GROUP DISCUSSION V/S DEBATE Group discussion focus on analysis, discussion, evaluation, to pursue a single goal for the purpose of proper brain storming, proper idea sharing, understanding of different perspectives and preparation for some important goal. Group discussion is not a debate, but it enables you to be more aware, more informed, more articulative and better prepared for coordination. People come to know about your perspective and they are able to share facts, information and ideas with you. The topics of GD and debate are similar (they are debatable), but your approach to GD is different and that towards debate is different. You have to convince others to join you in both the cases, but you are more assertive and one sided in debate.
