In order to meet these objectives, the following steps are necessary:

• Define a common QSHE policy.

• Build an integrated QSHE management system which consists of:

• QSHE manual

• QSHE management guidelines

• Define common QSHE performance indicators.

• External verification & certification of results.

• Communication of results to the supply chain.

2. QSHE management system:

• QSHE manual: a document that states how the group's QSHE


principles are implemented locally. It describes the critical processes,
resources and responsibilities.

• QSHE management guidelines: global directions to design safe


processes and installations.

• Safe procedures: hazard analysis, training, waste & energy


management, carrier selection & evaluation,
emergency plans, community outreach, product
stewardship, accident reporting, etc.

• Safe Installations:emergency equipment, personal protection


equipment, storage tanks, spill control, electric
bonding, preventive maintenance, etc.

A group scorecard enables internal comparison of QSHE results, as


well as benchmarking with the world’s best.

• Quality: OTIF/ JOB 7, perfect orders, costs/unit, etc.

milestones (1M MH - 1000 days
w/accidents), etc.
