opposition to the lagna lord Moon.
Again in 1980, when she came back to power she was under the influence of Saturn maha dasa and Mercury bukthi.
When she was imprisoned for a short period by the British Rule, she was under the influence of Rahu dasa and Saturn
bukthi. Rahu is a significator for 5 and 11. Rahu is in a star of Kethu and also the significator for 5 and 11in the birth
chart.
Bukthi lord Saturn is a significator for 4, 12, 3, 7 and 8 in the birth chart. This Saturn is in a star of Mercury, signifying
all the bhavas as that of Saturn.
Antara lord was Mars. Mars is deposited in a star of Venus and both these planets are significators for 5, 1, 4, 11 and
10
th
bhavas. All these significators are contributing for imprisonment.
On this day, the transiting Rahu was in exact trine aspect to the natal position. Bukthi lord was in sextile aspect to the
natal position. Mars was sextile to natal Sun and Moon was trine to its natal position.
. To be continued.

KP Decides the Promotion

Madhu N Nair (aka Pranav)

I got a telephone call from one Mr Elongovan (real name withheld for obvious reason) who told me that
he hails from Salem district of the neighbouring state of Tamilnadu.

Elongovan is an ardent follower of KP System and from his conversation itself I could make out he has
sound knowledge in KP. Elongovan being humble didnt mind taking a consultation despite his own in-
depth knowledge in KP. Elongovan is well placed in career in a reputed fortune 500 company having
two major fuel refineries in India.

He was eager to know whether he will get a promotion and if so when?

Before venturing to answer the query, let us see the Time line of the current dasha lord J upiter and how
J upiter through its stellar lord and sub lord influenced the life of Elongavan.

Analysis of Jupiter , the dashalord in currency

J upiter dasha is from 20 May 1996 to 20 May 2012. J upiter owns V & VIII and is placed in its own sign
Sagittarius, identical with fourth Bhava. J upiter has a planet in its star Punaravasu as such; it is not a
strong significator of IV, V and VIII. J upiter is in Moolam nakshatra ruled by Kethu placed in XI. As a
node, Ketu deputizes for Moon, the ruler of sign Cancer ;as such Kethu becomes a full significator of XII
too.

Kethu appears as the starlord of Ascendant, V & IX. The sublord of the dashalord J upiter is Rahu
stationed in Capricorn, identical with fifth Bhava , having no planets in any of its three lunar mansions .
So Rahu emerges as a strong significator of V. Rahu , the sublord of J upiter the dashalord , is in
Uttarashada star owned by Sun, the ruler of the Ascendant placed in XII . As a Node , Rahu proxies for
Saturn ruler of VI & VII placed in X in sign Taurus. A breakup of the signification attained by J upiter via
star lord as well as sub lord is given below for easy understanding

Via starlord Kethu----- Asc, V, IX , XI & XII

Via sublord Rahu ---- , Asc , V, VI VII ,X, XII

Common signification ----Asc, V & XII

Failure in Love affair

The advent of J upiter , ruler of fifth House of Love as well as eighth House of mental anguish saw the
native losing (impact of IV & XII signification ) his long loved one (one way traffic , not known to the
girl) getting married to another person.

Higher Education

The very beginning of the J upiter sub period , saw the subject getting admission for MBA. (impact of the
signification of 9H of Higher education )

Entry into service

On 23May 1998 , in the end of J upiter sub period, he entered service (impact of the signification of 6H
of service and 10H of career )

Twice Transferred in Jupiter/ Saturn

Saturn in X (occupation ) having no planets in its star . Saturn strongly signifies IX (change in job) and
XII (new environment ) and is a feeble significator of IV (planet in IV) . Both the dasha lord J upiter and
the sub period lord Saturn begets the signification of IX & XII . Cumulative effect was multiple transfers
in J upiter/Saturn .

Marriage in Jupiter/Mercury

Impact of the signification of Fifth House (the unifier) seventh House (spouse) of the major period ruler
J upiter and the signification of second House (family) and eleventh House (permanent tie of friendship )
of the sub period ruler Mercury

Promotion in Jupiter/Mercury

Mercury is in its own star in XII . This could not give promotion . Note Mercury is in the sub of Mars
having planets in its star whereas Mars is in the star of Kethu that proxies for Moon in X (Promotion).
Hence the promotion in Mercury sub period .

Punishment Transfer and humiliation in Jupiter /Venus

It is generally observed in case studies ,that the sub period of female planets viz, Moon and Venus ,
are generally troublesome for male natives , irrespective of the Ascendant , ownership and
placement of Jupiter, Moon and Venus

In this case, , Venus has no planets in its star as such it is strong significator of III & X . Venus is in the
star of Rahu in V and is in the sub of Moon. Moon has no planets in its stars . So strongly signify XII
(change in environment )

The KP student may take note , that for punishment and humiliation of any sort 8H should operate . Here
the 8H (punishment, humiliation , insult ) signification of dasha lord J upiter colluded with 12H (secret
inimical activities, change in station ) of sub period ruler Venus, to bring about punishment transfer and
humiliation. .

The subject says despite being in a lucrative job, in the same period he had financial difficulties.

JASA Vol 1(6) May-Jun 2012
22

5H & 8H signification (both unfavourable for money matters ) of Dashalord coupled with strong 12H
(expenditure ) indication of the sub period ruler Venus , well explains this.

Birth of a son in Jupiter/ Venus.

Venus the subperiod ruler is in the star of Rahu in 5H (offspring) .
So childbirth in Venus sub period

Transfer in Jupiter/Moon

The sublord of the Moon is Rahu that proxies for Saturn, a significator of IX( change in job) and XII
(new environment) . Hence the transfer .

Bought a flat in Jupiter /Rahu

Rahu proxies for Saturn , a strong significator of 4H of flat and 9H that facilitates buying and 12H of
expense

Hence a flat was bought

Reverting to his query on promotion , I looked into the major , sub and subsub period operating at the
time of consultation ,(2 J anuary 2012 ). It was J upiter , Rahu Sun. We have aleady seen how J upiter
becomes a significator of 10H (promotion) and 11H (fulfillment of desire). Rahu , proxies for Saturn in
10H (promotion). So promotion could come in J upter/ Rahu .

I ruled out promotion coming in the sub sub period of Sun in 12H in the star of Mercury in 12H and in
the sub of kethu placed in the star of J upiter in 4H owning 5H and 8H . Next comes the subsub period of
Moon from 18 J an to 30 Mar 2012. There are no planets in the star of Moon in 10H of promotion .
Importantly , Rahu the subperiod lord of Moon proxies for Saturn stationed in the 10H of promotion.

Transit

J upiter , the dashalord will be in Transit in Bharani nakshatra ruled by Venus, the lord of 10H from 1
March 2012 onwards

Rahu the subperiod ruler, will be in Transit in Anuradha nakshatra ruled by Saturn , stationed in 10H ,in
the natal chart .

Transit fully agrees.

So it is final , promotion will come in Jup./Rahu/Moon. Elongovan was not much confident and cannot
believe promotion will come so soon , given the problems he was facing in the work sphere .

He wanted me to narrow down the time frame of promotion to the exact date . After getting an assurance
from him that he wont blame me, if the prediction given to the exact day goes wrong , I ventured to
predict .

JASA Vol 1(6) May-Jun 2012
24

As mentioned earlier, it was the sub sub period of Moon that was going on .

I searched the ephemeris to find out , in the subsub period of Moon, when Transit Moon will activate
natal Venus, the ruler of 10H of occupation placed in Gemini, and found out on 15 March, Transit
Moon will be in Sagittarius and from 12 pm onwards will be closely aspecting natal Venus
.
So it was predicted, he could expect promotion around 12 PM on 15 March 2012.

The prediction no doubt came very accurate, but 12 hours earlier than the predicted time . Elongavan ,
rang me around 2330hrs IST 130 pm of 14 March to break the glad news that the prediction was fulfilled
and the promotion list put in the website around 2315 hrs IST included his name .

In hindsight, I feel , Transit Moon activating its own radical position , triggered the event .

Let me close by Thanking Dr Andrew , who is sure to adorn within a short span of time , the same
exalted position enjoyed by late K M Subramonium the doyen of KP of yester years , by being the
nucleus of all learning activities in the KP system.

The author is a researcher in Astrology.

Want to Gain in Trading in Stock Market?

Sunil Gondhalekar

To earn in share market is very difficult but it is very easy to earn if you follow 4 step theory.

To gain in share market for short term (generally all futures trading are termed as short term gains) we
have to judge 5
th
cuspal sublord and if it signifies 2-6- or 11 th house then you can earn good profit from
such a deal.

Now let us check the study case no.1.
D.O.J .: 20 Sept. 2011
T.O.J .: 11.55.12 AM
Place of J udgment : Thane
Horary no. 01 (random number generated from s/w)
The query was whether to short Nifty at 5105?
The chart is attached.
In this chart 5
th
sub is Venus and it signifies as follows:
Note: the figures in brackets are strong significators.
PLANET : VENUS
Itself :-------------- Venus:- 6 2 3 7
It's N.Swami :-------- Moon:- (3) (5) Cusp Yuti: (3)
It's Sub :------------ Rahu:- (8) Rashi-Swami Mars (4) 1 8 (9) Saturn-Drusht (6) (11) (12)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Mercury:- (6) 4 Cusp Yuti: (6)
Venus signifies 6-11 houses indicates the gain. Now let us check DBA.
At the time of judgment Mar dasa, Saturn Bhukti ,Rahu antara was up to 18
th
Oct. 2011.
Let us check the significations of these planets.
PLANET : MARS
Itself :-------------- Mars:- 4 1 8 9
It's N.Swami :-------- Saturn:- (6) (11) (12)
It's Sub :------------ Mercury:- 6 4 Cusp Yuti: (6)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Venus:- (6) 2 3 (7)

PLANET : SATURN
Itself :-------------- Saturn:- 6 11 12
It's N.Swami :-------- Mars:- (4) 1 8 (9)
It's Sub :------------ Mars:- 4 1 8 9
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Saturn:- (6) (11) (12)
PLANET : RAHU

Itself :-------------- Rahu:- (8) Rashi-Swami Mars (4) 1 8 (9) Saturn-Drusht (6) (11) (12)
It's N.Swami :-------- Mercury:- (6) 4 Cusp Yuti: (6)
It's Sub :------------ Rahu:- (8) Rashi-Swami Mars (4) 1 8 (9) Saturn-Drusht (6) (11) (12)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Mercury:- (6) 4 Cusp Yuti: (6)
So dasa ,bhukti and anatara signifies 6-11 houses strongly, and to complete the chain we need the prese
nce of 2
nd
house. In this chart only Ketu signifies 2 nd house as follows:

PLANET : KETU
Itself :-------------- Ketu:- (2) Rashi-Swami Venus (6) 2 3 (7)
It's N.Swami :-------- Mars:- (4) 1 8 (9)
It's Sub :------------ Rahu:- (8) Rashi-Swami Mars (4) 1 8 (9) Saturn-Drusht (6) (11) (12)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Mercury:- (6) 4 Cusp Yuti: (6)
So ketu sookshma period will give the gain to native. The period was from 23
rd
to 27
th
sept 2009.
When all these indications are profitable so native shorted nifty at 5105 and was waiting to cover the
position, but on same day Nifty closed at 5140. Next day also Nifty was closed at 5133 but on 22
nd
in
morning hours Nifty was down and native has covered his position at 5048 thus getting good profits.
Now let us check the another example case no 2
D.O.J .:21
st
October 2011
T.O.J .: 14-46-16 PM
Place of J udgment: Thane
Horary no. 99
The query was whether to buy Nifty at 5060?
The horary chart is attached herewith.
In this horary chart, 5
th
cuspal sublord is Saturn and signifies as follows:
PLANET : SATURN
Itself :-------------- Saturn:- (2) (6) (7)
It's N.Swami :-------- Mars:- (12) 4 (9) Cusp Yuti: (12)
It's Sub :------------ J upiter:- 8 5 8
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Ketu:- (10) Cusp Yuti: (10) Rashi-Swami Venus (2) (3) 10
N.swami: Moon (11) 12 asp. (6)
Saturn signifies 2-6-10-11 houses indicates the gains.
Now let us check DBA, At the time of judgment Mer/Ketu/J up /Sat period was up to
25
th
October 2011.
Let us check the significations of these planets.
PLANET : MERCURY
Itself :-------------- Mercury:- 2 2 11 Cusp Yuti: (3) Venus-Yuti 2 3 10
It's N.Swami :-------- Rahu:- (4) Cusp Yuti: (4) Rashi-Swami Mars (12) 4 (9)

