Advantages of knowledge management for new product development

1. Introduction
Knowledge management for new product development is very widely researched topic in todays business world it is fast becoming one of the most important departments in todays business world. Key researches includes role of knowledge manager in new product development, new product management and knowledge management, knowledge management and product life cycle management, customer knowledge management for new product development and gathering of knowledge for new product development, knowledge creation in new product development best systems for knowledge management for new product development, knowledge transfer process in knowledge management, gaining tacit knowledge in new product development, knowledge integration in new product development The development of new product emerged as a new lifeline for majority of business and industries. Units of new product development required keeping good balance between order and disorder and delicate attention towards knowledge management. Knowledge has a highly critical strategic value since it organizational actions are based on it. It also helps organization in getting long term competitive advantage. For new product development role of knowledge management is very important. When information is practiced it becomes learning which establishes a kind of knowledge and then benchmarked this structure encompassing learned practices gave birth to the concept of knowledge management. A well leveraged knowledge in action conveys competitiveness. But the key issue is who will leverage such required knowledge in to actions. (Himanshu Dutt- January-June 2006). It will be the knowledge leaders or knowledge managers that will do the job. Customer knowledge is the most important knowledge for the business houses. The base for the most improvements in companys products is the customer knowledge management. Customer relation management and customer knowledge management are closely related to each other. The delivery of continuous enhancement towards customers. Initiatives resulting from customer relation management effort have been labeled customer knowledge management. To be successful knowledge management requires very well thoroughly planned strategies that are compatible with the needs of contact center agents and the customer who are self-survice customers. This is called policies of knowledge management in this paper we will discuss knowledge management

for new product development, role of knowledge managers, role of customer knowledge management and best policies regarding knowledge management. This study is highly significance because in most of research paper only one area is highlighted like just knowledge management in general or one of the aspect of knowledge management but in this paper we will discuss knowledge management for new product development and also few specific practices, like role of knowledge managers in new product development, customer knowledge management and best policies regarding knowledge management. And hope that it will provide readers most of the areas regarding knowledge management for new product development address in this research paper.
