Email: ssarya1@gmail.com, asci.nsfi@gmail.com About ASCI : Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) are apex national partnership establishments that bring together all the stakeholders Government, Industry, Training Institutions and labour, for the common objective of skill development of work force for the respective industry sectors. National Skills Foundation of India (NSFI) as a lead promoter along with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) have been approved to set up the Sector Skills Council for Agriculture by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under Government of India. The proposed Agriculture Skills Council of India (ASCI) is expected to be the largest amongst all the SSCs setup by NSDC. ASCI proposes to train, certify and accredit 56.5million workforce comprising of farmers, wage workers, entrepreneurs and extension workers, over 10 years through its training partners. ASCI would be a separate section-25 company (not-for-profit), which envisages active partnership with industry and meeting the milestones for ASCI. Job Role Role Purpose CEO To lead the ASCI towards achieving customer satisfaction and business goals Key Responsibilities and Activities Financial Create and manage the budget functional & operational Keeping the organization well resourced in terms of finance, knowledge, partnerships and implementation capabilities Take the charge and full control and work according to the objective of Agriculture Skills Council of India (ASCI) Help business improvement by providing the appropriate skill development solution to industry players

Support Governing Council by adhering to term sheet and project milestones Fulfill the objective of ASCI and meet the timeline for the project as set by the funding organization Draw up quarterly plans and targets and ensure their delivery. To align with the business and create a skill development strategy , that would positively impact business metrics To support research on the current requirement of skill development in the industry, review the supply of skilled personnel, identify shortfall in numbers and skill sets, identify trends and future requirements and benchmark international practices To help improve the training delivery system, develop and update training modules and impart training to trainers, institutes, and existing industry employees To assist in conduct of Train the trainer program by getting the competency matrix for the training need validated by the business Oversee creation of the content based on the training need and get sign off from the business To get industry stakeholder engagement through signing of MOUs To keep up with developments in terms of best in class across industries and the business. To educate the team members about the various processes and practices of the business Ensure legal/ statutory compliances, Ensure that the organization delivers In time high quality services and choose lasting Organic growth rather than fast crumbling inorganic growth Keep a close watch on compliance with the norms provided by the funding agency while successfully addressing the requirements laid down by the industry. Plan and ensure availability of recurrent/exceptional reports all departments. Analyze these regularly-for trends and patterns with guidance/ assistance from departmental head to take leads from them to run and grow the business more efficiently. To map the competency of the team members and develop capabilities in terms of business development and training skills Increase the capability of team in research and creation of the right solution by coaching and mentoring. Creating a skill development strategy that is aligned to the business strategy