It's N.Swami :-------- Moon:- (11) 12
It's Sub :------------ Sun:- (2) (1)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Mars:- (12) 4 (9) Cusp Yuti: (12)

PLANET : J UPITER
Itself :-------------- J upiter:- 8 5 8
It's N.Swami :-------- Ketu:- (10) Cusp Yuti: (10) Rashi-Swami Venus (2) (3) 10
It's Sub :------------ Mercury:- 2 2 11 Cusp Yuti: (3) Venus-Yuti 2 3 10

N.swami:Mer (2) 11
JASA Vol 1(6) May-Jun 2012
27

So dasa bhukti antara signifies 1-2-10-11 houses and 6
th
house signification is shown by Saturn. So up to
25
th
October native can gain from this deal.
Immediately the Nifty was bought at 5064 and then sold on 24
th
October 2011 at price of 5133, thus
gaining a handful profit.
Now again we will check another example case no.3 wherein cuspal sublord was indicating profits but
DBA were not supporting.
D.O.J .: 18
th
October 2011
T.O.J .: 11-31-07 A M
Place: Thane
Horary no.83
The query was whether to buy Nifty at 5040?
The horary chart is attached herewith.
In this horary chart 5
th
cuspal sublord is Saturn and signifies as follows:
PLANET : SATURN
Itself :-------------- Saturn:- (3) (7) (8) Cusp Yuti: (3)
It's N.Swami :-------- Mars:- (12) (5) 10
It's Sub :------------ J upiter:- (9) (6) 9
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Ketu:- (10) Rashi-Swami Venus (3) 4 11
N.swami-Moon (11)(1)
So Saturn signifies 1-6-10-11 houses indicating gains but it also signifies the detrimental houses 5-8-12
indicating loss. In such case we have to judge DBA very carefully.
At the time of judgment Rahu/Rahu/Sun period was up to 9
th
Nov.2011.
Let us check the significations
PLANET : RAHU
Itself :-------------- Rahu:- 4 Rashi-Swami Mars 12 5 10
It's N.Swami :-------- Mercury:- (3) 3 12 J upiter-Drusht (9) (6) 9
It's Sub :------------ Moon:- 11 1
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Rahu:- (4) Rashi-Swami Mars (12) (5) 10

PLANET : SUN
Itself :-------------- Sun:- (3) (2)
It's N.Swami :-------- Mars:- (12) (5) 10
It's Sub :------------ Mercury:- 3 3 12 J upiter-Drusht 9 6 9
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Rahu:- (4) Rashi-Swami Mars (12) (5) 10
So dasa , bhukti antara are only signifying 2 and 6
th
house and to complete the chain
The required house of 11
th
is shown by Ketu only and the period of this sookshma was from
29
th
Oct. 2011 to 1
st
Nov.2011. This period was beyond expire period. So buying was avoided.
In actual Nifty came down to 5010 level and thus saved the native from loss.
Thus we can gain from trading in share market by applying horary method with 4step theory rules.
Caution: The gain from share market is depends on the individual chart.

Putrakaraka J upiters resulted in defective child birth. Meena2 Naadi system-stellar effects J eeva and
Sareera principles are very useful prediction tools to arrive the timing of events and also nature of events
likely to happen. I had applied this principle to number of cases and found the rule is working very well
that is the reason I had given one more example for the benefit of readers since we are one of the guiding
forces for a needy person.

Real Time Correct PredictionA KP Analysis

Kausik Roy

In this issues article importance of KP Horary will be explained through a realtime KP Horary chart of
one of my friends brother. For the sake of privacy I will kept the identity of the querrent secret.

On 19
th
Dec 2011, I received a mail from my friend regarding his brothers job concern, it states that;

Hi Kausik da,
My brother has recently been employed with Oracle. There has been a problem goin on regarding
background verification and it might perhaps culminate up to him being removed from the service. I will
be greatful to you if you can give your reading on this Horary prashna.
My brothers name: SECRET
Horary No. 7
The company might give a decision regarding his employment either today or by tomorrow morning.

HORARY CHART ANALYSIS USING KP METHOD:-
After receiving this mail, I had erected the horary chart for KP no. 7 on 19.12.2011, 4.16 PM at
Mumbai. Please find it attached.

SCAN:- MON in the chart is signifying 6 (job related query, also some enemity) , 5 (change in job), in
SUB of VEN signifying 8/9 orb, 10 ,2,7.
So a clear cut query of job related(6) tention(8) and chance for betterment(10) by change in job(5,9) for
better financial growth(2) is indicated by MON, the karaka for mind.

Analysis:- 10th CSL is RAH(showing unnecessary hassle in job field/allegation mainly false in nature),
it has no planets in its stars, so RAH is very powerful and debiliated(bad for job) in Brischik
rashi(scorpio). RAH is in MER star, VEN sub none of them are retro. RAH signify 6,7,10 being CSL,
RAH conj MER(8,3,4,6), RAH is an agent to MAR(1,8,5) and also aspected by MAR, again RAH is in
MER star(8,3,4,6), so RAH strongly/primarily signify 8,3,4,1,5 and only weakly/secondarily signify 6 [
as 6th house is occupied by MON & SAT],7,10. So as strong signification of 3,8,4,1,5 present, which all
are negative/detrimental house for job/profession, from this horary nothing good can be told about job
prospect. Also as 11 signification is missing, I am afraid the co.s hearing will go against the native.

Now in DBA of horary MON-VEN-J UP-RAH i.e. 21.12.2011 to 02.01.2012 some bad news regarding
job font may come, RAH sukshma will start from 21.12.2011, i.e Wed 7.51 AM, after that the co.
decision may come.
Why so??- Because; a) MON=5,6 in VEN(8,9,2,7,10) sub --- Only Moderately good for job purpose
as sub is not favorable.

b) VEN=8,9,2,7,10 in SAT(6,11) sub--- Good for job as sub is supportive.
c) J UP(has no planets in its stars)=1,5,11 as CSL , 12,2,3,4,6,10,9,12,2,7 in
RAH(debilitated)(3,8,4,1,5,6,7,10) sub---- clearly not good for job purpose.
d) RAH(debilitated)(3,8,4,1,5,6,7,10) in VEN(8,9,2,7,10) sub--- clearly bad for job prospect.

This was my prediction and decision regarding my friends brothers job prospect in the existing
company. So I informed this to my friend, and obviously he was not happy with this prediction. And we
jointly decided to wait for the time to tell the truth!!

Actual Reality:-
Surprisingly on 30
th
Dec 2011, I got a phone call from my friend and I had received confirmation from
him, that his brother got bad news(sacked from his job) on 27 dec 2011.
Now as per prediction on horary chart, the bad news receiving time was predicted as follows;

"Now in DBA of horary MON-VEN-JUP-RAH i.e. 21.12.2011 to 02.01.2012 some bad news regarding
job font may come, RAH sukhma will start from 21.12.2011, i.e Wed 7.51 AM, after that the co.
decision may come".

So the prediction came true in the provided time frame of 21.12.2011 to 02.01.2012, i.e. on 27.12.2011,
when luminaries MON=>SAT-MON-RAH(MAR,MER) & SUN=>J UP-KET(VEN,MON)-SAT and the
day was tuesday ruled by MARS(sooksma lord RAH on 27.12.2011 was in MAR sign). i.e. MON was
transiting in dashapati MON's star and sooksma dasha pati RAH's sub; SUN was transiting in anthara lord
J UP's sign, bhuktilord VEN's star( as KET is agent of VEN)

SO THE ACCURACY OF KP SYSTEM ONCE AGAIN PROVED, ESPECIALLY KP HORARY SO
ACCURATE & MIRACULOUS!!

Prince Albert Victor Secret Life With KP Rules

Basilioli Sandro (Vediko)

Brief background
A friend who is a historic researcher ,ask me to look at Prince Albert Victor ( Prince Eddy )horoscope.
He told me that the official biography does not talk about any marriage or child birth ,actually his hidden
and maybe true story talks about a secret marriage with a lady called Annie Crook and a daughter called
Alice Crooke. His longevity is different, for the conspiracy stories, he lived up to age 69 years and died in
date 1933. There are other stories about his homosexuality scandal at Cleverland street London ,were he
was a regular visitor, Aleister Crowley was in possession of love letters between Prince Eddy with a
young boy. He was also put in house detention by the Royal family to keep secret the false death in 1893.
Before this, the royal family made a cover up for his scandals and this was the J ack the ripper murders . It
started with a black mail letter written by a friend of Annie Crooke , Mary Kelly that work part time has
a prostitute at White chappel ,east London. She and her friends prostitutes, wrote this black mail letter to
the royal family demanding money to keep secret the story of the marriage and the child of Prince Eddy.
All this story was written in the secret diary of in specter Abeline , kept by the son of Alice Crooker the
daughter of Prince Eddy.

This could be a middle or long life and there is no presence of a short life? If so, it falls in the period of

Saturn signify houses : 2,7 MRK, 9 BDK, 4(end of everything), 10(retirement from this world) and

New Krishnamurty Paddhati Pam theory

asp accepted and for nodes no aspect is considered.
*7): Aspects are considered, by two fast planets orb up to 5degree and by two slow planets orb up to
320 degree. If a slow planet conjoin or aspect a fast planet considered orb up to 5degree , if a fast planet
conjoin or aspects a slow planet considered orb up to 320 degree. Nodes are always in aspect even if orb
is not up to 5degrees. Aspects on cups are considered only as last signification with orb up to 320
degree.
If there is combination of rule 2 and 3 gives short life, if combination of 2 and 1 gives long life ,if
combination of 1 and 3 gives middle life , if combination of only 2 gives middle life, only 1 gives long
life and only 3 gives short life.
The analysis is to be done for planet, star and sub, then look at the formula of table A for longevity and if
all different, take the sub as final .
*Note: Depends if the analysis is for a slow or a fast planet in that moment.

Answer: He did not die by assassination or unnatural death, maybe died in a natural way?
I personally think that this is very close to the true story of Prince Albert Victor and his longevity
was different. I have used other rules for longevity for confidence (same results) , for marriage and
child birth I also used 4 step theory and Nadi Astrology ( Umang Taneja) to confirm. The photos
are taken from my friend archives it shows a old man that looks like the Prince,to compare with the
picture beside when he was a child.

When Will I get Married?

Er.V. K. Sharma

On date 09-02-2007 a lady along with her daughter came to me and she told me that she was very much
worried about marriage of her daughter. I asked her daughter who was accompanying her mother to give
me any number between 1 to 249.

Accordingly her daughter gave me no 12.

I made calculation for horary number 12 on dated 09-02-2007 at 2 pm (Chandigarh).

Moon Indication:-

Moon lord of 4 & 5 was situated in 6 close to 7 moon, star lord is rahu which is posited in 11
th
, rahu is
conjoined with venus which is also posited in 11
th
house & is lord of 2 & 7. So moon has linkage with 2,7
& 11 which shows she was eagerly Interested into know matrimonial query. So I decided to proceed
further into the matter.

