Here are the Do's and Donot's of the IIT JEE Aspirant on the Day of the Examination Do's * Read the instructions given for every type of questions. First 5 to 6 minutes go through the complete paper, during this time your brain comes to relaxed state * in the first one and half hour, it is better to allot half an hour for each subject * After paper-1, the only analysis that you should do is to understand the pattern of the Question paper -1. * Give more attention to the subject in the paper - 2 if you have not attempted that subject to your satisfaction in paper 1. * If you think a problem involves multiple steps, try to attempt in the end. Donot's * Donot's Don't discuss any subject matter with your friends or classmates, Be cool and relax. You will feel little tension, it is quite natural. it is like tension in a vibrating spring. It vibrates and gives the beautiful music only when tension exist in limits. If you apply tension beyond the limit it may break. * Don't spend more than one and half hour on any single subject in any paper. That would hamper your chances with respect to the subject wise cut offs.

* Don't discuss the Paper - 1 with your friends / classmates or teachers. * Relax during two hours break. Your mind need to be focused on the Next Paper 2 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Basically the exam is based on concepts and more important is their applications. It is observed from the last few years that instead of asking lengthy questions with tedious calculations, short questions with easier calculations are being asked; which are more conceptual Reality What ever is the level of preparation, doubt will always arise in your preparation strategy You may feel that the time left out is very less Your mind may go blank sometimes You are always in need of support You may tend to think of the past Solution You will find to ample time if you do not lament of the past. According to inverse Parkison law : Time expands according to the need Dont waste your time in worrying Start your preparation with proper planning, strong determination & Self confidence. It can make you through your goal. Remember Your success just not comes with your effort and practice, your mind set on the day makes a big difference The IIT JEE is not only a test of a students preparation but also how well he can handle the pressure Tune up your mind with positive thoughts Avoid friend who have negative mind set Take real JEE experience in practice tests Dont compare yourself with others Dont get carried away by what others say On analyzing last few year results it was proved that chemistry is always the deciding subject for the final rank and one has to put little more efforts in the subject. Here we will look at the best manner in which chemistry can be revised.

Analysis of previous papers of IIT JEE, its quite clear that chemistry is scoring subject in terms of time invested and marks obtained. The entire syllabus of chemistry is divided in to three major units namely physical & general chemistry, Organic chemistry, Inorganic chemistry. All these are equally important. As such there is no fixed weightage maintained by JEE. This can be evidenced by the Analysing the last 4 year papers. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Here are the Tips for Chemistry Preparation for the IIT JEE Aspirants. Tips for solving Question Paper Read the instructions carefully Scan the Problems Immediately Make a rough estimate of easy problems. If easier one is beyond your capacity, dont get nervous, just go ahead. For moderate problems, try to derive relations Dont go for complicated calculations Complicated calculations means wrong solution Keep Attempting the easy / scoring ones first Single choice options are going to be mark fetching ones. Try to attempt as many as possible Dont take an guess work Concentrate on one question at the time. The Day Before IIT JEE Let your intensity of studies come down in the latter half of the day Dont study anything fresh after 2 but dont sleep. If possible go through small summary of the Inorganic. Even if you are not able to recollect, dont discourage yourself. Be bold. You will come out successfully Evening relax may be you can watch TV / Go to Temple Eat healthy food. This is not only for this day, start from the today Eat healthy breakfast supplement with iron rich food Take almonds rich in omega 3 fatty acid. Dont take excessive food Drink lots of water Whenever your are tired, drink energy drinks Avoid oily and spicy food. You can check your center location

