Stern u. S. Warning to the
Imperialists and Their
Schemed Aggression
Lackeys'
Against
Cambodia
O
N 1'oycmber 21, 1967
the Govcrnnllmt of
CamLodia issu!1{l a
statement Ollce again reject-
resolutely U.S. slandernll!;
allegations against Cambodi;J,
The slander campaign has
been intensified over the
past months. The U.S. press,
radio, State i)(lpartment and
\Var Department have bl.'C1l
coordinating their etlurts to
this effect. Of course, the
Saigun administration
and the Thai reactionary
ruling clique, lackeys of the
American imperialists, have
taken an active part in it.
As expected, masters and
valets have been harping on
shopworn themes. Recently,
on November 20, AP and the
Voice oj America spread the
news that some American cor-
respondents had" digcovcred"
a .. Viet Cong base" in Cam-
bodia. That same day, a
spokesman of the U.S. State
Department threateningly ex-
pressed the U.S. Government's
concern about Cambodia being
used as a base for the" Viet
Cong." On November 14.
1')67. on U.S. orders, the
Saigon puppet administration
then circulated a note in the
C.S. rcporting so-called Cam-
bodian forms of support to
the "Viet Congo "
It mtlst be pointed out
that the present slander cam-
paign is a new U.S. manoeuvre
to expand the Rgf,;ressi\'c war
to Cambodia. The November
2 I statement of the C:mlbo-
dian Government has stressed
that this sustained U.S. cam-
paign against Cambodia's
neutrality proves that the
United States still plans to
expnnd its aggression to
Cambodia. The truth is that
the U.S. propaganda machine
has o\'ertly spoken of de-
stroying peaceful and neutral
Cambodia. In its August 29.
J<)67 statement, the Cambo-
dian Government energctical-
h.' denounced the U.S. rulers
for having let the U.S. News
811d World Rep01't carryon
August 28, 1967 an article
revealing their scheme to turn
Cambodia into a " new theatre
of operations" with a map
showing Cambodian territory
left of the Mekong river to
be annexed by the United
States. In its November II,
1967 statcment, the Cambo-
dlall (;o\;,ernmcnt once again
condemncd the braz('n SClllmle
for agf,{ression by the Amcr-
ican imperialists against Cam-
bodia as reveilled in the New
1 'ork Timl's of November 6,
1967. The United States, the
paper wrote, cannot guarant('e
that lJ .5. troops or Saigon
puppet troops do not encroach
on Cambodian borders. (I)
Thcre is not a shred of doubt
that the slander campaign
against Cambodia is part of
the plan to prepare world
opinion for eventual U.S.
armed aggression against this
country and expansion of the
aggressive war in lndo-China.
As a dose neighbour and
comrade-in-arms of Cambodia,
the n.R-V.K Government and
people resolutely condemn the
American imperialists and
their henchmen's repeated
violations of the 1954 Geneva
Agreements on Indo - China,
gross infringement of the
sacred national rights of the
Khmer people. The D.R.V.r.;.
Government and people fully
support the November 21,
1967 statement of the Cam-
bodian government rejecting
the slanderous allegations
against its country and laying
bare the U.S. scheme to ex-
pand its aggressive war from
South Viet 1\am to Cambodia.
United with the Khmer peo-
ple in the Indo-Chinese Peo-
ples' Front, the Vietnamese
people consistently and thor-
oughly support the just
struggle of the Khmer people
against the American impe-
rialists and their stooges in
order to defend Cambodia's
independence, sovereignty,
neutrality and territorial inte-
grity. The people
determinedly side with the
fraternfll Khmer people to
defeat the V.S. imperialist
aggressors, the common enemy
of the Indo-Chinese peoples.
As Samdech Head of State
Norodom Sihanol1k pointed
out in his message of thanks
to President Ho Chi Minh and
Prime 1Jinister Pham Van
Dong on 1'ovember 2. 1967.
.. Victory will certainly be-
long to the nations like ours
which are determined to check
any foreign attempt to en-
slave us once more ...
