In anticipation of the British Columbia Securities Commissions (BC Securities Commission or BCSC or the Commission) annual Capital Ideas conference for 2013, KPMG was retained by the BC Securities Commission to conduct a series of interviews with junior mining companies (Juniors) in BC to better understand industry perspectives, challenges and sentiments about the current downtown in the mining sector (the subject of this report). Furthermore, the BCSC was looking to understand the factors that have impacted the availability of financing for Junior) engaged in financing activities in British Columbia (BC).
