Will be held on January 12, 2013 after 10:00 Mass at St. Marys Church.
Can you not spend one hour with me? (Mt 26:40)
Year End Giving: and Tax Receipting Reminders: By the way, if someone gives a gift of property or a tangible item to your church, such as a portable heater or a coffee pot, do not state a monetary value for the item in a thank you letter/receipt. Refer to this type of gift as a gift-in-kind and receipt it at $0.00, with language in the receipt that the gift may be taxdeductible and that the donor should check with his/ her tax preparer as to the deductibility. Be sure to give the donor a reasonably-detailed description of the item donated in the receipt, including whether or not the item is new or used (I use the term "previously-owned") and the date the contribution was received by your parish. Additional rules apply for a contribution of $250 or more (see above). If someone gives your parish an item (such as a car) which is valued at more than $500, special rules apply and additional paperwork must be prepared and attached to the donor's tax return. Contact me for assistance in this situation. . Just contact me. Judy Held - Diocese GFB- (800)

Love Your Neighbor As Yourself
Presented by Mike Reynolds, St. Michael Parish, Absarokee Tuesday, January 14, 2014 @ 12:00 Noon
"Over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection. And let the peace of Christ control your hearts." Colossians 3:14-15 Jesus is God's ultimate gift of love to us. The countless other blessings that God showers upon us are nothing compared to the gift of His only Son. And the only appropriate way for us to respond to such generous love is with our own generous love. When we dedicate our lives to sharing all the many gifts that God has placed within our hands, the peace of Christ truly will control our hearts. We will know Christmas joy every day. Parish Development Thought: The Office of Stewardship and Development is open December 30 and 31 for last-minute assistance with year-end giving to benefit our parish or our diocese. For assistance, contact Judy Held, Director, at 800-332-9998, ext. 120 or stewardship@diocesegfb.org. Thank you!
Pro - Life Messages "Prospective abortion patients usually want greater confidentiality for this procedure than for most other medical services. Thus the woman is in a peculiarly vulnerable position because she may be reluctant to complain to any authority concerning the quality of service received." Mass Intentions
As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses celebrated for those we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form of prayer, and each Mass is celebrated for an intention. Please consider having Masses celebrated for family and friends on special occasions and anniversaries, as well as those who are in need of prayers. Masses are also encouraged in memory of those loved ones who have died, especially on the anniversaries of their deaths. Contact Fr. Cory for more information!
To reserve the Parish Basement or other St. Marys facility, please contact Fr. Cory or Lana at the Parish Office (email office@SaintMarysMalta.org).
Any announcements for next Sundays bulletin need to be in by 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday
Care Cups:
For the past eight years the PCCW has put Care Cups in every room at the hospital. If you have cleaned your cupboards and found some cups that you would like to donate, they can be left in the basement of the church, and they will be picked up; or if you would rather drop them off at Madaline's home. It is at 801 S. 4th St. E. Thank You.
Any young man who has an inclination toward a religious vocation and is searching for an opportunity to help discern the call of God in their lives is invited. Parishioners are asked to submit the names and contact information of young men who possess the qualities for a religious vocation to their pastor, parish administrator or parish life coordinator. Once received names and contact information is received and forwarded to Bishop Warfel, the bishop will provide a personal invitation to join him and several priests and seminarians from the Diocese at St. Mary Parish for the overnight retreat. (A Religious Vocations Discernment Retreat is planned for young women in the springtime)
Albertsons Stamps
Thank you to everyone who collected the dinnerware stamps from Albertsons and donated them to the parish! The response was outstanding, and the rectory now has 12 place settings of the dinner plates, salad plates, bowls and mugs. This dinnerware is a very colorful addition to the rectory, and I hope it will serve for years to come! Thank you all again! - Fr. Cory
