CARDIAC MONITOR The cardiac monitor continuously displays the cardiac electrocardiogram (EKG) tracing.

Additional monitoring components allow cardiovascular pressures and cardiac output to be monitored and displayed as required for patient diagnosis and treatment.

GLUCOMETER A glucometer is a key element of home blood glucose monitoring (HBGM) by people with diabetes mellitus or hypoglycemia. A glucometer provides results right away.

DEFIBRILLATOR This depolarizes a critical mass of the heart muscle, terminates the arrhythmia, and allows normal sinus rhythm to be reestablished by the body's natural pacemaker, in the sinoatrial node of the heart

INFUSION PUMP External infusion pumps are medical devices that deliver fluids, including nutrients and medications such as antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, and pain relievers, into a patients body in controlled amounts.

ECG MACHINE An electrocardiogram (ECG) records the electrical activity of the heart. The heart produces tiny electrical impulses which spread through the heart muscle to make the heart contract. These impulses can be detected by the ECG machine.

LARYNGOCSOPE A laryngoscope is an illuminating medical instrument used by healthcare providers to allow visualization of the pharynx and larynx of a patient. A laryngoscope is specially designed to fit into a patient's airway to allow for a procedure known as orotracheal intubation.

MECHANICAL VENTILATOR A mechanical ventilator is a machine that generates a controlled flow of gas into a patients airways. Oxygen and air are received from cylinders or wall outlets, the gas is pressure reduced and blended according to the prescribed inspired oxygen tension (FiO2).

PULSE OXIMETER Pulse oximeters are medical devices that monitor the level of oxygen in a patient's blood and alert the healthcare worker if oxygen levels drop below safe levels, allowing rapid intervention.

NEBULIZER A nebulizer changes medication from a liquid to a mist so that it can be more easily inhaled into the lungs. Nebulizers are particularly effective in delivering asthma medications to infants and small children and to anyone who has difficulty using an asthma inhaler.

SUCTION MACHINE This usually refers to a portable suction apparatus used in wards and theatres for aspirating fluids and vomit from the mouth and airways, and from operation sites by sucking the material through a catheter into a bottle

PENLIGHT For many of the same reasons as doctors, nurses also use penlights. As they spend a lot of their time monitoring patients they tend to use penlights to assess the patient's progress rather than as an examining tool used to help diagnosis.

SYRINGE PUMP are used to deliver precise amounts of fluid at specific time intervals. There are two main types of products: infusion pumps and withdrawal pumps. Infusion pumps are used to administer relatively small amounts of fluids at high, but controlled pressures. Withdrawal pumps are used to remove fluid samples automatically, typically in medical or pharmaceutical applications.

THERMOMETER Digital thermometers are gadgets that are used for measuring temperature. They are generally easier to read than the traditional type of thermometer, and they are more accurate too. Instead of mercury, digital thermometers have built in sensors and probes.

EMERGENCY CART A crash cart is the trolley for storing lifesaving equipment and drugs in a hospital emergency room, intensive care unit, clinics and other areas. To enhance the Code Blue teams response to patients with emergency medical situations by providing immediate access to supplies and medications.

BAG VALVE MASK Bag-valve-mask (BVM) ventilation is an essential emergency skill (see the video below). This basic airway management technique allows for oxygenation and ventilation of patients until a more definitive airway can be established and in cases where endotracheal intubation or other definitive control of the airway is not possible.

GRAMMER A weight scale is any device used to determine the weight of an object; it normally includes a scale that indicates the weight or compares the object to calibrated known weights.

A CPR Board is among other safety equipment that may be found on crash carts, in ambulances, private homes, nursing facilities, gyms. A CPR board it is a flat rigid plastic board that aids in the administration of CPR by helping to create a flat rigid surface on which CPR can be performed. Used in emergency response situations, person must be on a firm flat surface.

GUIDE WIRE a device used to position an IV catheter, endotracheal tube, central venous line, or gastric feeding tube or to localize a tumor during open breast biopsy.