Ruling planets at the time of calculation i.e. at 2 pm on 9 were as under:

Lagan Lord Mercury
Moon star lord Rahu
Moon lord Venus
Day lord Venus

Is Marriage promised?

If sub lord of 7
th
is significator of 2 or 7 or 11, then marriage is promised in the joint significator of 2,7 &
11.

Here In this case 7
th
sublord venus occupies 11
th
house & is lord of 2 & 7. Venus star lord J upiter
significator 8,9,12 & sub lord is also J upiter significator 8,9 & 12. So I told him that she will get married
to boy of foreign country although there may be some delay due to Punarapoo ( Saturn planet occupied
moon sign).

Timing of marriage:-
On dated 9-02-2007, rahu dasha was operating (17-5-96 to 17-5-2014).

Rahu occupies 11
th
house & rahu conjoined with venus which occupies 11
th
& is lord of 2 & 7. Star lord
J upiter signifies 8,9 & 12 and it aspects 2
nd
house , so rahu signifies 2,7 & 11, which is conducive for
marriage, moreover Rahu is also ruling planet .

Ketu Bhukti :-
In Rahu dasha ketu bhukti is running upto 5-12-2007 as ketu is not in ruling planet moreover due to
punarapoo, leave 1
st
bhukti of ketu , after ketu bhukti next come venus bhukti which is from 5-12-2007 to
5-12-2010.

Venus Bhukti ( 5-12-2007 to 5-12-2010) :-
Venu occupies 11
th
& its lord of 2 & 7 and star J upiter is significator 8,9 & 12 and J upiter also aspects 2
nd

house. So venus is strong significator 2,7 & 11, also venus is ruling planet.

Antra of venus :-
In Rahu dasha venus bhukti, venus antra is from 5-12-2007 to 5-6-2008 as discussed above venus is
strong significator of 2,7 & 11. Already we have taken Rahu, Venus both are ruling planets now Mercury
is left.

Sookshama :-
Take sooksham of mercury ( from 29-04-2008 to 25-05-2008), mercury occupies 11 and conjoined will
rahu & venus both significator of 2,7 & 11 as discussed above.

So I told the girl that she will get married in the month of April / May 2008 with a boy of foreign country.
Actual Fact of case:-

It was intimated by the mother of girl that her daughter got married in the month of April 2008 with boy
who was settled abroad in a foreign country.

My Pranam to guru ji Sh. K.S Krishnamurthy for that wonderful padhati of K.P.

Role of Sun & Sub-sub lords in Twin Births

O. V. N. Murthy & M. C. Appa

Om Gajaananam Namamyaham

Progeny (birth of a child) is considered one of the most important events in the life of a married person.
The horoscopes of both the husband and wife are to be judged for the prospect of progeny. Astrology
gives clear picture than even in medical tests in the early stages of conception. FROG test may fail, but
Astrology will not.

Q:- Will my wife deliver a TWIN? (Asked by husband).

A:- If the Sub Lord of the 11th cusp is deposited in the constellation of a planet which is either Mercury
or which occupies any of the dual signs, then ones wife will deliver more than one at a time.

Our revered Guruji Late Sri KS Krishnamurti ji had developed the KP system with Starlord and Sublord
Theory on Vimsottari Dasa concept, which has become very popular in Astrology field internationally for
its accurate predictions.

CaseStudiesin PredictiveA strology
M.C.Appa, born , in 1928 hails from the state OF Karnataka settled in Hyderabad. A
Mechanical Engineer by qualification and served in The Geological Survey of India,
(Government of India) and rose to the position of the Director, GSI. He had the
opportunity to participate in the sessions conducted by Late Prof: K.S.Krishnamurti
ji , while was workingin the northern states. His interest in Astrology and the
knowledge acquired over the years enabled him to receive titles from reputed
Astrological Research and Training Institutions. The titles include Daiwagna
Sarvabhouma, K.P. Siddhantha Siromani & Jotisha Siromani.

He Is a member of ICAS but practicing Krishnamurti Paddhati for more than four
decades. He is Member of KP Astrologers Forum since inception. M.C.Appa though
being the eldest member in the KP Astrologers Forum, is the most active member
which defies his age. He is a shining example for interest, dedication and
commitment to the Science of Astrology. All the Forum Meetings Introductory/
curtain raisers for the topics of discussions have been provided by M.C.Appa. Many
articles written by him were published in the leading Astrological Magazines, e-zines
& Journals. All his articles are thought provoking and have given directions for
research in KP Astrology.

Subsequently many of the KP followers have made research on this concept and developed new theories
for better utilisation of the KP Astrology. They are Cuspal Inter Links by Sri K Bhaskaran, 4 Step theory
by Sri Sunil Gondhelekhar and Sub Sub theory by Late Dr. Kesava Ranjan Kar.

The first one basing on Sublord Theory by Sri KSK is the basis for all other subsequent developments.
Sublord would be accurate if the time is correct upto Minutes whereas the Subsub lord changes in
seconds of time and the precision is more in accurately noted time of births.

Among the Subsub theories developed by Dr. K.R. Kar widely used and popular one is Multi Stellar
Theory (MST) and Theory of Short Prediction (TSP). MST can be used for Natal Charts where the birth
time is very accurate. In this situation normally the Subsub of planets would remain constant (moon fast
moving also) in small variation of time. Whereas the cuspal Subsub lords are changing fast with small
increment of seconds also, hence it may be appropriate to use this MST in Horary No.1-2193 where the
KP has already established a lead. I observed that recently the software manufacturers (Dr. K Rangarajan)
are also recognised this fact and introduced the concept of Nos. 1-2193 apart from the KP Horary 1-249
so that in future becaz of this software the calculation for Subsub are made easy and many eminent KP
Astrologers may experiment this theory in Horary also for better utilisation of the KP in advanced format
as advocated by Dr. KR Kar.

Now we analyse the MST known as Multi Stellar Theory wherein the following Four Components are
very essential for accurate predictions of the natal charts in which the noted time of birth should be
accurate not only in minutes but also in seconds (as cuspal Subsub lord changes so quickly).

Sl.
No
Table In the Star of
1. F-1 Planet A is in the Star B
2. F-2 Planet A is in the Star B, B is in the Star of C.
3. F-3 Planet A is in the sub sub of B, B is in the Star of C.
4. F-4 Planet A is in the sub sub of B B is in the Star of C. C is in the Star of
D

From the above table it is evident to note that for F-1 planets starlord B, F-2 planets starlord Bs
starlord C (here the starlord is under whose influence is taken - as C), F-3 planets Subsub lord B (in
convention KP and 4 step would take Sublord only as ultimate deciding factor for positive or negative) in
Star C, F-4 is extension of F-3 where Starlord C is in the Star of D (indirect influence of Star D on C to B
as Subsub of Planet A). Out of these Four components F-1 (Planet A in star of B) & F-3 (Planet A in the
Subsub of B who is in Star of C) are very popular for predictions. In F-1 Bs position as occupant and
Bhava lordship, F-3 Cs position as occupant and Bhava lordship should indicate to encouraging Bhavas
(significance) apart from other significances (may be negative) to a particular event such as education,
job, abroad, marriage, children, etc.

For any Bhava to be fruitful the Subsub lord of the cusp should signify favourable houses (apart from
negative) through F1 and F3 concept table. This is a substitution of traditional practice Sublord in KP to
Subsub lord (which has a bearing on the Sublord again divided into 9 Subsub lords and any planet out of
the 9 may take the significance of a particular cusp according to the accuracy of seconds in the timing).

From the above it is imperative to have accurate Cuspal Sublord (during question of doubt about Cuspal
Sublord then correct it with the help of Ruling Planet technique) for arriving at accurate predictions of the
each Bhava. In the modern age now with increased computerisation and emerging of Corporate Hospitals
many deliveries either by C Section or normal, the time is noted to the nearest minute. In case of Twins
by C Section the timing is more accurate in the Corporate Hospitals and even to seconds in US based

births. In KP we follow Sublord of I Cuspal Sublord to determine the physical features, characteristics,
longevity, connections with improving houses for status of the individual (Ref. Astrosecrets Readers I to
III).

Here it is felt to differentiate between twin births with the gender, colour and other features where the
difference is of a small increment of time in Birth. If the Sublord is different for both the babies it is very
easy for us to go ahead with the normal predictions from the Cuspal Sublord. However sometimes with
the small increment of time does not change the Cuspal Sublord then Dr. Kars Theory to differentiate
between the Babies is Subsub lord which indicates the clear traits and physical features.

We will take up two twin birth charts where the recorded time is accurate AA+rated even to seconds by
C Section in United Sates.

Meena 2 Naadi System: Stellar Effects One or Two planets
Controlling a Native

Nadi Jyothisa Kesari Dr. NVRA Raja, PhD, Jr.Meena 2

The constellations have a major role to play in deciding the strength of the planets as far as the digbala
and power of planets whether they are in exaltation or debilitation signs. Some astrologers of view that
exalted planet give good results and debilitated planets give bad results, but this is not correct. When the
lord of 6
th
, 8
th
and 12
th
house becomes exalted it may not be beneficial to the native, as far as the
prosperity in the material world is concerned. We will have give importance to the constellations and how
their lords are placed in the chart to arrive proper results and the outcome from the chart.

As we know that the usual order of strength of the planets as follows
2
:
1. Rahu and Ketu are most powerful
2. The Sun
3. The Moon
4. Venus
5. J upiter
6. Saturn
7. Mars
8. Mercury is the least powerful

It may be notices that the power or strength of the planets decreases gradually from Rahu and Ketu to
Mercury as stated above. In charts where there are combinations or conjunctions of planets and also in
cases where the house occupied by them is not their neither own nor exaltation houses, the aforesaid rule
will be useful to assess the strength of weakness of the planets.

We should consider the Moolatrikona sings and their importance in predictions and evaluating the
strength of the planets. Moolatrikona refers to the strongest sign owned by a planet. Moolatrikona sings
are for The sun is Leo, Moon is Taurus, Mars's is Aries, Mercury's is Virgo, J upiter's is Sagittarius,
Venus's is Libra, Saturns is Aquarius. We should note that the five planets Mars, Mercury, J upiter,
Venus and Saturn own one odd sign and one even sign. The natural benefic are more powerful in odd
signs and the natural malefic are more powerful or strong in even signs. This article is totally based on the
calculation of strength of the planets using method given by Guruji Sri NV Raghava Chary (Meena2).

Meena2 further states that whenever one or two planets control a chart or rather the horoscope of person
such a native is prominent, powerful, affluent, distinguished in life and society. Nobody should jump to a
conclusion that on account of such control one is bestowed with all good, but it depends on the factors
whether the planet or planets are beneficially or malefically disposed of in the particular chart in question.
Benefics confer good and favourable results where as on the other hand malefic shower bad, distressing
and troublesome results. In case of yoga operating on the controlling planet the native is well placed in
life will all good
3
. Here I have analysed one chart in detail and given principles for the benefit of
astrologers to apply these principles to analsyse the strength of the planets and the chart to arrive proper
results.

Principle:
If a horoscope is controlled by one planet and that too by a yoga karaka planet then that native will be
very well known, famous, very rich and notable personality. - Meena2 Naadi

Let us analyse how this chart is controlled by Venus the 5
th
lord:
The native is of Gemini lagna and in the 5
th
house we can note the Sun, Mercury and Venus together.
Here Venus is in her own house and also with 4
th
lord Mercury and hence she gets digbala. So the Sun the
lord of 3
rd
house and Mercury the lord of Lagna and the 4
th
house are under the control of the Venus.
Note the 6
th
lord and 11
th
lord Mars is in the star of Mercury and already Mercury is under the control of
Venus , hence Mars is also under the control of Venus. Similarly the Saturn is the lord of 8
th
and 9
th
house
is also in the star of Mercury so Saturn is also under the control of Venus.

