Assignment Tasks: Scenario You are required to research the history and background to UK operations of TESCO PLC. This is covered in Section 2 to include:

As you will see, Tesco has store portfolio that is divided into six formats differentiated by size and range of products sold. They comprise Tesco; Extra, Superstores, Metro, Express, One stop and Homeplus. From your research you are required to complete the following:

Task 1 (LO1)
1.1 Explain the importance of effective supply chain management in achieving Tescos organisational objectives(1.1) 1.2 Explain the link between supply chain management and business functions in Tesco. (1.2) 1.3 Discuss the key drivers for achieving an integrated Supply chain strategy in Tesco. (1.3)
