Thatsaid,accordingtoregsarmbandsusedattrainingfacilitiesduringandafterWorldWarIIcontinued unchangedthroughthetransitiontotwoinchwidechevronsin1948andtheirreturntonominalthreeinch chevronsin1951.Idonothavephotosshowingwhatwasactuallyusedatmosttrainingfacilitiesduringthistime.Ido

Inbelatedrecognitionoftheeliminationofthethreebarsforasergeantthatoccurredin1949,inApril1952thearmy changedsergeantsarmbandstoincludeandarcandthrees,whichinturn,madethearmbandfiveincheshigh.[see Changes3,SR600601,April1,1952.AlsoseeDA,SR600601,April8,1953,para.33]Withthereturntothreesas thechevronforasergeantresultingfromthe1958graderestructure,thetwoauthorizedarmbandswereforthatrank andforcorporal.Thesearmbands,designedforthegreenuniforms,simplyhadthegoldenliteongreenchevronssewn tothedarkblueclothbackground.[seeDA,AR6705,September28,1959,para.151].TheInstituteofHeraldrymay

haveanofficialdrawingforthesearmbandssincethebrassardsappearedintheregs.Isuggestyouwrite themandaskforcopiesofdrawingsoftheversionsIcite.StartinginApril1957thearmychangedregulationsso
