MECHANICAL JOINT FITTINGS

La Junta mecnica permite el cierre y la estanqueidad de la tubera de fundicin ductil, por la

comprensin de la goma a travs de una contrabrida contra el enchufe del accesorio y el extremo
liso del tubo.
La junta mecnica es un sistema de unin muy
verstil ya que permite la estanqueidad a altas presiones, admite dilataciones y pequeas desviaciones de la tubera, permite la reutilizacin del
material de una manera sencilla.
La colocacin manual de la contrabrida y de la
goma hacen que el montaje sea ms sencillo ya
que no es necesario, aunque si recomendable, el
viselado del tubo recin cortado.
El enchufe largo suministrado por FER
TOR
DUCTIL tiene suficiente alojamiento para colocar
un tubo con el extremo irregular.
Para el montaje slo es necesario limpiar bien el
enchufe y el extremo liso, alojar en el extremo liso
la contrabrida y la goma, colocar la punta del
extremo liso dentro del enchufe y deslizar la goma
y la contrabrida, empezar a apretar los tornillos, al
principio con la mano y posteriormente con una
llave, preferiblemente con una llave dinamomtrica. El apriete debe de ser progresivo y enfrentando los aprietes de los tornillos. Una vez realizada la prueba hidrulica comprobar el apriete.

pipes through the pressure on the gasket by the
gland against fitting socket and pipe spigot.
Mechanical Joint is a very versatile union system
as it allows the sealing at high pressures, admit
dilatations and small deviations of the pipes, it also
allows to be re-used in an easy way .
Mechanical joint is easy to assemble as it is not
necessary (but recommended) to prepare the
spigot of the pipe because of gasket and gland are
assembled manually.
It is neither necessary a perfect perpendicular cutting on the pipe as Fertor Ductil socket is long
enough to allow the accommodation of an irregular
pipe on it.
To assembling, it is only necessary an adequate
cleaning of the socket and the pipe spigot, to introduce the gland and the gasket in the pipe spigot,
then to put the pipe on the fitting socket and to
place gasket and gland in their position. After it,
screw bolts, first manually and then with a dynamometric wrench preferably. The screwing must be
progressive and facing to face bolts. Once the
hydraulic test is done, the screwing must be
revised.

CARACTERISTICAS TECNICAS
MATERIALES
CUERPO, CONTRABRIDAS Y TORNILLERIA
El material de las piezas, en su totalidad, es la FUNDICION DUCTIL (EN-JGS-500-7), cumpliendo las prescripciones tcnicas de la Norma EN 545, apartado 4 y las especificaciones de la norma EN 1563

ANILLOS DE JUNTAS FLEXIBLES

El material de las juntas flexibles es E.P.D.M. cumpliendo las prescripciones tcnicas de la Norma EN 545, apartado 5.2. y con los requisitos de la Norma EN 681-1 para abastecimiento de agua potable y saneamiento.
Bajo pedido se pueden suministrar las juntas en otro tipo de material (NBR, V iton, etc)

RECUBRIMIENTO
El recubrimiento Epoxi de nuestras piezas tanto interno como externo es a base de polvo de epoxi atxico, de
color azul RAL 5005, aplicado en caliente sobre la pieza debidamente granallada (acabado mnimo Sa 2 segn
EN ISO8501-1) y completamente limpia de aceites, grasas humedades u otras materias extraas, y con posterior secado de las piezas en horno. Los recubrimientos se realizan segn la Norma EN 545, apartado 4.5 y
segn la norma EN 14.901
Bajo pedido se puede realizar en Morado (RAL 4001) para agua regenerada y Granate (RAL 3009) para saneamiento.

DESVIACIN ANGULAR Y PAR DE APRIETE

Las mximas desviaciones angulares admisibles cumplen con lo dispuesto en la Norma EN 545 apartado 5.2
y son:

El par de apriete de nuestros bulones M20 es de aproximadamente 1 1 kg.m

ESPECIFICACIONES
Los accesorios de junta mecnica estn diseados segn las especificaciones dimensionales de la norma EN
545. El espesor de pared para todos los accesorios es el indicado por dicha norma. Las longitudes tiles se
ajustan a la serie A o a la serie B de la norma.
El enchufe est diseado y probado para presiones de trabajo de 10, 16 y 25 bares.

CONTROL DE CALIDAD
Contamos con el certificado de aseguramiento de calidad ISO 9001, para la fabricacin de Accesorios
de Fundicin dctil segn Normas EN 545.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
MATERIALS
BODY, GLANDS AND BOLTS
Fittings composition is totally in ductile cast iron (EN-JGS-500-7) according to specifications of EN 545 Standard,
item 4 and EN1563 Standard.

FLEXIBLE JOINT RINGS

Flexible joint rings composition is EPDM according to technical specifications of EN 545 standard, item 5.2 and
EN 681-1 standard for drinking water and sewerage.
Other material composition can be available if required (NBR, V iton).

COATINGS
The internal and external coating is blue powder non toxic epoxy coating RAL 5005, applied under hot conditions to the fittings with a surface level of Sa 2 (EN ISO8501-1) clean and free of oil, grease and moisture,
then dried in furnace. Coating is according to EN545 Standard, item 4.5 and EN14.901 Standard.
If required purple color (RAL 4001) for treated water or maroon color (RAL 3009) for sewerage are available.

SPECIFICATIONS
Mechanical Joint fittings are designed according to dimensional requirements of EN 545 standard. W all thickness for all fittings is also according to this standard. Fittings length is in accordance to type A or type B of this
standard.
Socket of fittings is designed and tested for working pressures of 10, 16 and 25 bars.

QUALITY CONTROL
The quality assurance certificate ISO9001 for manufacture Ductile iron fittings under EN 545 standard applies
to our ductile iron fittings as per EN 545 standard.
