Mechanism of action of acupuncture

The tradition of acupuncture theory: energy flows within the human body and this energy can be channelized to create balance and health. This energy flow is called qi and pronounced chee.

qi moves throughout the body along the meridians. These meridians represent major organs & functions of the body. These meridians however do not follow the exact pathways of nerves or blood flow. Acupuncture aims to correct imbalances of the qi and restore health through stimulation.

ENERGY THERAPY (REIKI)

What is Reiki????
Means - Universal life force. It is a Japanese word of two parts. - 'Rei' meaning universal and 'Ki' meaning life force or energy. It is gentle, harmless, natural healing energy which helps you balance your energy levels.

History of Reiki
Dr. Mikao Usui discovered Reiki during a mystical experience on Mt. Kurama, Kyoto, Japan in March, 1922. A few months later he started a Reiki organization called the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai which means Usui Reiki Healing Society. He also opened a Reiki clinic in Harajuku, Aoyama, Tokyo. After the Great Kanto earthquake in 1923 the demand for Reiki was great and it was at this time that Usui began training other teachers.

Is Reiki a religion? Although Reiki energy is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a religion. During a treatment:
the practitioner is a channel for the energy energy flows through the practitioner, into you. The practitioner is not the healer. Your body takes as much energy as needed. Once your body takes all the useful and necessary energy it needs, your body will stop accepting the energy.

When the flow of the "Life Force Energy" is disrupted, weakened or blocked, emotional or health problems tend to occur