HOT WATER BAG A hot water bottle (or hottie) is a container filled with hot water and sealed with a stopper, used to provide warmth, typically whilst in bed, but also for the application of heat to a specific part of the body.

KELLY FORCEPS (CURVE AND STRAIGHT) are a handheld, hinged instrument used for grasping and holding objects. Forceps are used when fingers are too large to grasp small objects or when many objects need to be held at one time while the hands are used to perform a task.

ICE BAG An ice pack or gel pack is a plastic sac of ice, refrigerant gel or liquid, or, in an emergency. It is commonly used as a cold compress to alleviate the pain of minor injuries.

KIDNEY BASIN a shallow kidney-shaped basin used especially for the collection of bodily discharges

IV STAND Holds the IV Fluids and other medication.

MAYO SCISSORS (CURVED AND STRAIGHT) are designed for cutting body tissues near the surface of the wound. As the straight Mayo scissor is also used for cutting sutures, or stitches, its also sold as suture scissors. Many surgeons use separate pairs of straightbladed Mayo scissors for tissue and suture cutting since using the scissor on sutures tends to dull its blades.

METZENBAUM SCISSORS (CURVED AND STRAIGHT) Metzenbaum scissors are a type of surgical tool typically used to cut delicate soft tissues. Not only are they the most commonly used scissors for cutting tissue, but they are designed only to be used for that purpose. Because of their specific function, they sometimes are called Metzenbaum dissecting scissors.

OXYGEN GUARD Use to protect the oxygen tank and to let it stand still.

MOSQUITO FORCEPS (CURVED AND STRAIGHT) Mosquito forceps are one of many types of hemostatic forceps. They also are commonly known as mosquito clamps. The name of this category of forceps is a reference to their size; though not quite as small as a mosquito, these clamps are among the smallest types of surgical forceps in macroscopic medicine

NEUROLOGIC HAMMER The reflex hammer is a common medical instrument used for eliciting the response of deep tendon reflexes. This well-known piece of equipment helps physicians test neurological function and judge abnormalities in the central and peripheral nervous system.

OXYGEN TANK WITH REGULATOR Oxygen regulators will allow you to adjust your liter flow from 1-25 liters per minute depending on the liter flow you are prescribed the model regulator you are using. There is pediatric oxygen regulators for those that need 1/32 liter flow and smaller increments. Most people on home oxygen use a oxygen regulator with 0-8 or 015LPM capabilities.

SOAKING AND RINSING TRAY Soaking tray is where to soak sharps like scissors, forceps, needle holders, etc. in a chemical/solution to disinfect. Rinsing tray- is where to rinse the soaked materials from the soaking tray such as scissors, forceps, needle holders, etc.

STETHOSCOPE is an acoustic medical device for auscultation, or listening to the internal sounds of an animal or human body. It is often used to listen to lung and heart sounds. It is also used to listen to intestines and blood flow in arteries and veins. In combination with a sphygmomanometer, it is commonly used for measurements of blood pressure.

SPHYGMOMANOMETER is a device used to measure blood pressure, composed of an inflatable cuff to restrict blood flow, and a mercury or mechanical manometer to measure the pressure. It is always used in conjunction with a means to determine at what pressure blood flow is just starting, and at what pressure it is unimpeded. Manual sphygmomanometers are used in conjunction with a stethoscope.

a curved forceps with serrated edges, used for grasping tissues.

ADSON WITH TEETH BLADE HOLDERS This is to hold scalpel blades during surgical operations

ADSON WITHOUT TEETH Adson forceps are stainless steel tweezers used to move and hold tissue in place during delicate surgical procedures. These surgical tools, also called thumb forceps, are used by manually holding them between the thumb, index finger and middle finger of the dominant hand and squeezing down to grasp, hold and move tissue into place. Adson tissue forceps are used for medical, dental and veterinarian surgeries to maintain sterile technique and to minimize tissue damage. After an operation, Adson dressing forceps can be used to remove sutures, dressings and ancillary surgical tubing. Both types of Adson forceps can be sterilized in an autoclave so that they can be reused.

NEEDLE HOLDER This is to hold needle during surgical operations.