The J upiter the lord of 7
th
and 10
th
is in the star of Saturn, already Saturn is under the control of Venus
over and above the J upiters dispositer Mars is under the control of Venus. Lord of 2
nd
the Moon is in the
house of J upiter and in the star of Saturn, both are under the control of Venus, hence the Moon is also
under the control of Venus. Ketu is in the star of J upiter and in the house of Mars; both are under the
control of Venus. Rahu is in the star of Sun and in the house of Venus, so Rahu is also under the control
of Venus. Entire chart of Hilary Clinton is controlled by the 5
th
lord Venus that is the reason she is the
most powerful lady with all comforts in the world and prominent personality. Venus is strong in Libra
than in Taurus, since benefices are stronger in odd sign. This (house lord) type of control of one planet is
called Sthoola control of one planet on the native.

Analysis:
How the single Planet Venus which is controlling Hillary Clinton given /giving her the growth and
elevation in her life and influencing every Dasa and Bukthi running:

Married Bill Clinton in 11-10-1975.
That time Dasa running was Mercury dasa, J upiter Bukthi and Mercury Anthara. Note here that Mercury
and J upiter are under the control of Venus, they are conjoined with Venus in 5
th
house. Then the Mercury
is in the star of J upiter and in turn we can see the connection of 5
th
house and 7
th
house and her love
marriage given her lot of elevation in status and power and authority. Since the dasa and bukthi lords are
controlled by Venus a single best Planet.
First Lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981 and 1983 to 1992 with husband Bill as Governor
This period running was Ketu dasa from 1-12-1979 to 1-12-1986 and then Venus Dasa. During this
period she had become the first lady of Arkansas, how could Ketu give such a elevation in public life, this
is due to control of Venus on Ketu through J upiter and Mars.
Birth of daughter Ms. Chelese 27

In Ketu dasa Ketu bukthi and J upiter anthara she was blessed with a wonderful and lovely daughter Ms
Chelese, note here that the Ketu is controlled by Venus the 5

Planet Venus is controlling the dasa lord Ketu.
First Lady of the United States
In office J anuary 20, 1993 J anuary 20, 2001. She had become First Lady of United States when she was
running Venus dasa Mars Bukthi-Note here the dasa running itself is Venus, that has given her ultimate
status ,power, authority and made her the most powerful women on the earth. The single and yoga karaka
Venus who controls her chart had given everything what she wanted in her life.
United States Senator from New York from January 3, 2001 January 21, 2009
She has become senator during Venus dasa Sun bukthi and Venus anthara. You can note that even after
her husband Bill Clinton had become ex-president, she immediately become the senator and continued in
political /public life and enjoying the status. The Dasa lord Venus had given this continuity and next Dasa
lord Sun being associated with Venus together in Libra, even though he is debilitated, since Sun is being
controlled by the Single Planet Venus, even in Sun dasa also she could enjoyed status , power and
authority.
US Secretary of State since January 2009-
She has become Secretary of State during Sun dasa J upiter Bukthi and J upiter anthara and continuing in
Moon dasa also. She is holding a most powerful post and executing it very successfully is all due to single
yoga giving planet that too the 5
th
lord is controlling her chart fully. Her service is recognised by the
world and in particular by US citizens. The name, fame, respect and prominence are all due to the most
powerful and the single Yoga Karaka planet Venus who controls her chart. Many wonderful principles

General

I have come across a few cases of infertility and/or inordinate delay in getting children. I have been
working them out with the standard canons of KP astrology and the results were reasonably well. I always
wondered if some parasharic techniques dealing with this aspect could be brought in KP domain and used
along with the existing norms to have better accuracy of decisions through an additional opinion.

This write-up is the result of my endeavor in this direction.

Tools of judgment for Infertility in KP domain

a. The childbirth is normally judged from the 2-5-11
th
houses.

b. The 5
th
house is the primary house of fertility and childbirth both for males and female. Since,
there is a possibility of males having children from multiple females, an emphasis is given to
assess the childbirth in males by the 11
th
house through their spouse (7
th
house) making the 11
th

house to indicate 5
th
from 7
th
house.

However, the 5th house in any nativity yet governs the fertility, in principle.

c. In case, if the 5
th
and 11
th
houses do not signify the 2-5-11
th
houses but signify 1-4-10
th
houses
and/or signify adverse houses of 5
th

and even infertility.

Sphutas in Parasharic domain

Reference is drawn to the Parasharic domain of astrology where the Beeja Sphuta for males and Kshetra
Sphuta for females are extensively used to decide the fertility /sterility. There are enough references for
this parameter in various scriptures, though the readers may refer parasharic classic Phaladeepika,
Chapter 12, shloka 14 and 15 for the details. Dr. Raman has also elaborated the relevance of these
sphutas in his book How to J udge horoscope volume-I, chapter dealing with 5
th
house.

It may be noted that the 5
th
house has mainly to do with fecundity, birth of children, their prosperity,
happiness or adversity or misery from children, thus the 5
th
house becomes the core focus of the issues
relating to fertility/sterility/birth of children.

The calculation of sphutas and their applicability in parasharic domain are defined as follows.

a. Beeja Sphuta (BS) for males is arrived at by the summation of the longitudes of Sun, Venus and
J upiter after expunging the multiples of 360 degrees. The signwise longitude thus arrived is called
Beeja Sphuta or the seed.

In case of males, Sun represents as a universal atmakaraka (the repository of jagadatma needed to make
the seed fertile), Venus indicates Semen and J upiter indicates the life force as J eeva or as putrakaraka.

b. Kshetra Sphuta (KS) for females is arrived at by the summation of the longitudes of Moon, Mars and
J upiter after expunging the multiples of 360 degrees. The signwise longitude thus arrived is called
Kshetra Sphuta or the bed.

In case of females, the Moon indicates the fertility cycles in the form of periods; Mars indicates the
quality of blood and J upiter as the J eeva symbolizing the life force as putrakaraka.

c. As the exact sign-wise longitudes are obtained, it is customary to plot both the sphutas in the rashi and
navamsha chart.

d. In males, the Beeja Shuta (BS) is analysed as follows

If the BS falls in odd signs both in Rasi and Navamsha chart with the association of benefics,
the fertility is ensured and the male is considered fit for procreation, as the seed is supposed to
be in requisite strength. On the contrary, the association of malefics with BS cause problem in
fertility and childbirth.

If the BS falls in the even sign in rashi chart but in odd sign in navamsha, the childbirth is
delayed and cause trouble. Here the placement in Navamsha prevails.

If BS falls in even signs both in rashi and navamsha chart with the association of malefics, the
fertility is denied.

e. In females, the Kshetra Sphuta (KS) is analysed as follows

JASA Vol 1(6) May-Jun 2012
66

If the KS falls in even signs both in Rasi and Navamsha chart with the association of benefics,
the fertility is ensured and the female is considered fit for procreation, as the bed is fertile to
hold and nurture the foetus well.

If the KS falls in the odd sign in rashi chart but in even sign in navamsha chart, the childbirth
is delayed and/or is aborted.

If KS falls in odd signs both in rashi and navamsha chart with the association of malefics, the
fertility is denied.

f. The sphutas are taken to further tests by relating them to the barren signs and to the Santan tithi and
Santan Karna. Interested readers may refer the standard classical references of parasharic astrology.

The minimum required elaboration is made about the sphutas as above to provide the necessary flow of
continuity of thoughts in the subject under discussion.

Usefulness of sphutas in KP domain

It struck to me that as the sphutas are arrived in exact longitudes; hence they may be plotted in terms
of the KP styled ownership of Sign lord-Star lord-Sub lord-Sub sub lord.

Once, the KP chart is prepared, the additional parameters of these sphutas may also be inserted in the
chart which may offer additional help in delineating the issue of fertility/sterility more decisively.

The sphutas may be put to usage both in natal and in the horary charts. Whether, the natal chart is
under examination or the prashna chart based on time or the horary numbers, the sphutas have been
found to reveal good conclusions.

Even if the longitudes of sphutas would not change much considered in short duration of time for
multiple prashnas, the relative placement of the sphutas with the house cusps would make it very
dynamic in all possible situations, hence are universally applicable.

It would be interesting to note that Prof KSK did realize the importance of these sphutas while
quoting the parameters of childbirth mentioned in parasharic domain of knowledge, though not
adopted for delineation. The readers may refer 4
th
reader, page 213.

Hypothesis of the usage of sphutas in KP domain

a. Let us agree that the sphutas indicate a sensitive point in the zodiac just similar to the planet/house
cusps.

b. The standard rules of KP styled evaluation need be applied to the sphutas, just as we do for the
planets.

In this spirit, the sphutas may be evaluated for its placement, its stellar significations and the
significations at the sub-lord level. As usual, the sub-lord signification of sphutas shall decide the results.
These significations may be evaluated in reference to the 5
th
house and other support houses considered
for fertility and childbirth.

To make it clear, the sub-lord of a cusp or that of sphutas is analysed by the placement and lordships of
the sub-lord itself and that of its star lord.

JASA Vol 1(6) May-Jun 2012
67

The analysis may be approached by the conventional KP style or by the method of cuspal interlinks.

c. For the fertility and the childbirth to be ensured, the sub-lord of the sphuta should establish a
favourable connection with the 5
th
house/cusp and must not signify the houses denying childbirth.
Here the 5
th
house is taken to signify the overall prospects of fertility and childbirth, as indicated
already.

It would be good, if sub-lord of the sphuta signify the 2-5-11
th
house/cusp indicating the fertility and its
usefulness for the childbirth.

d. In general astrological parlance, the 4-8-12
th
houses from the house under consideration do not
promote the house, similarly the cusps. The denial of children gets probable if 5
th
cusp signifies
4
th
, 8
th
and 12
th
house/cusps amounting to the signification of the 12-4-8
th
house/cusp respectively
from the 5
th
house/cusp.

Thus, the sub-lord of the sphuta should not signify 4-8-12
th
houses, if it has to permit the fertility in
principle. However, the sphutas signifying the 2-5-11
th
houses shall be positive to the fertility and
childbirth.

e. The infertility, childlessness or the loss of children causes a scenario of extinction of kutumba
(family). Thus, if the 2
nd
cusp signifies only the 8-12
th
house/cusp from itself (meaning 9-1
st

house/cusp), it adds to the decision of infertility in a nativity if the combinations of infertility are
already available.

f. The 2
nd
house from 5
th
house acts as the maraca house for the 5
th
house and is thus detrimental to
the sustenance of pregnancy in principle. Thus the 6
th
house acts as the house of death (maraca)
for the 5
th
house (childbirth) and it is generally seen that all abortions and loss of childbirth
necessarily involve the 6
th
house operative in dasha and transits.

In view of this, the sub-lord of the sphutas should not signify the 6
th
house/cusp for sustenance of
childbirth. If the sphutas favourably signify the 5
th
house/cusp with additional signification of the 6
th

house/cusp, we may conclude the childbirth with some fallout such as abortions etc.

g. For timing the individual pregnancies, the sphutas are yet useful and they have to establish a
useful signification with the respective house/cusp indicating the order of pregnancy, after the
fertility, in principle, is established.

h. As mentioned earlier, Sun is the natural putrakaraka and custodian of all souls. It may be noted
that a child is conceived when a consciousness (Moon) carried over from a birth traps a soul (Sun)
to give birth of a child (Lagna). In case, if the Sphutas are to be vitalized in effecting a birth, they
should amicably be positioned with respect to Sun and have suitable linkage to the Sun.

It may be noted that the above hypothesis of sphutas delineation is framed keeping the logistics in mind
to start with. The hypothesis is open to the modification after the concepts are tested on a large database
of cases.

Using Sphutas in conjunction with the LSPs

The author has given the concept of LSPs in the inaugural issue of J ASA, which may be referred by the
readers. In the case of delineation regarding childbirth, it would be a good idea to include the usage of
Sphutas with the LSPs such as Putra LSP etc. I have found very good results in such usage.

birth times, wherever found necessary. The birth charts are analyzed as per regular KP norms and in the
spirit of hypothesis made.

