the nature of the contact. During the conversation, MARTORELLI had J> i L
in her possession a copy of the 9/11/01 UA Flight 93 Passenger Personal
List, also known as a Manifest, a copy of which is attached to this Privacy

On September 11, 2001 MARTORELLI assisted FEDERAL BUREAU
OF INVESTIGATION Special Agantt tin reviewing the
9/11/01 UA Flight 93 Passenger Name Record PNR information to
prepare a summary list of passengers and selected information from
that flight.
MARTORELLI explained the two listings for the last name .
"BRITTON" on the UA Flight 93 Passenger List actually reflect only
one passenger by the name of BRITTON traveling. The second listing
indicates passenger BRITTON used the adjacent seat as an "extra
seat". In MARTORELLI's experience, some physically large
passengers occasionally utilize such an extra seat, and some
passengers use an extra seat to transport a large carry-on item. / 9/11 Law

MARTORELLI explained other information on that UA / .

Passenger List as follows: / * iivacy
The "YY" indicates coach seats. The first asterisk
indicates that passenger checked in. The second asterisk (to the
right of the first) indicates that passenger's boarding pass was
collected at the gate by an electronic processing machine. For the/
BRITTON lines, the "12C" and "12B" reflect seat assignments. Trie
letters "ET" indicate an electronic ticket was used. The letter .
"M" indicates that passenger was a Mileage Plus member. The letter
"O" indicates that passenger had a connecting flight beyond the
original destination. The letter "S" indicates a preassigped seat.
The letter "D" indicates the passenger was listed on some special
departure list, possibly waiting for an upgrade or some other
special consideration.

MARTORELLl recalled reviewing the PNR for BRITTON on

9/11/01. She recalled seeing on it that BRITTON had an "extra
sear. A copy of that PNR is attached to this report.

MARTORELLI recalled reviewing the 9/11/01 Flight 93 PNR

for passenger MARK BINGHAM on 9/11/01, a copy of which is attached
to this report. The markings "ZT next to BINGHAM's name on that
PNR indicates he was traveling on an employee pass.

MARTORELLI was sure that Flight 93's Passenger List

reflected a total of 37 passengers were on Flight 93 on September
11, 2001. The double-listing for BINGHAM erroneously made it
appear there were 38 total passengers: 37 paying passengers, plus
MARK BINGHAM. There were actually only 36 paying passengers plus
MARK BINGHAM. indicating a total of 37 passengers were on that
flight that day.
