GATE 2014 Exam: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering shortly known as GATE will be commenced under the body

of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). All the operations that happen from accepting applications to declaring GATE Results will be supervised by sole authority from the administering institutes. GATE 2014 is to be held in 8 zones (Bengalore, Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee). In this academic year 2013 14, the organizing institute among the 8 zones is IIT Kharagpur. Accepting of application has made completely online through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). Whats new in Gate 2014? The crucial part in the latest Gate exam is the whole test is an online computer based covering all 21 papers from the Gate syllabus. Numerical answers must be freezed through virtual keyword where as other questions are multiple choices type. Previously Gate examination will be completed on the same day for the few departments. But in GATE 2014, the test will held during forenoon and afternoon sessions on swap weekends i.e., Saturday and Sunday. Major changes in GATE 2014 There are three important modules to consider while taking the process of Gate 2014. They are Application Process: Candidates have to complete their application filling through Online only from the concerned IIT zonal website. The processing of GATE 2014 application becomes complete when the printed copy of the Gate application along with prescribed documents reaches to Gate zonal office before the deadline i.e, October 10, 2013. Note: Applications form will not be sold anywhere. Gate Admit card 2014 download: Applicant admit card will not be sent manually through Post or email. All the candidates who submit their applications

have to download Gate 2014 admit card from the zonal website only. It is mandatory to carry any one of the identity card along with admit card while attending for the test. Candidates have to enter the proof of identity at the time of submitting GATE 2014 Online application. Numerical Questions type: Since the test made online, there are both multiple option questions and numerical type questions. Few numerical questions have to be answered by using virtual keyword. In other words these are just filling the blanks type.
