Mr.

Fulton’s Classroom Procedures

1. Beginning Class: Students will go directly to their desk and look to the front board for their
Focus assignment to begin class. Any student not in his or her desk when class starts will be
counted tardy. Instruction begins with the bell!

2. Student needs teacher’s attention: When a student needs to address the teacher or the class,
he or she will raise his or her hand and be recognized.

3. Pencil Sharpener/Trash: Students will go to the pencil sharpener and/or trash before class or
during work periods. A work period is defined as a time when students are working on their
own and not when Mr. Fulton is addressing the entire class.

4. Water/Bathroom: Students should use the bathroom or get water before school, during 2nd
block, and during 4th block, and during your 5th block class. During class, students may ask for
permission to use the bathroom during work periods if absolutely necessary. The student must
have and fill out the pass in his or her planner in order to go.

5. Make-up Work: Each student is responsible for obtaining his or her own make-up work
after a missed class. Class handouts are available to download on the class website, but students
must take the initiative to get all other information (notes, in-class assignments, etc.) from a
classmate or Mr. Fulton before or after class. Make-up assignments are expected to be turned in
the next day unless specified otherwise.

6. Late Work: If work is turned in after the assignment’s due date, it will automatically be
deducted 20 points on top of the assignment’s grade. Extra credit assignments at the end of the
quarter will not be offered.

7. Classroom Telephone: The classroom telephone is to be used by permission only.

8. Room Supplies/Appearance: All materials used in Mr. Fulton’s class should be returned in the
same manner and condition in which they were received.

9. Classroom Library Books: Students may check books out overnight by signing the book sign-
out form on the materials table. All books in the classroom are property of Mr. Fulton, and must
be returned to his class so that others can enjoy them. Failure to return books will result in loss of
the privilege to sign them out. Students will be charged for missing or damaged books.

10. Personal Class Supplies: Students are expected to arrive at class each day with all the
materials they will need for class that day (notebook, binder, pen/pencil, paper). Book bags
should be left in the students’ lockers

11. Dismissal: Mr. Fulton will dismiss the class-- not a bell, an announcement, or the time on the
clock. Upon leaving the room, students should make certain that assignments are written in their
planners and the area around their desk is clean.
