Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter December 31, 2013

Pastors Notes: Well.where has the time gone? Every year we all say the same thing. My, how time flies! It seems that we were just beginning the year and now here it is the last day of the year (at least as I am writing this). We all have things to be grateful for and things that we are sadden by. Its pretty much true of every year. Some years have more things that sadden us than others, but the Lord has given us a new day, a new month, a new year. Lets all make the best of the time that the Lord has given us. The New Year also brings about a time where people make New Years Resolutions. Im not a huge fan of resolutions, but I am a believer in new beginnings! We all can make some new beginnings in areas of our spiritual lives. I want to give God my best in attendance to THIS local assembly. I want to be a faithful and consistent tither & giver. I want to be found faithful in working in the harvest field of the Lord. I want to do my part in seeing the Kingdom of God experience increase through this local assembly. It is my prayer that the Lord will move on us as members and friends of the Woodruff Church of God to give God our absolute best in 2014.

If you agreed to be part of the new benevolence committee, there will be an introductory meeting on Tuesday, January 7th at 10:00 AM in the CLC. Thank you in advance for being part of this new committee and for being willing to serve in helping our fellow man! I love forward to see you all then!

Tithe envelopes are still available in the lobby for you to pick up if you have not already done so. If you would like a giving report at the end of the 2014 year, please make sure your name is on the envelope each time you give. This is the only way we will be able to track your giving. Thank you!

If you were part of our corporate FAST in 2013 and the Lord answered your prayer.maybe He answered a prayer in 2013 from a previous FAST.. and you would not mind doing a video interview and share what you were fasting for and how God met that need, please see PASTOR TERRY ASAP. We want to put together some videos to play during our teaching on FASTING as well as during our FASTING TIME. Some things only come about by prayer and fasting!. Two years ago, we did a weekend (Friday night & Saturday) we called REKINDLE. It was a prayer retreat where we focused on several different things, both personal, corporate and revival. If you would be interested in being part of this prayer retreat in the year 2014, please call the church office and give your name. It will be held during the month of February (date TBA). There will be a cost attached. All that information will be available in the next couple of weeks. Just a word about our Live Streaming..we are so blessed and honored to be able to put our church services (Sunday AM & PM) online LIVE. Technology is a wonderful gift and it is enabling us to allow people who might not otherwise be able to view our services. We have had people in the hospital watch us. Weve had people sick at home watch us. Weve even had people on vacation watch us. BUT.it was never meant to be a substitute for being in church. There is nothing better than being in Gods House, with Gods people, worshipping the King of Kings!!! Use the livestreaming if you have to, but never allow it to be a substitute for doing what the Word says..I was glad when they said unto me. Let us GO to the House of the Lord. If you would like to turn in one last offering for 2013, you still can. Make sure the check is dated December 2013 and turn it in by THIS SUNDAY MORNING. Your 2013 giving report will go out in the next couple of weeks. Prayer List
