Safety Instructions
The device is designed with high reliability if operated properly, but the incidental operation has to be avoided. Please read this manual thoroughly and keep it in safe
place for future reference. Do not place the unit in the watery or damp place. Do not place anything on the power supply cable and
keep the cable in the safety place. In order to avoid fire, do not tie up or wrap the cables. Please connect the power connector and any other
connectors according to the instruction and check regularly. Please connect the power supply according to the
instruction: -V means connecting the negative pole, +V means connecting to the positive pole. The specification of power supply has to be met: 1DC-48V voltage range:-36V-72V 2AC220Vvoltage range: 220V1050Hz

Section 1 Introduction
Thank you for choosing BXT-E10 II framed/non-framed Ethernet to E1 protocol converter from Beijing Symfun Telecom Ltd. BXT10 Ethernet to E1 protocol converter is the high performance Ethernet bridge and an interface device with bi-directional conversion between Ethernet and G.703, which is the upgrade version of BXT-E10 featuring enhanced network M&C and can operate with BXT-E10. It has modular design with chassis, easy to use and is an alternative for saving the investment on routers. Therefore, it is an ideal solution for lower investment application and used for LAN extension.

represents Framed. The default is OFF. Bit 3 is for selecting the signaling mode. The ON position is for CAS and the OFF position is for CCS. The default is OFF. Bit 4 is for selecting the clock source of E1 interface. The ON position is for master clock and the OFF position is for slave
Bits 5, 6, 7 and 8 are reserved for future use. The defaults are OFF. 2. The four TS selection DIPs, TS0-7, TS8-15, TS16-23 and TS24-31 are used for selecting the operational time slots. The DIP bits fromTS0 to TS31 are for selecting the operational time slots from 1 to 31 respectively. The ON position means the corresponding time slot is operational. The OFF position means the corresponding time slot is not working. The default is ON except for TS0. Notes: 1The OFF of BIT1 on the MODE switch invalidates all the configurations on the DIP switches. So all the configurations and time slots are controlled by NMS. 2The OFF for TS0 is mandatory. 3If BIT2 on the MODE DIP is ON, Non-Framed, the TS selection DIP is invalid. You can also find the description about the MODE DIP and TS selection DIP configuration on the bottom panel of the converter.
3. Ethernet operation mode selection DIP switch, S1, is located on the V10BASET data board.
