This game was designed as a Large Group game to go along with a talk on Nehemiah.

It is a team building game where each team must make a plan for how they want to build and then carefully carry out their plan during a 10 min period of a fast moving market. The Objective: Each team must build the tallest tower that will stand on it's own and is standing at the end of the game. Set Up: *Have a place at the front of the room where all of the supplies are set out. *Have a person (or two) who are in charge of market sales. *Cut the Market Tickers into strips (make sure there is one for each team as well as for the salesperson) *Place the Market Tickers in Labeled sealed envelopes *Find spaces for the teams to build that are an equal distance from the market and have a level building surface. The Market: There are several building supplies available to the teams (you may substitute any of the building supplies if you do not have them) but they must pay for the supplies piece by piece. The cost of the piece is determined by a simulated market price which is set by the 'market tickers'. When the market opens - the first ticker is made available and all the teams have one minute before round 2 begins and all the prices change (at the change of each round - announce the round change and hand the new sealed ticker envelope to the market salesperson - teams must go to them to get the new prices, but they may take a copy of the ticker back to their team). Every minute a new ticker is made available and once the new round begins - supplies may only be purchased at those prices. (teams may however buy and sell supplies among themselves at any time for any price). The simulated market has been set up so that each item has a low point at some time during the game. This is designed so that the team that knows which supplies they want can buy all their supplies very cheaply (there are 10 min after the market close to finish the building). If a team does not plan ahead - they may find that they are paying $20 for a piece of Fettucchini - and the will never be able to afford the tallest tower. Each team receives $100 (you of course can adjust all the numbers depending on how much money you want to give them - maybe it would be more fun if everyone got ONE MILLION DOLLARS!) The Flow: Each team gets: 10 min to PLAN 10 min of the open Market
