AUTHOR: Ronny Schuricht Last Update: 06/22/11 VERSION: 2.0 TITLE: weighted drum lifter replaced SUBJECT: The weighted drum lifter 4812 418 48605 is out of production and will not be available anymore.

REMEDIAL ACTION
When ordering the weighted drum lifter, you will get automatically the usuall lifter without integrated weight 4819 418 49713. With the new drum lifter the drum has got a certain unbalance also when it is empty. Due to this fact it can happen that during the test program the spin is not performed (unbalance detection). For machines with Domino control board its possible to use an alternative start procedure for the test program (no unbalance detection) to test the spinning anyway:

AUTHOR: Ronny Schuricht Last Update: 01/21/10 VERSION: 1.0 TITLE: "F08"at end of cycle and "clean lter"indication SUBJECT: A new software for the controlboards mentioned below has been released. The new software includes a modication of F08 identication and an improvement of the pump cycle in order to avoid "long drain"and "clean lter"indications, caused by ecoball sticking.

REMEDIAL ACTION
"F 08": If that failure indication appears at the end of a wash cycle and all parts like heating element and wiring are ok, then replace the original control board by the new one and program the board by SAM. "clean lter": If this indication appears, but the pump lter and the drain hoses are empty, not kinked and well mounted and it is sure, that the indication is related to ecoball sticking in the drain hose (tub-pump) even it is already replaced by the new version (SB 481271240326), then replace the original control board by the new one and program the board by SAM. Only the mentioned basic control boards are available with the new software! Please use the new control boards as spare part only in case of the above described behaviours. For any other reason, please use the control boards according to Service Info. The control boards will be substituted by the new versions step by step in respect of the production capacity of the supplier. Its planned to introduce the new control boards in production completely until week39 2009.

AUTHOR: Ronny Schuricht Last Update: 05/16/11 VERSION: 1.0 TITLE: F23 appears, but pressure switch is ok. SUBJECT: The customer claims the failure indication F23.

REMEDIAL ACTION
Pressure switch Failure This failure code can be also generated by a defect heater or a defect drain pump or bad harness connections to heater or drain pump. To exclude the drain pump and the heater as root cause, please check: 1. Check if the drain pump is running and check for foreign objects in the lter (see F03) 2. Inverse the mains plug polarity (by turning the mains plug or by changing polarity of single connectors of the power cord on the RFI Filter => ATTENTION: unplug appliance from mains before touching the single connectors!!!) If with inversed polarity failure code remains F23, continue with checks for Pressure switch. If with inversed polarity failure code changes to F12, check for Heater failure F12. Pressure switch failure: If the CCU can not properly read the OPEN or CLOSED status of the pressure switch contacts or if the CCU detects during the wash cycle that the pressure switch contact for the wash level L1 (11-14) and the pressure switch contact for level "empty drum L0"(11-12) are CLOSED or OPEN simultanously for 10 sec., this failure will be displayed. Potential Causes Check the wiring connections between the pressure switch and the CCU (2 connectors on pressure switch and 2 connectors on CCU) Check for proper operation of the pressure switch contacts (without water: 11-14 open, 11-12 closed, with water: 11-14 closed, 11-12 open). Check the electrical resistance of the pressure switch for open and closed contacts without and with water. Start the Service program. If the problem persists the Error Code F23 will be displayed. If no issue found, check other points from hydraulic system like blocked air trap or blocked pressure switch hose (see failure F01 and F03)

If these actions do not solve the issue and all parts like pressure switch and heating element are working correctly, then exchange the control board by the new version indicated in the table below.

Related machines are of production week 10 and 11 2009.

REMEDIAL ACTION
If such a failure occurs on machines of mentioned production period, the rotary program selector has got a mechanical defect. The related control units are supplied by Bitron with production week 09 and 10 2009. They have to be exchanged according to the spare part list in the related Service Info. How to identify the related control units:

AUTHOR: Ronny Schurricht Last Update: 03/27/09 VERSION: 1.0 TITLE: Avoiding F13 in the eld. SUBJECT: In the eld we have a few cases of F13 caused by leakage due to water owing into the electrical contacts of door lock during nal spin.

REMEDIAL ACTION
In order to avoid water leakage in production (week 10/2009) an insulation tape was implemented, stacked on the upper part of door lock. (see the picture) The application of insulation tape by serviceman is always necessary, when water leaks between lid of machine and front panel. Insulation tape: dimensions: 9 x 2 x max. 20 mm, material: Polyethylene foam. The usage of insulation tape is a temporary solution. In order to solve this problem in the future the door lock will be modied in the critical area and a new service bulletin will be issued.

AUTHOR: Ronny Schuricht Last Update: 10/14/10 VERSION: 3.0 TITLE: Drum with improved pulley xation and drum opening. SUBJECT: There were made some modications on Alliance drums in production (7.4.2009): 1. Change of hole for pulley screw in the hub from M6 to M8 to improve connection drum pulley. (LR+HR) 2. New hinge of drum door with thickness 1,8 mm (before 1,5 mm) and rivets with diameter 4 mm (before 3 mm). (HR with 210 mm door). 3. New shape of drum door for new hinge of drum. (HR with 210 mm door) Also the heating element holder (HR), is replaced by a new one with lower shape. (pls nd Service Bulletin 481271240318) Update 19.07.2010 4. Change of hole in the hub (opposite side of pulley) from M6 to M8. Machines from serial number 341029..... onwards are equipped with the new screw M8x18 and accordingly modied drum. The washer is cancelled. Update 08.10.2010 5. Substitution of LR drum 4801 111 02217 by LR drum 4801 111 02218 equipped with drum opening of the HR drum, that is more stable.

REMEDIAL ACTION
We introduced new spare parts: drum kits with pulley screw M8x23. In the case of HR also with heating element holder + screw. The drum with new hinge (1,8 mm) has got a bigger diameter. In order to avoid contact of the drum with the old heating element holder its necessary to exchange it by the new one when the drum is replaced. In LR machines it is not necessary because of enough space between drum and heating element holder. Update 19.07.2010 As spare parts the drum kits mentioned in the table below are equipped with the tting screws. Service codes remain the same like before. Update 08.10.2010 If the drum of a 5kg LR machine needs to be exchanged the LR drum with 210mm drum opening will be send as spare part. Repair is exactly the same. The drum will t without any problems.

AUTHOR: Ronny Schurricht Last Update: 07/01/09 VERSION: 1.0 TITLE: Bearing kit does not t.

REMEDIAL ACTION
We have some claims about spare part bearing kits, that doesnt t in the tub. Reason is a material change in production that causes slightly different measures. In Alliance LR machines the new bearing kit is used since week 49/2007. In case of exchanging the bearing kits, its important to take care about the correct bearing kit according to Service Info.