Now we will focus on the nature of 12 signs and how the planets are posited there to find out the trend
pattern. Based on the elements the 12 signs can be classified in 4 groups.

1. Fiery Signs: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius
2. Watery Signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.
3. Earthy Signs: Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn
4. Airy Signs: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius

Again there are 3 types of signs Movable, Fixed and Dual.
1. Movable Signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.
2. Fixed Signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.
3. Dual Signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.

So, combining the above two things we can conceptualize the below table.

From the above graph we can observe that among 3 fiery signs LEO is the most sensitive point. When
Mars is situated in LEO it becomes more sensitive. Apart from Mars Venus, Mercury, Moon and Rahu
has also a leading role to make this fiery sign more sensitive. In my opinion Aries and Sagittarius is not
playing a deciding role. LEO being the fiery and Fixed in nature is more important.

Watery Signs and different planets:

From the above graph we can observe that among 3 watery signs CANCER is the most sensitive point.
When Saturn is situated in CANCER it becomes more sensitive. Apart from Saturn Venus or Ketu has
also a leading role to make this watery sign more sensitive. The other two watery signs Scorpio and Pisces
have also a significant involvement here. Pisces containing Venus, Jupiter or Mars becomes dominant.
When Scorpio is afflicted by Saturn, Jupiter Rahu or Ketu it plays an important role.

When Mercury is situated in CAPRICORN it becomes more sensitive. Apart from Mercury Venus or

J upiter, Mercury or Moon situated in this sign make this sensitive. In my opinion Taurus is not playing a
deciding role here.

Airy Signs and different planets:

From the above graph we can observe that among 3 Airy signs Aquarius and Gemini is the most sensitive
point. Sun, Ketu or Moon sitting in Aquarius makes it more active. Similarly Sun, Saturn, Rahu or
Mercury sitting in Gemini makes it more sensitive. Even Venus has some role as well for Gemini when it
occupies this airy sign. When Libra is afflicted by Sun, Ketu or Jupiter the sign becomes active.

Now lets try to find out the occupancy trend for trans saturnine planets among 12 signs.

When Leo is afflicted by Neptune, this sign becomes very sensitive. The other two fiery signs are not
playing any role here.

Among the 3 watery signs again Cancer is the most sensitive point. Neptune or Pluto is the key planet for
this signs affliction.

Geminis affliction by Pluto makes this sign more powerful. Other Airy signs have no significant
contribution.

For the 3 Earthy signs Capricorn and Taurus are afflicted by Uranus. Virgo is afflicted by Neptune.
Summarizing all the above explanation in a tabular form can be expressed as below.

The red color signs are the most sensitive points in the zodiac. So, all the watery and airy signs must be
afflicted and 3 out of 4 movable signs should also be afflicted by the strong malefic.

From the above explanations a question may come to the readers mind that if the above
combinations are present in a horoscope then will there be Cancer? And the answer is definitely a big
NO. We need a step by step filtration mechanism to reach to a firm conclusion. And the above
observation will help us to refine and fine tune our prediction.

In the next issue Ill combine all the constructs together with some additional observations and explain the
flow chart step by step to arrive at the conclusion.

The Lunar Constellations (Part 2): Bharani

Dr. E.S. Neelakantan

The second in the list of constellations is Bharani: what is known as Bharani in J yotisha is Apabharani in
the Vedas. The presiding deity of Bharani is Yama. The Vedas say that Yama, when propitiated, could
bestow Moksha. Yama is the custodian of Dharma. All living beings, after birth experience different
effects, but the journey ends in death.

Paramatma is the supreme soul of which the Jivatma is a fraction; in other words, the individual soul.
The end of the individual soul is in its realization that it is no other than the supreme soul. The Vedas
suggest propitiation of Lord Yama as the means to attain this goal.

A girl born in Bharani star becomes a queen so goes the saying. The ability to rule is intrinsic to Yama.
This justifies the above saying. According to Varahamihira, a person born in Bharani has the following
qualities: capable of completing undertaken tasks, be truthful, be healthy, be smart, and be happy.
According to Parasara, a person born in Bharani has the following qualities: is courageous, ability to
conceal truth to succeed, covetous of others wealth, vacillating mind, has many enemies, and likes to eat

According to Varahamihira, a person born in the first quarter of Bharani Star will become a mendicant; one
born in the second is born to enjoy life; one born in the third quarter likes to perform misdeeds, while the
one born in the last quarter lives in penury.

In Astrological convention, another view prevails: a person born in first quarter of Bharani is peaceful, in
the second quarter is honest, in the third quarter is lustful, and in the fourth quarter is one who lives with
self-respect.

Bharani is a prohibited star for all auspicious deeds. It is also considered inauspicious for travel.
Nonetheless, Bharani is a suitable for the following activities: destruction of enemy strongholds,
administration of poison, working with fire arms, and working with fire.

A wrong notion that Yama is inauspicious because he heads the death ministry prevails among common
people. Nachiketas gained wisdom through the grace of Yama. In Sandhya worship, there is a verse in
praise of Yama, which is chanted everyday by people for securing safe passage during the post-death
journey. People born in Bharani star will be specially benefitted if they chant this verse. Bharani is suitable
to open meat shops. The act of killing birds and animals is termed as vyadhakarma. Astrology goes hand in
hand with Dharma. This rule need not be taken as a licence for indulging in slaughter of birds and animals.
The real import of this rule is that Bharani favours cruel activities. Hence textbooks on Muhurtha
recommend Bharani for such cruel activities, although prohibited by scriptures.

Bharani is also suitable for manufacture and sale of arms and ammunition. It is also suitable for
manufacture and sale of alcohol-based bevarages such as wine, starting Breweries and sale of other
alcoholic preparations. It also favours opening fish markets as well as commencement of fishing activities.
Bharani is also a favourable star for harvesting crops.

Curiously enough Bharani, although inauspicious in itself, is a good day for selling. For sale of
commodities seven stars are suitable these are Bharani, Krittika, Aslesha, Poorvaphalguni, Visakha,
Poorvashada, and Poorvabhadrapada. Books such as Muhurtha Chintamani take the view that stars suitable
for buying are unsuitable for selling. In commercial parlance this presents us with an interesting question:
For a sale to take place, it requires a buyer as well as a seller. If there is no muhurtha, which favours both
seller as well as buyer, then how can a sale take place, if both parties choose to rely on Astrology? I wish to
offer my views on this subject here. Let us assume, that I want to buy a share. I can telephone my share
broker on Ashwini day, which is favourable for buying. The share broker can actually buy the shares on the
next day, which is Bharani, which favours the seller. In this case both parties have complied with rules of
Astrology. The only debatable point here is whether Muhurtha refers to the time of purchase by the share
broker. Even in the case of immovable property the Agreement to sell and Sale deed can be executed
on two different dates. The point I wish to make here that this is a grey area in Muhurta and I, for one,
cannot think of any other way in which both buyer and seller can obey the laws of Astrology.

Ideal days for purchase are those days when the ruling star is either Ashwini or Swati or Satabhishek or
Sravana or Chitra or Revathi. To remember the six stars, a mnemonic CAR SSS, can be handy. CAR
representing Chitra, Ashwini, and Revati; SSS representing Swati, Sravana and Satabhisek.

Bharani is a suitable star for digging the foundation for new buildings. Note that I have said digging and
not laying; for laying the foundation, Bharani is unsuitable. Bharani is also suitable for underground
construction activities. Coming to legal matters, Bharani is a suitable for filing a court case during a
litigation. Patients can take bath upon recovery from an illness, when the ruling asterism is Bharani.
Bharani favours construction of eating houses, hostels, refreshment rooms and choultries.

Bharani belongs to a category of asterisms termed Vajra other stars in this category are Makha,
Poorvaphalguni, Poorvasadha, and Poorvabhadrapada. A girl who attains puberty when ruling star is
Bharani, gives birth to a son. Bharani reflects entanglement in the world of desires and illusions. The
constellation is owned by Venus and figures in the house of Mars. It is precisely this MarsVenus
influence on Bharani that makes it susceptible to illusions. Students can be trained in athletics, sports,
games and physical education on a day ruled by Bharani. Bharani is an ideal day to commence training in
outdoor games and sports. Some scholars hold the view that one can commence learning of Astrology on a
day ruled by Bharani. Bharani is also an ideal day to start learning Urdu, Persian, and Arabic, besides
French and German. Interestingly enough, Bharani is an auspicious day for borrowing money but not for
lending. If money is lent on Bharani day, then it augurs well for the borrower but not for the lender.

We will discuss the salient features of Krittika, in the next issue.

Rule of Assassination: An Empirical Research Part I

Subhash Ektare

Preamble

Year 2011 witnessed uprising against many dictators and monarchs particularly in Islamic Arab world.
Many Heads of States enjoying their status for many decades have to give up their powerful positions to
save their lives. One of them who did not surrender the power and was brutally murdered or assassinated
was Colonel Muammer Gaddafi. He ruled Libya as a dictator for 42 years. This incident prompted me to do
some research about planetary combinations in Natal charts of persons who were assassinated.

Data

Dictionary meaning of Assassination is to kill suddenly or secretively, especially a politically prominent
person or murder premeditatedly. So assassination is nothing but a cold blooded murder. However every
murder cannot be classified as assassination as defined in dictionary. Since such politically prominent,
famous personalities are always protected by their security guards, the assassination plots succeed in very
rare cases. Therefore it is very difficult to get even 25 such cases which is basic minimum requirement of
size of data.

The birth data of sixteen famous personalities who were assassinated was collected from Astro DataBank
and/or Wikipedia. These details are given in Appendix A (Will be shown in Part II).

Editors Note

Many readers of JASA may get surprised by reading this article as to how I can allow someone in my own Journal to write
about a subject matter that revisits my own research, refutes some previous findings of mine and offer new results for a
newer perspective.

The fact is that I rather feel PROUD that serious researchers like Sri Subhash Ektare ji has not only taken pains in
revisiting my research work, but also had the faith and trust on JASA that JASA is a truly democratic journal that
propagates the truth. Even I, as the Editor and my published work, am open to scrutiny, criticism and revisits by scholars
who follow good method of analysis. It is only when we will welcome and support democratically such efforts as Sri Ektare
jis that this noble science of astrology will move forward.

JASA is not like other KP electronic magazines on the internet, which mercilessly strangle the voice of anyone who dares to
question the work of editors and self-styled reviewers.

JASA warmly appreciates Sri Ektare jis work and the entire article is totally unedited for all the readers.

Earlier Researches

A quick search of internet reveals that research on this subject is negligible. One research paper titled as
An Exploratory Research on a New K P Rule of Assassination is worth mentioning here. This was
published in Feb 2008 issue of one of the e-magazines.

Scope

In K P there are no specific rules for assassination. However there are some rules and guidelines for
analyzing mode of death, place of death etc given by Guruji KSK in KP Readers. Since assassination can
be classified as death as far as the victim of assassination is concerned these rules and guidelines will be
applied and tested on the sample data.

1) 8
th
house is also called the house of death (KP Reader II/2002 Page 205; KP Reader VI/2002 Page
118)

2) While explaining Mode of Death Guruji KSK says:
(Refer KP Reader III/2000 Page 169)
(a) Danger is indicated during the conjoined periods and sub periods of the lord of sign, lord of
star, the lord of sub where the 8
th
cusp falls and the lord of constellation in which the sub lord is
deposited.
(b)Danger shown during the conjoined period of the lord of sign, lord of star, the lord of sub and the
lord of the constellation where the lord of the 8
th
house was deposited; or
(c) If the sub is ruled by a benefic, promising long life or cure, even though there is danger, one will
escape and survive. If the sub lord is a malefic, and a significator of death, one will succumb to
it. J upiter sub shows pleasant end; Mars sudden; Saturn chronic and lingering one.
(d) Gruji KSK continues further writing guidelines for predicting Place of Death. However it is
not included here as the same is beyond the scope of present study.

