20 September 2013 See Distribution JOINING INSTRUCTIONS SYSTEMATIC SEARCH PROCEDURES COURSE 05/2013 23 SEPTEMBER 2013 04 OCTOBER 2013 GENERAL 1. The Caribbean Search Centre will be conducting a Systematic Search Procedures Course at the Caribbean Search Centre, Twickenham Park, Spanish Town, St Catherine over the period 23 September 2013 04 October 2013. 2. This course is designed to train law enforcement personnel from Jamaica and the Caribbean region on the concept of systematic non-disruptive searches. At the end of the course students will acquire the necessary training required for planning, organizing and executing successful searches. AIM 3. The aim of the course is to establish professionally trained law enforcement personnel from the Caribbean region in the art of systematic search techniques and procedures. NOMINEES FOR THE COURSE 4. REPORTING 5. Students selected for the course are to report to the Caribbean Search Centre on 23 September 2013 at 0730 hrs, where they will be met by the Caribbean Search Centre Staff.

TRANSPORTATION 6. Sp and Svcs Bn (Tpt Coy) is to make the necessary arrangements for the students to travel to and from the Caribbean Search Centre, Twickenham Park daily. The students are to report at the Sp and Svcs Bn Square at 0630 hrs on 23 September 2013 to be transported to the centre. STATIONERY 7. Students are to be in possession of the following items: a. b. c. Notebook Pen and Pencil Eraser

COURSE BLOCK SYLLABUS 8. The Course Block Syllabus is attached.

DRESS 9. The dress for the course is DPM, Combat Boots and Beret, unless otherwise instructed.

MEALS 10. Meals will be served at the following times. a. b. DISCIPLINE 11. During the period of the course, students are to comply with all orders and instructions issued to them by the Appropriate Superior Authority at the centre. They are also to acquaint themselves with all the Local Standing Orders and comply with same. 12. The highest standard of discipline is to be maintained at all times.
