Description: Date:
10/4/13
I was asked to create a black and white flier to promote a graduation conference using the indesign skills I learned in my communications class.
Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography. Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic flier layout. Retrieve image and logo from links on this page. Create a project folder with image, logo and InDesign document to keep links intact.
Process:
I first created four sketches and then used the skills I learned in indesign to bring my ideas to life! I started out with the boxes on the bottom and the top with a gradient to create repetition in the page. I also had the gradient continue through both boxes so instead of starting over dark to light. I then lined up the logo and and the date time and kept the copy small so that the picture and the copy line up and keep the white space open and keep the look clean. Then i put the white text on the black so i had great contrast and stood out.
