A. All portions of duct designated to receive duct liner shall be co"pletely covered with duct liner. All #oints shall be neatly butted and there shall be no interruptions or gaps. Duct liner shall be installed with the 3rinted air strea" surface treat"ent e%posed to the air strea". 4. Duct liner shall be adhered to the sheet "etal with 0(I *"ini"u"- coverage of adhesive co"plying with the re!uire"ents of ASTM , 0+1. ,. All transverse edges that are not to receive sheet "etal nosing shall be coated. Longitudinal #oints shall occur at the corners of ducts. If duct siFe and standard duct liner product di"ensions "ake e%posed longitudinal #oints necessary such #oints shall be coated with adhesive designated for duct liner application and which "eets the re!uire"ents of ASTM , 0+1. Such #oints shall be additionally secured with "echanical fasteners in accordance with 2AIMA )5DLS or SMA,2A 69A, D,S as if they were transverse #oints. D. Duct liner shall be additionally secured with "echanical fasteners co"plying with the re!uire"ents 2AIMA )5DLS or SMA,2A 69A, D,S and of the correct type for the duct liner being installed. )asteners "ay be either weld-secured or i"pact-driven and shall be installed perpendicular to the duct surface..