3) It can be seen that Guruji KSK did not mention the connection or involvement of 12
th
house in
respect of mode of death. Further while describing 12
th
house Guruji expressed it as lopasthana
(house of dis-appearance) {Refer K P Reader II/2002, Page 226} but never connected it to
murder/assassination. Brief mention about involvement of 12
th
house in connection with
murder/assassination was found on page 229 of K P Reader II/2002 where it says;

The 12
th
house is the 4
th
house reckoned from 9
th
house which rules the higher mind. Counting inversely, it
is the 4
th
house from the 3
rd
which is connected with lower or ordinary mental processes. Therefore, the 12
th

house has to do with secret working of the mind. It (12
th
house) has a bearing with such things as secret
plots and schemes, conspiracy and cunningness, envy and malice, fraud and treachery, intrigue and
deception and suicide, murder or assassination

Here the reference is to 12
th
house of the murderer or conspirator and not the 12
th
house of the victim of
assassination. That is the reason Guruji has not linked this house with the death of the native.

However, in earlier exploratory research mentioned above, new Rule of assassination, If 8
th
or 12
th
cusp
sub lord signifies 8, 12 then one can be assassinated in the DBA of significators of 8 and 12 houses was
tested. In this research paper involvement/linkage of 12
th
cusp sub lord (in addition to 8
th
cusp sub lord as
specified by Guruji KSK) to 8
th
house of death, in cases of assassinations, has been established. But this
cannot be relied upon because of small sample size and undefined methodology. Therefore the linkage of
12
th
cuspal sub lord is proposed to be studied in present paper either to validate the rule or to arrive at some
definite conclusion.
JASA Vol. 1(6) May-Jun 2012
78

Rules to be tested

1. The cuspal sub lord of 8
th
house is significator of 8, 2 or 7 (Maraka) or Badhaka.
2. The cuspal sub lord of 8
th
house is significator of 12.
3. The cuspal star lord of 8
th
house is significator of 8, 2 or 7 (Maraka) or Badhaka.
4. The sign lord of the 8
th
house is significator of 8, 2 or 7 (Maraka) or Badhaka.
5. Dasha/Bhukti/Antara lords are significator of 8 or 2 or 7 (Maraka) or Badhaka.
6. Dasha/Bhukti/Antara lords are significator of 12
7. The cuspal sub lord of 12
th
house is significator of 8 or 12.

Methodology

The rules mentioned above will be tested on available data with following two systems.

(A) 4 Step Theory

In this theory there are two types of significations (i) strong and (ii) weak. Only strong significations are
considered to be fruitful in materializing the event.

(B) Krishnamurti Paddhati

Grade A to Grade E signification table will be the basis for determining whether the rules pass or fail.

Signification strengths are in descending order with Grade A the strongest and Grade E as weakest. The
grade of signification of planet does not change even if there are no planets in its stars (i.e. planets having
positional status).

Each rule will be tested on data starting with case 1 and is denoted as Y if the rule passes or as N if
the rule fails.
The results are tabulated and percentages of pass results were calculated.

Acceptance Criteria

Minimum possibility of any planet signifying a particular house as different grade significator is as follows:

Sr.
No.
Signification Min possibility of planet being a significator Percentage
1 As Grade A 3 stars of grade B significator out of 27 total stars i.e. 3/27=1/9 11.11
2 As Grade B One of twelve houses i.e. 1/12 08.33
3 As Grade C 3 stars of grade D significator out of 27 total stars i.e. 3/27=1/9 11.11
4 As Grade D House owned by one of 7 planets i.e. 1/7 (Rah/Ket do not own any
house)
14.28
5 As Grade E Assuming 5
0
orb, a planet can aspect another if it is within 10
0
(+/- 5
0
)
of exact degree of aspect i.e. 10/360
02.77
Total min. possible percentage 47.60

Notes:
Grade A, B, C and E signification is likely to be absent in some cases.
Grade D signification has to be present as the house will be owned by one of the seven planets
(Rah/Ket do not own any house). So lowest minimum percentage will be 14.08%.
JASA Vol. 1(6) May-Jun 2012
79

Possibility of E Grade signification may be neglected for two reasons (i) it is already negligible and
(ii) it is weakest signification and so most of time it is not considered as fruitful significator.
The highest minimum percentage, neglecting E grade percentage, will be 44.83%. Allowing a margin of
5% (on lower side) it can be safely taken as 42%.
It is therefore felt that acceptance criteria for rule shall be 50% higher than this i.e. it should be
42x1.5=63%.

In Tables 1 to 3 the results of analysis by Four Step Theory are tabulated and observations are

Judgment of the Right Period for the Event

P. R. Muralidharan

1. Note the Dasa that operate during the appropriate period, then note down the star lord and sub lord
and their significations with their strength
2. If any planet is in any way connected to all the houses then that is most powerful
3. Planet in own star lord and own sub lord is powerful
4. Planet in own sign, is powerful.
5. Planet in exaltation, directional strength, Vargothama, MoolaTrikona is powerful.
6. If a planet aspect his own house then that particular house or cusp is fortifies.
7. Planet in friends camp, and also aspected by benefic is powerful
8. If a planet is aspected by many favorable Significators is also powerful
9. If a planet is in a particular sign, whose depositors are strong then you can select that planet.
10. Planet in conjunction with a strong Significators is most favorable
11. The relationship between Dasa lord and Bhukthi lord; is most important.
12. If Bhukthi lord is in any way connected to 6
th
,8
th
or 12
th
counted from Dasa lord or in negation to
the houses concerned, then that particular planet will not allow materialize, similarly Anthra lord to
Bhukthi lord, and Sookshma lord to Anthra lord.
13. A planet in Conjunction or any aspect with Dasa lord or Bhukthi lord and also the star lord of those
planets who is stronger or in more occurrences will define the day of the event. (Normally the day
of event will be the Bhukthinatha of the star lord)
14. Sun should transit in the sign of Dasanatha or Bhukthinatha and in the star of Dasanatha or
Bhukthinatha which will indicate of the period.
15. Now look into the transit of Dasa and Bhukthinatha and their transit in the house of favorable
Significators which will clearly indicate the period of an event.
16. Now most important is the transit of moon. Moon should transit in strong Significators which will
indicate the day of an event.
17. Now look into transit of Antharlord as well as Sooksma lord if they are also in favorable
Significators then the event will fructify.
18. It is also necessary to note the strength of planet in Navamsa chart or in relevant divisional chart
such as Drekana, Chathuramsa etc.
19. Sooksma lord should be the strongest and next Anthra lord
20. Cuspal linkages are most vital and their effects should be considered.

21. Zero rasis, Birth yogi, Avayogis is also important
22. The permanent and temporary friendship and internal relationship between Dasa, Bhukthi, anthers
and Sookshma is to be considered.
23. Importance may be given to the sub in case of slow moving planet and star in
Case of fast moving planet.
24. A Planet in a Shishodaya gives results in the early half , in a prishthodaya sign it gives in the second
part or half and in Ubhayodaya it gives through out .

Transits Tips

Transits are current aspects formed between the current position of the planets to the radical or progressed
positions of planets .and angles .A transit is the passage of planets over its natal or radical position or
progressed positions of the planets and cusps .The passage of the of planets opposite to the natal or
progressed positions is also regarded as transit .In order to differentiate it is said as conjunctions or
oppositions by transit .In accordance with the principle of western the transit by square ,Semi-square ,trine
,Sextile ,semi-Sextile and Bi-Quintile and other aspects may also be considered at least and Major aspects
Apart from the above the four angles , is also necessary ,of which the Mid-heaven (0 and ascendant is and
also luminaries are generally important ,and the reaming seven planets is of lesser value .it is also worth to
note transits over Fortuna and other sensitive and critical degrees are very important .The planet transiting
over the a radical or progressed positions is the transiting planet or body or exciter or promoter and it may
one of the nine planets .the Transit of J upiter ,Saturn ,Uranus ,Neptune, Pluto ,Rahu and Kethu lasts for
long period and their depends upon its constellations and Sub .the transit of Mars is less lasting than the
former but deceive and so important .Moon ,Mercury ,Venus and sun being quickly moving planets .,their
transits will be for few days and hours But the Transits of sun Ann moon are very important ,they only
indicate the month and day of the event .and their transits are very effective .especially when they pass
through the houses of the horoscope .

In considering tee orb of one or two degrees may be allowed .Transit includes full moon, new moon and
Eclipses. it is necessary to note transits of the Sun moon and then note conjunctions ,opposition ,Square
,Trine ,Sextile Etc., both at birth positions and progressed positions .of the date corresponding to the given
time .and arranged systematically increasing order to facilitate out transits .then the range of positions of all
planets during the given period It may be one day or over some periods .when the transits agree to the
significations of planets in the horoscope ,then only matter will masteries otherwise only tempts to give a
event .The detailed check list prepare by me may be referred for accurate results .

1. The Sun should transits in the sign of Dasanatha or Bhukthinatha and in the star of Dasanatha or
Bhukthinatha.
2. The above rule is applicable only when Dasanatha or Bhukthinatha is well placed and strong.
3. If No Planets are in the Star of Dasa or Bhukthi, then it is preferable to look into transit of Dasanatha or
Bhukthinatha in their sign and in their stars.
4. This rule gets modified by the planets with which they are in conjunction or aspected by other Planets.
Provided they are stronger than Dasanatha or Bhukthinatha.
5.If the Star in which Dasanatha or Bhukthinatha is well placed and stronger than Dasanatha or
Bhukthinatha Then, when Sun transits in the Star of Dasanatha or Bhukthinatha
6. If Anthra is properly selected ,then Look into the occupation of Anthranatha and Star in which it is
situated ,If they are Stronger than Dasa or Bhukthinatha ,then Sun Transiting the sign of Anthra and Star of
either Dasa or Bhukthi or anthrax whichever is Well placed and strong may be selected
7. Let any Planet. Transiting any sign ,or in any house .As per K.P. one should note the transits of the
Significators in the star and sub of a particular matter ,Well placed and strong will surely indicate the time
of event
8. Moon transiting the Dasa, Bhukthi and Anthra jointly indicate the time of an event.

9. Note whether any planet is a slow moving Planet, if so give importance to the sub .If it is fast moving
give Importance to Star, who is a strong Significators.
10 .Note the Karaka Planet, well placed and strong, then Look to the transit in his sign and preferably the
Star and sub.
11 .If Karaka Planet is aspecting any one of the periods, then select the transit of Sun in that planet Sign or
preferably Star and Sub.
12. Note the Sign, Star and Sub of the concerned houses in question ,then note which of these are signifies
strongly , well placed and receives aspects either from Karaka or any Strong Significators .The Sun or
Moon will transit in the Sign and mostly in the Star and Sub of this House .
13 .Note the most important Cusp of the matter in question ,then note whether Sign or Star or Sub is well
placed and strongly signifies the event .Consider essential and accidental dignities also .The Sun will
mostly Transit either in this Sign ,Star or Sub either individually or J ointly .
14 .Note the Dasa, Bhukthi, Anthra and Sookshma, Preference is to be given to Sookshma, who must be
strongest Significators .The Sun will transit in the Sign of any one of them and in the strongest star and Sub
during transit.
15 .The Sun and Mars give their results immediately after entering the sign .The Sun and Mars give their
results vigorously from 0 to 10 a sign .J upiter and Venus give their results exclusively in the middle part
of a sign .{11 to 20 in a sign .The Moon and Saturn will give their results in the later part of sign i.e. . from
21 to 30 .Mercury and Rahu will give their results throughout the sign .in transit .Some are of the opinion
that the Moon and Rahu s results in Transit and Moon And Mercury give results in the whole sign .Saturn
and Rahu give results their results at the end J upiter and Venus in the Middle .The Sun and Mars In the
beginning.

