Evaluation Question 1. Did teacher training on BYOT increase teacher usage of BYOT in the classroom? 2. Did the teachers see an improvement in student engagement while BYOT was being used in the classroom? 3. How successful/effective are the teachers in implementing the strategies learned in their classrooms?

Collection Procedures 1. Did teacher training on BYOT increase teacher usage of BYOT in the classroom? 2. Did the teachers see an improvement in student engagement while BYOT was being used in the classroom? Survey of teachers who are currently using BYOT Daily checklist of student engagement filled out by teachers while BYOT is being used Teacher Survey Survey pre-training and survey post training Teachers will complete daily checklists on student engagement while BYOT is being used in the classroom Teacher use will be analyzed based on responses to pre/post survey The daily checklists of teachers will be analyzed for use of student engagement

Every progress report and report card will be accompanied by a survey for students and parents to evaluate the teachers BYOT classroom strategies

The surveys will be analyzed for teacher effectiveness in implementing BYOT strategies in the classroom

Reporting Procedures

Interpretation Procedures Are at least three fourths of the teachers using BYOT in their classrooms for one hour a day? For those teachers who are not, what strategies can be used to encourage more usage of BYOT? Were 80% of the students engaged while BYOT was being used? What strategies can be implemented to increase engagement for the remaining students?

Content Help answer question: What changes, if any, need to be made to increase more BYOT usage in the classrooms? Help answer question: Were there specific lessons using BYOT that improved student engagement more than other lessons?

Format Technical report to teachers, administrators, and BYOT trainers. Meeting with the teachers and BYOT trainers to discuss the results.
