Subject: Call for Applications: Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts 2014 ----------------------------------------------------------The Loyola Schools, headed by the School of Humanities, is now accepting applications for the 2014 Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts (LSAA). Each year, the LSAA awards senior students of the Loyola Schools who have done outstanding work in the arts. In the past years, it has successfully given recognition to talented and outstanding student-artists who have eventually led successful careers in the fields of film, theatre, creative writing, among many others. This year, the LSAA seeks to give recognition to seniors involved in the following artistic fields: Creative Writing (Poetry, Fiction, the Literary Essay, Playwriting, and Screenplay), the Theatre Arts (Directing, Performance, Production Design, and Technical Theatre), the Screen Arts (Directing, Editing, Cinematography, Performance, Production, and Sound Design), the Visual Arts (Painting, Photography, Graphic Design, and Illustration), Music (Performance, Composition, and Arrangement), Dance (Performance and Choreography), and other forms. To be eligible for the awards, an applicant must be a student of the Loyola Schools on his/her senior or fifth year displaying an active involvement in the arts either inside or outside of the university. Eligible applicants are requested to get an application form from the School of Humanities Deans Office, G/F Horacio de la Costa Hall and to submit the following documents on or before January 11, 2014: 1. A duly accomplished application form, including 2 recommendation letters, and 2. A Creative Portfolio The data sheet and recommendation letter can also be downloaded from the Ateneo de Manila University website at this URL: http://ls.ateneo.edu/global/UserFiles/File/LSAA_2014_APPLICATION_FORM.xls Application period runs from December 5, 2013 to January 11, 2014. All applications must be submitted to the Deans Office, School of Humanities on January 11, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. The complete list of 2014 LSAA Awardees will be announced on March 1, 2014 and awarding ceremonies will be held on March 12, 2014.