16 .TRANSITS OF PLANETS: The Moon sign is also called jamma Rasi. During transits it gives good
results at certain places and bad results at other places .The Good results are sometimes blocked due to
occupation of other planets at specific house from it .Such position are known as Veda positions for
transiting planets .The Good results are deferred till Veda positions are occupied by planets

As in Vedha, there is also no Vedha between the Sun and Saturn. No Veda between Mercury and Moon
A Planet gives malefic results in transits in certain houses from Moon Sign at Birth and if some Planets is

planet are obstructed by the later planet .this is tern\med as Vipareeta Vedha .

Note: The Dasa and Anthra Dasas of planets owing Kendra and konas are highly beneficial or auspicious.
those owing houses 2,3and 11give average result .those of the planets owing 6 ,8 and 12 are always difficult
or troublesome .these results are to be given only after examining the position and house occupied by the
lords of the Dasa and Anthra Dasa When the Anthra Dasa lord are in good aspects .
When the lord of the major period is a malefic and Anthra Dasa is a benefic the results will be bad ,if they
are not conjoined .If they are associated with one another ,there are mixed results .the Anthra Dasa lord
may be yoga karaka ,but if he is not conjoined with the lord of the Maha Dasa ,the results are unfavorable
.if the lord is both good and bad results ,he will give first give good results in his own Anthra Dasa and
later on bad results.

To select the week day preference may be given to Bhukthinatha star or any planet repeating or conjoined
with Dasa or Bhukthinatha or one who is strongest ,before this it is advisable to take panchaga and find out
any one of the star in which moon is transiting either in Dasa or Bhukthinatha ,both day and star agree .

Dasanatha & Bhukthinatha should have a good relation that is they must be interrelated.
Same for Bhukthi natha to Anthra & Anthra to Sookshma.
Dasa & Bhukthinatha is not advisable in 6,8,12 or in negative/negation of the matter questioned.
That means Dasa & Bhukthinatha should be strong to the houses concerned & along with Bhukthinatha &
Anthranatha.
DASA - It is necessary to note that matters are brought to perfection by conjunction, Sextile and trine etc.,
If by transits Dasanatha or Bhukthinatha are in Trines and favorably connected to the relevant house choose
that period for the fulfillment of an even .

A Rational Approach to Vismshottari Dasa

P. R. Muralidharan

The Vimshottari Dasa System is not only the most popular but also the most accurate. It is attributed to the
venerable sage parasara, the father of the great Vyasa who wrote Mahabharata.

The total of the different periods, or Dasas ruled by the nine planets employed in the Vimshottari
system is 120 years. The Dasa periods allotted to the several planets commencing with the Kethu (Kethu,
Venus, Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, J upiter, and Saturn & Mercury) are 7,20,6,10,7,18,16,19 and 17 years
respectively. The Dasas are divided into 9 Bhukthi or sub periods, the Bhukthis are Sub-divided into nine
antharas or Sub-periods. The antharas again are divided into Nine Sookshma period and Sookshma periods
into nine Prana periods. In every Dasa, the first Bhukthi is governed by the lord of the Dasa, followed by
the other planets in the cyclic order observed in the 120-year period.

For, instance in Moons dasa, Moon bhukthi falls first, Mars bhukthi comes second, Rahu next, and the
bhukthi of J upiter, Saturn, Mercury, Kethu, Venus and lastly Sun in that order. The Moon bhukthi is
succeeded by the bhukthi of the Mars followed by the other bhukthi. The same order obtains in the division
of bhukthi into antharas so, In Moon dasa and J upiters bhukthi, J upiter rules the first anthara, Saturn, the
second, mercury the third anthara and Kethu, Venus, Sun, Moon, Mars and Rahu in that order. The same
principle is extended to the division of the antharas into sookshma, and the soolshamas into pranas. The
important point to note, however, is that the duration of every planet in a Bhukthi, Anthara etc., is not
unform i.e. a bhukthi duration in a certain dasa is proporationate to the number of years alloted to it in the
entire 120 year period thus, the Suns bhukthi portion in any Dasa is 6/120 of the dasa, Moon bhukthi
portion 10/120 of the dasa and so on, In like manner, the Antharas duration of any planer in a bhukthi
including his own is obtained by multiplying the total periods of the bhukthi by the proportion held by that
planet in the 120 year cycle. The same principle is followed in calculating the sookshama and prana
periods ruled by every planet.

To determine and delinate the indication which have to come to pass in his Dasa, Bhukthi, Antharas
and Sookshma periods, following are the guide lines available in the traditional system.

Generally speaking, a planets effect are read on the basis of the house(s) owned by him, his nature, his sign
situation, his placement by house, his association with other lords, and the sign to sign aspects he receives
from others. These effects are read to be unfolded in his dasa period and his bhukthis anthara and so on.
The lord of the bhukthi and the antharas is considered in the same way, as the dasa lord, but in addition
bhukthi lords relation with the dasa lord and the antharas lords relation with bhukthi lord is taken into
account. There are five kinds S AN M B H AN N D A between two planets according to traditional
system, namely:

1. Association or configuration in the same sign.
2. Aspect, which is counted from the sign held by planet to the sign held by another.
3. Interchange of each others house.
4. Kendra position to one another, and
5. Kona positions to another.

Although the dasa, bhukthi lords and the anthara lords may have natural enmity between them the good
aspect of the bhukthi lord to the dasa lord or that of the anthara lord to the lord of the bhukthi for that matter
is deemed to be auspicious. Conversely the evil aspect formed is said to hinder the matters signified by the
aspected planet. Here it must be remembered that the aspects according to the Hindu system are not based
on quality as in the western system. According to the ancient Hindu system if a planet indicates good
houses by ownership his aspect or Drishti is deemed to be good, if he owns evil house (s), his aspect is
unfavorable, for the matters denoted by the aspected planet, through the source of the aspecting planet,
according to his nature and lordship. Usually, lords of houses 6,8 & 12 recknowed from the lagna are evil,
in another context, we are told that lords of 6,8 & 12 counted from the house,(s) owned by the dasa lord are
harmful, and similarly from the bhukthi lord. We are also further taught that a planer posited in a house
ruled, becomes a malefic for matters denoted by the house ruled.
The system of house division as advocated in Krishnamurti Paddhdthi readers are to be adopted in
preference to other systems. It is noticed that, the planer A in the period dasa or bhukthi antharas is found
to move the matters of certain houses with which the planer has no connection by virtue of his ownership,
occupation, association or aspect, what, then is the cause for its peculier influence? The answer, is
provided by the house occupied and the house(s) owned by the lord of the constellation tenanted by the
planet A. This means that the tenanting planet moves the matters governed by the houses denoted by the
constellation lord according to occupation & ownership the tenant himself acting as the source through
which the matters are moved. The source depends on that the tenanting planet rules by lordship of houses
and by nature.

The extent of planet power will partially depend on the sign occupied by him. The congeniality or
otherwise of that sign apart from his own nature. The tenanting planer himself shows the source according
to lordship and nature. The planets principle is not expressed uniformly through all the signs except the
Sun and the Moon. All others have two signs under their control. One this allows the planets positive
principle to be expressed and the other negative side. In its exaltation sign. The planets action is enhanced
in a special way. In debilitation the planets is weak to perform its function without frustration. When
opposite to the sign ruled, the planetis retarded from expressing himself freely and easily.

The respective strength of the planet signifying the house are as follows:
1. The planet (s) in the constellation of the occupants.
2. Occupants.
3. The planet (s) in the constellation, of the lord of sign.
4. The lord of the sign.

And lastly the planet conjoined with the strangest significators or aspecting him and the house, become in
the descending order of power, the significator of a house.

The consequent is list own or
The occupant is stronger than the owner of the sign:
1. Only when the lord of the sign does not gain more strength by
Occupying its exalted sign. or being Vargothama.
2. When the lord of the sign is not conjoined with the planet or is
Occupying its other sign, and
3. When the occupant is exalted, whether the owner is in its own
or Exaltation or Vargothama.
JASA Vol. 1(6) May-Jun 2012
96

The occupant is weaker than the owner
1. 1. If the occupant is in its enemies camp or in debilitation.
2. If the lord of the sign is Exalted and the occupant is not.
3. If the lord of the sign is conjoining with the planet own sign and the
Occupant is not exalted there i.e. the owner is in own house whose as the occupant is neither Exalted nor
Vargothama there.

It will be observed that the affairs affected by a planet are more prominently those governed by the house
occupied and the house (s) owned by the lord of the constellation tenanted by the former. A planet X in a
constellation denotes the matter signified by the lord of the constellation, the house occupied and the house
owned by the latter. If the lord of the sub occupied by X is favorably connected to the matters affected by
the lord of the constellation. This happens especially in the conjoined period of the tenant the constellation
and the sub lord. If the tenanting planer is placed in the sub of a planet who occupies or own houses
detrimental to the affairs ruled by the constellation lord, the matter remains unfulfilled. The sub-lord in his
period in the conjoined period of the tenant and the constellation lord proves a stumbling block for the
fulfillment. If the sub lord is neither favorably connected to the affairs of the houses occupied nor owned by
the constellation lord, he assumes a some what neutral stand while he is not opposed to the fulfillment of
the matters in the final analysis, he will in his own period in the conjoined period of the tenanting planer
and constellation lord not advance the matter in question. The sub-lord thus plays a pivotal role in
deciding, whether the matter denoted by the constellation lord prosper or prove harmful.

The sub-lord signifying a house which is the twelfth to the house denoted by the constellation lord proves
harmful. Also the sub-lord should not be in unfavorable aspect to the cusp of the house signified by the
constellation lord according to western system of aspects.

It is necessary to look into the relationship between the Dasa lord and the Bhukthi lord. The Bhukthi lord
and the Antara lord and again between the Dasa lord and the Antara lord.
The transits of the planets co-ruling the Dasa, Bhukthi and Antara period as well as those of other will mark
the time of culmination of an event.

The transit should be read in conformity with the radix not divorced from it. An evil aspect to the natal
positions of a planet, who by such position denoted, a certain evil result is no doubt beneficial such as a
thief is a source of security to the people in a locality and if he is in barrier than when he is not. Similarly a
good aspect to such position would only accuntuate, the harmful influence denoted at birth. Yet the later
influence is much more in conformity with the natal indications than the former. The transit result, good or
bad which accords with the natal indications will be more prominent. The transit effect which is contrary to
the natal position will be felt, but only feebly in assessing the potency of transits it is necessary to be
cautions. Transits over places of radical planets or cusps are far more of effective than aspects to them.
Next come to the major aspect the Square, Sextile, Trine, Quincunx and Opposition. The minor aspects of
slow moving bodies, such as J upiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune too would have force. Irrespective of
whether a planet is in any aspect or not, he will by transit activate the affairs coming under the domination
of the houses transited through his source and lordship of houses.

