real-time computing constraints. The merging of the concept of software and hardware invokes Embedded Systems. Emerging trends and recent developments in
embedded systems had made the area more demanding for researchers, industrialists and the impact has gone even to the common man. These days without embedded system became part and parcel in our livings. The purpose of this three day workshop is to bring awareness on Embedded Systems for Automation and Instrumentation and its usage in different applications for taking up research work among the faculty and research scholars.
About the Department Centre for Automation and Instrumentation (CAI) is in the process of establishment under MHRD Govt. of India. CAI is a centre of excellence for incubation, development and nurturing of advanced technologies in the areas of Automation and Instrumentation, which is being created at par with any global level institutes. The centre aims to nurture the technologies that required for the present and future like Mechotronics, Automation, Modeling & Simulation, Micro Electromechanical Systems (MEMS), Bio-MEMS, Bio-Informatics, Autonomous Robots Bio-Robots, Nano Electromechanical Systems (NEMS) and Bio-NEMS etc. The CAI will provide a platform to all to conduct R&D in the above areas. About the Institute and Warangal National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NITW) formerly known as Regional Engineering College, Warangal (RECW) is the first among 17 RECs set up as joint venture of the Government of India and the state government. Over the years, the college has established itself as a premier Institution imparting technical education of a very high standard, leading to the B.Tech. degrees in various branches of engineering and M.Tech. and Ph.D. Programmes in various specializations. With a view to give further impetus to the technological education, the Central Government upgraded the RECs to NITs, and conferred the Deemed to be University status. Warangal is known for its rich historical and cultural heritage. It is situated at a distance of 140 Km from Hyderabad. Warangal is well connected by rail and road. National Institute of Technology campus is 2 Km. away from Kazipet railway junction and 12 Km. away from Warangal railway station. Participants are advised to alight either at Kazipet or Warangal depending upon the train of travel.
