Outcome 1: Cellular Respiration uses Sugar and Oxygen to produce ATP. What are the three processes (reactions) that make up cellular respiration? What are the reactants and product of each of these three reactions? How much ATP is produced in each? What are the stages of the Krebs Cycle? Outcome 2: The Cell Cycle is a pattern of growth and development in cells. What are the 4 phases of the Cell cycle? Why is cell size limited? What are the 5 phases of mitosis? Be able to diagram the chromosomes for each stage of Mitosis. Outcome 3: Chromosomes and Meiosis. Meiosis is a process, similar to Mitosis that makes gametes (sex cells) by dividing diploid cells into Haploid cells. What is Haploid, What is Diploid? What is the difference between germ cells (gametes) and somatic cells? What are the 8 stages of Meiosis? Be able to diagram the chromosomes for each stage of Meiosis. Dear students the end of the semester is crashing in on us. To be sure you are all adequately prepared for the final there will only be one more unit test. It will be on: ATP/ Cell Energy/ Photosynthesis (wk 14), Cell Respiration (wk 15), The Cell cycle/ Mitosis (wk 15/16) and Chromosomes/Meiosis (wk 16). This test will be 125 points.