HINTS FOR OFFERING PREDICTIONS
1) When a planet is lord of benefic houses (1,2,3,4,5,7,9,10) and Exalted, in own rasi, or in a
Kendra, is posited in good position, House, Navamsa etc., retrograde but aspected by benefic
planets or conjoined with , aspect Own house, Yogakaraka has Digbala strength is called
powerful or beneficial planet and denotes good results.
2) Lord of Trikona houses i.e., 5
th
and 9
th
always confer good results.
3) When lord of benefic house is posited in 3,6,8,11,12 houses debilitated, in enemics sign, in
malefic sign from his own sign, conjoined or aspected by Malefics and also in Navamsa etc.,
becomes malefic planet and give evil results
JASA Vol. 1(6) May-Jun 2012
97

4) When Dasa lord is malefic and bhukthi Lord is Neutral and bhukthi lord is enemy of dasa lord, it
will act as a malefic planet.
5) When Bhukthi lord is posited in 6
th
, 8th or 12
th
houses from dasa lords position in horoscope and
both are enemies the result will be evil.
6) Dasa lord it is posited in 6
th
, 8th or 12
th
houses from its own sign, it is always malefic.
7) When Dasa lord and anthara dasa lord are different planets and are enemy of Lagna Lord, the
results will be evil. The native will suffer the loss of health and wealth. When friends reverse
results will be felt.
8) It should be borne in mind that a planet may be lord of benefic house and be benefic, but if the
planet in weal in any way or in debilitated sign, it will not confer good results.
9) Planets posited in Bhavasandhi will not give good result and is powerless.
10) When lord of a sign is posited in such a sign, the lord of which is exhalted and is benificially
aspected will give good resultes.
11) Lords of benefic signs when posited in benefic signs (1, 2, 4,5,7,9 and
from their own signs are benefic. But when lords of malefic houses are posited in malefic signs
(3, 6, 8, 11, and 12) from their own signs give benefic results.
Note: -
(I) A natural benefic, if he owns good houses such as, Trines becomes fully benefic.
(II) A natural benefic, if it owns malefic houses acts as a benefic as well as malefic way.
(III) A malefic lord of evil houses would be fully malefic.
(IV) A malefic lord of good houses will not be so malefic and would not greatly damage the house
tenanted.
Any planet occupying the Kendras are proving to do well out of the Kendra houses 10
th
is most
powerful.
Upachayas are also good. Malefics occupying those places give better results than the benefics,
Ownership of those houses is not good, though occupation is good.
Budd a rasis and nashasthanas are always very bad. The lord of the 8
th
gives very bad results. So
also the lords of the 6
th
and 12
th
houses. The lord of the 2
nd
houses generally gives good results.
Panaparas and Apoklimas are not as good as the Quadrants and the results are given according to
the planets strength.
The ownership of 3
rd
, 6
th
, 8
th
or 12
th
house by any planets will be bad, but the light will not give bad
results though they own the 8
th
house.
If the lord of the lagna, has the ownership of a bad house also at the same time, he will give only
good results. Thus for those born in any lagna will give good results though he owns the 6
th
house.
A malefic joining a benefic will be proves to do good things in his period. While a benefic joining a
malefic will be inclined to do bad things in his period.
(i) Lord of I
st
always auspicious.
(ii) Lord of Trines is auspicious. The 9
th
lord is more auspicious than the lord of 8
th
, so also 6
th
is
more inauspecious than 3
rd
.
(iii) Lords of 3,6, and 11 are inauspicious, 11
th
more inauspicious than the lord of 8
th
, so also 6
th

is more inauspecious than 3
rd
.
(iv) The lords of angles of natural benefics are auspicious, but if they become the lord of 3,6, or
11
th
also they became inauspecious.
(v) The lords of the 8
th
is the most inauspicious but there are two exceptions.

Review of Mr. K.Baskarans new Book Secrets of Bhava Cuspal Sub lords interlinks ( released at

Lord Link
Part 1
New book released on 29.1.2012

This is yet another important and interesting Book
released from the stable of Prasanna J othidamani Sri
Thilak K.Baskaran of Madurai, founder of Baskara
Astrology. His dedicated attempt to fine tune the
Stellar Astrology and account for individual
differences and also scientifically explain as to why
things happen in a particular way in ones life are all
marvelous The nature of Planets and their
significations are used as per their linkage with
cusps. In this he has gone a step forward to KP
Paddhathi in utilizing the Sub lord further to its star
lord and its Sub Lord. (Bhava and Cuspal Sub Lord
Link theory). Sri K.Baskarans Guru Sri A.R.Balan
found in him (Baskaran) his extraordinary
intelligence, thinking power, research tendency,
explaining things in simple and intelligent way, etc.
told him, Look Mr.Baskaran, Late Sri K.S.Ks Sub
Lord Theory has not ended. It needs still lot of modifications and improvement, which Sri K.S.K would
have done had he been alive. Now you show symptom of zeal, intelligene and knowledge. I bless you to

carry on his unfinished task and bring the astrology widely known to one and all. This was his Gurus
blessings. Unfortunately Sri A.R.Balan expired few months before, obituary of which appeared in J ASA
journal too. This great personal loss is irrepairable to Mr.K.Basakaran.

Sri Baskaran has great respect, regard and admiration to late Sri K.S.K for his scientific way of approach
to mathematical calculations and his research in Sub Lord theory.
Before he met Sri A.R.Balan, Sri K.Baskaran started learning astrology in general by reading various
Books, by discussing with various astrologers.

He has abundant intuition in him. For each event, which he comes across, he used to think deeply, and
ponder over it, as to why this event happened, what for it has happened, how it has happened, what made it
to happen, what are the planetary influences that made it to happen, like this he used to question himself
and try to find the solution. He used to discuss the same with is Guru Sri A.R.Balan. Seeing his
enthusiasm, his Guru used to guide him at each and every stage of his research and encourage him.

In this Book, Sri K.Baskaran has explained so many instances which he came across in his more than 25
years learning either through some other knowledgeable astrologers or friends and observing the open talks
of men at public crowded places such as Bus stand etc. that had come to his ears. Many are quite interesting
to read and how he has arrived at the solution. His Horary analysis is amazing when reading this Book. I
shall try to translate
few interesting cases in this J ASA journal for the benefit of members in due course.
Other important chapters in this Book are :

(1) As a flash back memory of his past experience in the first 25 years of astrology in his early years, he
has narrated in detail under the chapter of Kala Suvadugal meaning how with the passing of time,
he step by step march forwarded in attaining his desired goal in astrology.

(2) Mile stones (meaning with passing of time what were is experience) in 4 parts narrating his past
experience in predictions. They are quite interesting and surprising as to how he arrived at the
results which were perplexing. It may be stated here that at many times, mother Nature helped him
to arrive at the correct prediction in amazing way. These are described in 4 parts of this chapter. In
one part of the Mile Stone the author is in conversation with 85 years old traditional astrologer,
who wonders young Baskarans knowledge of astrology and he also wonders how the astrology
has developed leaps & bounds, when he heard about KP system details from Baskaran,

(3) How Lagna functions according to Kalachakra.

(4) Lagna Inner effects and outer effects for all the 12 Bhavas are explained in fine way.

(5) Under the head Lagna and Bhava links, he has narrated how the Bhava Cuspal sub lord functions
and his theorem for 8 effects (favourable an unfavourable Bhavas combinations and how it will
function in each case is explained in excellent manner. He has explained that each Bhava has 12
Bhava karakas wihin the Bhava and how to use them. In that also he has divided three parts (i)
Lagna related; (ii) Lagna unrelated (iii) Lagna that has connection to 2 persons. (This is unique in
Baskara astrology which may not be found in other system.)

(6) His theorems on 8 effects on Bhavas are singular and most useful for the astrologers. They are :

(a) Benefic effects or Subha effects: Suppose Lagna Sub lords star lord or sub lord is placed in
1,5,9 Bhavas to questioned Bhava, it will function without any hitch or hindrance
immediately and it will give the desired results.
JASA Vol. 1(6) May-Jun 2012
103

(b) Vriddhi effects. Suppose Lagna Sub lords star lord or sub lord is placed 2
nd
to Lagna, all 1
st

Bhava matters such as self thinking, imagination, health improvement will improve day by
day. Vriddhi means improvement. (Prolific)
(c) Pravriddhi effects : Suppose Lagna Bhava sub lord or its star lord is in 3 or 11 to Lagna it
will give more than 1 results. 1
st
Bhava matters such as self thinking, imagination, etc. if
placed 3 or 11 it will give more than 1 results or double improvement.
(d) Disconnecting effects in midway : Suppose Lagna Bhava S/L or its star lord is placed in 4
or 10 to Lagna Bhava, the questioned Bhava, will not give full results as such we call it as
disconnecting in midway. The effect will not take full shape.
(e) Effects that take place with the help of others : Suppose Lagna Bhava S/L or its star lord is
placed in 6
th
to Lagna, Lagna Bhava matters of self thinking, imagination etc, though one
will have them Adequately, yet it will give the effects only with the help or others.
(f) Equal effects : Suppose Lagna Bhava S/L or its star is placed in to Lagna, it will have equal
effects. i.e. 1
st
Bhava matters will take place after competition or in the midst of jealousy of
others.
(g) Opposite effect : Suppose Lagna Bhava S/L or its star lord is placed in 8
th
to Lagna, it will
give opposite effect. i.e. opposite to our desire. Education is 1
st
Bhava matter. If it is placed
in 8
th
, education will not progress or it will hinder the progreww. i.e. opp. to our desire.
(h) Side effects : Suppose if Lagna Bhava S/L or its star lord is placed in 12
th
to Lagna. This
effect prevents or blocks the function of the questioned Bhava which is in progress. It will be
cut off. This means that the 1
st
Bhava matters will get disrupted while it is on.

(7) How to use Bhavakarakas according to the question, He has given compilation of Bhavakarakas.
(8) How Lagna Bhava function according to Kalachakra system.
(9) Finally Cuspal Interlinks for all the 12 Bhavas narrating Sambhavs and deciders with various
combinations. This is very helpful for dealing cuspal interlink theory method of Bhavas.

In short this Book has its own individuality in several matters and is very valuable. It is only when one
reads with interest, he can enjoy the authors simple explanation for the complicated matters. Though it is
in Tamil language at present, the author may bring up English Edition shortly, for the benefit of non-Tamil
readers.

It is quite unfortunate that circumstances and environment made Sri Baskaran to get his
Education only upto school level and studied in Tamil. If he is fluent in English language, he would have
made his proficiency known all over India and even abroad by writing his books in English. We all wish
him for his good longevity, fine health, energy, zeal and good spirit to do more and more researches,
parting his experience to thirsty astrologers. Being soft spoken, amiable nature, and clearing doubts of any
body approaching him, are all his qualities. Wishing him GOOD LUCK.

Review of Book by Dr. NVRA Raja, J unior Meena 2 titled Meena2 Naadi System Stellar Effects
Nakshatra Prashna

This is one of the finest books on Prashna Astrology currently in vogue. This is a book on instant prediction
by taking into account the longitudinal distance covered by Moons constellation in a day from sunrise and
judging the outcome of the query. Most easy to follow and accurate in result!!
The readers will find very rich discussion by the authorDr. NVRA Raja, the illustrious
son of Meena2, late NV Raghavacharyabout the meaning and interpretation of the secret knowledge of
stars. The 84 page book is a storehouse of untold occult knowledge about Prashna method of divination to
any type of queries. The author deserves immense compliments for the depth and detail that he provided in
his book which can help anyone desirous of knowing the answer to any query to get an answer.
Dr. Raja provided many solved, real-life case from his own experience in this book which
is an added bonus for the readers. Special mention must be made to the flow chart approach taken by the
author which is not only very illustrative of clear exposition and understanding, but also is a very novel
method in the field of astrology to explain the difficult linkages. The predictive value therefore, increases a
lot of predictive capability in the reader.
For those readers who are not aware much about the wonderful Meena2 Naadi System let
me state that the concept of Digbala is a pivotal edifice in this method. The same has been used intelligently

in this book by Dr. Raja. Also concepts such as debilitated planets attaining digbala and seemingly apparent
results taking an opposite turn have been illustrated in this book with many examples.
The author advises the readers to sequentially go through the chapters of this book instead
of hopping and jumping. This suggestion really helps because by following this suggestion any reader will
quickly master the application technique of Nakshatra Prashna. The author has also provided a ready
reckoner table at the end of the book for calculatingthe balance of duration of a Nakshatra at the time of
sunrise in minutes. This is a very welcome contribution in the book especially for the fact that many readers
may not have the luxury of a personal computer and astrological software.
This is a book for all readers who wants quick, immediate and accurate prediction about
their questions without the trouble of elaborate calculations.
