The committee have all worked hard to provide for another very successful year, so to the committee and members; Thank You for your loyal and dedicated effort throughout the last year. It is through your joint efforts that the Association remains in an excellent position to continue providing Astrological education to NSW. On behalf of AANSW, thank you Dorothy for an informative and educational presentation. September 12th Guest Speaker will feature Yasmin Boland and her Topic: RECLAIMING ALGOL Arise the Goddess! Yasmin will show us how the Fixed Star Algol appears to be intricately involved with the re-emergence of the Divine Feminine - and incredible Goddess Power! Yasmin charts the fates of this astonishing star. So please come along to our warm and friendly venue and share in an afternoon of astrological interchange with like-minded people. The venue is Drummoyne Community Centre, 10 Cometrowe Street, Drummoyne and doors open at 1:15pm on the 2nd Saturday of the month (except Jan). Gregory Clare AANSW President

September 26 Venue: Gourmet on Globe Address: Globe Lane, Wollongong 1.00pm 4.00pm Time: September 26 When: *** Please note 4th Saturday of the Month *** September Topic:
At our last committee meeting AANSW Committee decided to introduce the inaugural Spring Bazaar for our members at the meeting on 12 September. If you have goods you would like to sell please let me know by Wed 9 September. There will be (1) table available for each vendor so just bring a small selection of your goods. If you have a service to offer or simply wish to have a table to display brochures, business cards, etc then please advise me by the above date. To date we have a few vendors wishing to display their goods/services. The tables are free. As we dont have a lot of space it will be first in. This will hopefully be the first of many annual Spring Bazaars. As you can see from the Calendar this month Yasmin Boland is presenting a talk on one of the fixed stars Algol. Yasmin has been doing quite a bit of research and work on this particular talk and my feeling is it will be a good one. Yasmin has presented part of it at SARS but since then has significantly expanded the talk and Im looking forward to hearing about Algol as this star sits on my ascendant. In the second half Anita will facilitate a discussion of some of the other fixed stars so should be a great day. Dont forget we also have our AGM at this meeting but we will get through that as quickly as possible so Yasmin can begin her talk on time. If you are planning to attend the Horary Workshop on 25 October please let us know at the September meeting. We have had a number of expressions of interest but we need reasonably firm numbers so we know if the chosen venue will be big enough for the numbers. There are still members who said theyd like to come but havent filled out the registration form.

Relationships, Personality Theory and the Astrology of Film
In this workshop we will focus on six major relationship patterns recognised by personality theory and present in every birth chart. Well known films provide an excellent contemporary vehicle for the imaginative and creative exploration of these archetypal themes. Our reaction to films is always intensely personal, and films which attract or repel us, or which we need to watch repeatedly, reveal internal truths literally in projection - which are seeking to be absorbed, processed or worked through. We continue to revisit and repeat the inherent dilemmas contained within these stories until we have consciously recognised, integrated and outgrown them, which is why films can have such powerful cathartic and therapeutic value. Please bring your birth charts and a story from a film or fairy tale which has personal meaning for you, and we will consider how these can illustrate important relationship patterns and other major themes in your birth chart.

Astrology and Dreams
In this workshop you'll experience how astrology and dream work can be combined into a transformative spiritual practice. Dream symbols closely reflect our natal and transiting planets. We'll consider the meaning of dreams occurring during particular transits and progressions, and how planetary and dream archetypes manifest in waking life. Decoding the messages of dreams and transits together generates a potent broth of upsurgent feelings, pressing tasks, and energies rising within us in conscious response to change. Participants in this process-oriented workshop will be encouraged to transform themselves in response to the spiritual lessons and directives revealed through astrology and dreams.
For AANSW Members Only Do you have something to sell or a service you offer?

Synopsis of Horary Astrology Workshop Sunday 25 October 2009 with Christina Thomas
Horary Astrology has been practiced for thousands upon thousands of years. This ancient technique has been used by Astrologers to find answers to lifes questions. Why do we ask questions and more importantly why do the heavens want to help us find our answers? Is there an answer to every question and a solution to every problem? At this workshop Christina will spend half the time working on the theoretical foundations of Horary Astrology and give real examples of these techniques at work. The second half of the day will be spent applying those principals to charts of workshop participants. Christina will also show you Horary Astrology in a way that as far as she is aware has not been looked at before. This workshop will be held on Sunday the 25th of October 2009 at Flemington Markets commencing at 10.30 and concluding at 4.30 pm. The cost of the Workshop will be $60 for Members and $120 for Non Members. Registration form is on page 14 of Orbits. Come along with your burning desire to know and ask yourself this question. How can I not attend?
