Aragon Middle School not only focuses on the academic growth of the students, but also their personal growth to instill positive character traits and promote good decision-making skills. Students have the opportunity to get involved in a variety programs to develop leadership skills, team work, and creativity.

The current student enrollment for the 2013-2014 academic school year is 1,643. The breakdown of the student population is as follows: 207 (12.59%) African American 720 (43.82%) Caucasian 519 (31.58%) Hispanic 159 (9.68%) Asian 37 (2.25%) Multi-National 495 (30.13%) Economically Disadvantaged 146 (8.89%) Gifted and Talented 93 (5.66%) Special Education The attendance rate for the school is 96.9% Aragon middle school is comprised of highly qualified teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure that all students receive a quality education. STUDENT ACHIEVEMNT
The standardized test that students in the state of Texas participate in to measure academic performance is called the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR). Below is the student achievement of the campus from the spring 2013 administration of the STAAR test.

Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) uses proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behavior to create a positive, safe, and effective school environment. Focusing our attention on creating and sustaining this type of system will also help to improve lifestyle results (health, social, family, work) in our youth.
