Defining US Elimination Relevant Master Data Supporting Properties in the ENTITY Dimension The following Entity properties are

used within the US Elimination program to provide customized logic control: ELIM The ELIM property controls where the US Elimination business rule posts the elimination records. If the property has a value of Y, this identifies the Entity is a technical entity (also referred as an elimination type entity). Elimination type entities need to be assigned to a parent in the Entity hierarchy which is used to calculate the elimination postings. INTCO The INTCO property identifies the trading partner id for the specified Entity for intercompany transactions. For example, the entity C1000 will typically have an INTCO property I_C1000 (standard practice uses the I prefix to indicate an intercompany id). Reporting units (entities) submit intercompany account balances identified with any intercompany entities (trading partners). This property is used by the elimination program to determine supplemental breakouts in order to determine how much of each transaction balance needs to be eliminated. Supporting Properties in the DATASCR Dimension The following DATASRC properties are used within the US Elimination program to provide customized logic control: DATASRC_TYPE Only the I (Input) and M (Manual) DATASRC_TYPE property values are accessed by the US Elimination process. By defining business rules based upon multiple data source values, the system allows for the ability to define which data sources are to be eliminated with specific and potentially unique rules. DATASRC_TYPE property A (Automatic) are specifically ignored by US Eliminations since these data source types are used by the Automatic Adjustments process during the execution of the Consolidation program. Supporting Properties in the INTERCO Dimension The following Interco property is used within the US Elimination program to provide customized logic control: ENTITY The ENTITY property identifies which Interco (trading partner) is referenced to which Entity. Entity property values used here must exist as dimension members in the Entity dimension. Supporting Properties in the ACCOUNT Dimension The following ACCOUNT property is used within the US Elimination program to provide customized logic control: ELIMACC

The ELIMACC property identifies the account id that is used to generate the elimination records. By entering a value for this property, the system identifies the associated account as an intercompany account and is therefore subject to elimination. The property value entered in this field is the elimination account against which the associated account ids will be eliminated. If this property is left blank, the system will ignore the account and not perform any elimination calculations on any records associated with that account id.
