Research and Development

A. As part of Kaizen Companys effort to fully develop its product and acquire an even greater market share to boost its sales, the Research and Development Manager has conducted the following for the month of June: 1. Thorough online research for the latest developments and recipes in the beverage industry. 2. Observation and interview to existing shake businesses to know which of the other varieties sells well and to know the market preferences. The researcher was able to know that customers want to exercise their personal preferences and they want their favorite shakes to contain their favorite add ons like pearls, sago, etc. 3. Flavor and other fruit variety experimentation- The researcher is conducting trials as to what other varieties the four season shake can produce.

B. The plan for July to continue the research and make it more in depth. Also, the plan to add other fruit varieties will be presented to the other managers to get their opinion. The company will also discuss about other developments for the product. Furthermore, when the operation starts, we will do actual interview and surveys to our customers to know their insight about the product versus the competitors.

C. The current problem of the company is that there will be possible differences in the taste of the shake because the fruits ripeness varies.
