The Community Extension Services and Development of the College of Nursing is pleased
to inform your good office that UC Nursing CESDEV (www.cesdev.co.cc) is now an Official
Member of one of the world's largest community-based environmental organizations, Clean
Up The World Organization ( www.cleanuptheworld.org ).

Clean Up the World started in Sydney, Australia in 1993 in partnership with the United
Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). It brings together non-government
organizations, community groups, schools, governments, business, and individuals in
undertaking activities that inspires and empowers individuals and communities from every
corner of the globe to clean up, fix up and conserve the environment.

Through the number of activities and programs implemented by the Community Extension
Services and Development of the College of Nursing related to the thrust of Clean Up The
World Organization such as Solid Waste Management, Tree Planting, Mangrove Planting,
Malunggay Planting, River Clean-up Activities, Can-asujan Dam Clean-up and many more,
UC Nursing CESDEV became an Official Member of Clean Up The World Organization
and joined an estimated 35 million volunteers from 120 countries around the world.

UC Nursing CESDEV would like to extend its heartfelt thanks for the continuous support
extended by your good office. We promise to continue what we have started so that our
efforts will help reduce the impacts of the biggest challenge currently facing the global
community – climate change.
