Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI) was founded in 1977 with the goals of providing high-
performance conveyor components and competitive pricing, both combined with
unparalleled customer service.
These goals are quite evident in the growth of PPIs product line. Starting with
CEMA drum and wing pulleys in 1977, PPI has grown to include a full range of
pulleys, idlers, take-up frames and bearings. PPIs maintenance free idler design
proves that the customer does not have to sacrifice life for a low maintenance
product, as it more than doubles the life of the product!
PPI has developed products such as:
Smart Products, that move the motion sensor inside the roll to protect it,
Retro Rolls, which adapt our rolls to virtually any frame,
EZ-Mount pulleys, which make impossible pulley mounts, possible
PHYD, Hydraulic Take-Up frames to handle the heaviest loads
E-Wing, which are used in large diameter wing pulleys.
BeltSaver Return Roll Brackets that give more room for belt wander.
Variable Mount CIT frames
And have led to new innovative products such as:
P10 Pulley Life Calculation for proper sizing of CEMA & Mine Duty Pulleys.

All supported by the most comprehensive
engineering staff in the industry. Starting
with the Design group that works with manufacturing to develop and use the latest
tools available. When these tools are not available, PPI develops the tools, i.e.
PFEA and IP life programs have aided not only the Design group, but also the
Application group. These two groups work together to find the best solution for the
customer. The Field Engineers bring our knowledge to the field, and provide
service before, during, and after the sale. This gives PPI over a hundred years of
engineering experience in the conveyor industry.