On IIT JEE Day Ensure that you had taken the admit card plus the required stationeries You should reach the test centre at least half an hour before the exam Carry water bottle Take it as a normal day as if you are going to write a practice test Give several time mental pep up talk that I can do much better. This day is meant for me. I am born to succeed Enter the Examination hall in the positive mood to crack the test Re check your stationeries and synchronize your wrist watch with the center clock Fill Up all the particulars carefully Read the Instructions carefully Dont be panic when others Start attempting Never make any conclusion by looking at others If there is any mistake in your OMR Sheet , address immediately Dont make any conclusions about the paper in the exam hall Minimize the possibility of using eraser Never submit the paper before the time. If you have some time in your hand, better to revise the solution Use the rough space wisely so that you can cross verify at any time Use the value of the constants given in the paper in solving a numerical. If the value is not mentioned, use the one you remember. Carry out all the rough work only in the space given in the paper Attempting to solve all the questions in haste increases the chance of the error . It is better to solve slightly fewer questions faultlessly While attempting questions, go on segregating them putting some identification marks. These questions are from topics that you have prepared After the first exam, dont discuss the paper with anyone, Try to understand the difference between facts and fiction Whatever you have done is good. Say to yourself before the 2nd paper that you are going to do this much better Dont take too much time on attempting a question. If some concepts are not at all known to you, immediately come out of it. Success is Yours Believe in basics Success is easy, keep it smile, achieve it with a proper plan and execute with a cool pace of mind. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Change of Pattern One more important aspect of Jee is change of pattern of the exam. Change of pattern of the exam is very important to select the scoring subjects. In IIT JEE 2007, there was change on exam pattern. Assertion and reasoning based questions were introduced in place of the subject type questions. There was no change of pattern in 2008 exam but there were introduced again. There were 8 subjective questions in paper II. After a long time more than one choice correct type questions with negative marking were introduced. This will eliminate students who do guess work in the paper. Assertion and reason type of questions were removed from both the papers. Integer type questions were introduced and there were no options to integer type questions. Answers had value from 0 to 9. Students must be ready to face any change in the pattern Unit wise Analysis and Percentage of Marks

Difficulty level The difficulty level of the question paper varies from year to year. IIT JEE 2009 Physics paper was relatively easy when compared to other subjects. In Physics Paper I around 75% of the questions were easy to solve and rest 25% questions were difficult. Paper II required a lot of time and patience to solve questions. Over all the papers were moderately difficult. IIT JEE 2006, 2007, 2008 Chapter wise analysis Number of Questions in Physics

Marking Scheme Marking scheme is also changing from time to time. The integer type questions were introduced for the first time in 2009. There were no options to the integer type questions. The student must read instructions before answering the paper. Electricity and Magnetism topics together constitute almost one third of the total marks and the students must concentration these two topics are relatively easy when compared to Mechanics The next important topics are Mechanics and general Physics. Within Mechanics, the favorite topics seem to be Rigid body rotation and motion on a plane. It is important for the students to realize that Mechanics though important, takes relatively more time for preparation. They should restrict their preparation of Mechanics and concentrate on next important topics Modern Physics and Thermal Physics .These topics can be covered thoroughly in relatively less time. Ray Optics and Physical Optics together contributes approximately 10 to 15 %, with in Optics, it has been observed that the problems on the Youngs double slit

Experiment are frequently asked. Students should concentrate on the different aspects of the Youngs double slit Experiment. The last but not least, Mechanical waves and sound has accounted for approximately 10% of the total Marks, students should also concentrate on the wave motion. Here are the Tips for IIT JEE Mathematics and past statistics IIT JEE Mathematics preparation tips : More emphasis should be given on calculus and algebra. The combinations of Geometry, trigonometry, probability problems may be given go through all the basic formulas in all the topics. Geometrical applications of additions, subtractions, multiplications, division of complex numbers must be known thoroughly. The applications of Geometry and differential equations must be known in all aspects. The results of algebraic calculations of properties of conics must be known All properties of definite integrals and its applications must be known. In last 2,3 days: Students must recognize what concepts and formulas they forgetting. This changes from student to student. Read those concepts and revise Every day solve two are three model examinations for tuning of the calculations Care ful reading of the question gives u a clue Donts: Do not discuss the paper I performance with anybody even through cell phone in break time Calculators, Logarithmic tables or any other calculation tables are not allowed in to the examination hall if such any information is required it will be given directly or indirectly in the question paper itself. Dont spend more than 1 hour 20 minutes on any subject. This data is from the article : http://www.myengg.com/engg/info/1867/ii ... tatistics/
