Experience
KOMU 8 News, Columbia, Missouri August 2011 to the present

I have worked a variety of jobs at KOMU 8 News, the NBC affiliate for Mid-Missouri. I have worked nearly every position out at the station, including working as a general assignment/live/enterprise reporter, fill-in anchor, producer, social media attendant, and production assistant. In addition, I am experienced in setting up my own liveshots with the use of a Live U backpack. Reuters, Brussels, Belgium May 2013 to July 2013

I spent a summer in Belgium for a study abroad program and was an intern with the television department of Thomson Reuters during my stay. As an intern, I helped film, edit, and set up interviews for numerous events, including a World Cup qualifying match, the coronation of the new Belgian King, a NATO summit, and multiple ECOFIN summits. I worked out at MDN for nearly a full year. While working at MDN, I utilized my journalistic skills to produce both print and radio stories which have been broadcast by KMOX, and published by CBS, the Missourian, and other print organizations. I also worked as the Promotions Director for MDN. As part of this job I designed business cards for the team, I worked on a Wiki page for MDN and worked to get more print journalists on our team. Newsy, Columbia, Missouri May 2012 to June 2012

I worked as an intern at Newsy, a multimedia news outlet. As an intern I wrote scripts for a variety of news stories, which were then published on the Newsy website and anchored by the staff. MUTV Prowl, Columbia, Missouri August 2010 to May 2011

I worked first as a reporter, and then the Executive Producer of MUTV Prowl, the University of Missouris arts and entertainment weekly TV show. As the Executive Producer, I managed the direction and production of our weekly entertainment segment, and also anchored the segments. As a reporter, I covered multiple arts and entertainment events on and off campus, including concerts from Sister Hazel and Joshua Radin, and a presentation by Joseph Gordon-Levitt for HitRECord.

Education

I am a December 2013 graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism Anchoring/Reporting with a minor in French, all through the Honors College.

Skills
I am well trained with both Mac and PC, having utilized programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop, Avid, Edius, Final Cut/Final Cut Pro, iNews, Audacity, and Soundslides.
