Pointer Excel II Hand Held T.E.N.S.

and Point Detector with Digital Display

Pointer Excel II The Pointer Excel II is a new user-friendly hand-held device with digital display for location of acupuncture or trigger points. It incorporates an effective push utton sti!ulation feature for i!!ediate electroacupuncture treat!ent of the point or area i!!ediately following its detection. The digital display helps the user to locate the !ost accurate acupuncture or trigger point easily" as the nu! er increases with the lowering of the electric resistance of the s#in $when a !axi!u! nu! er is reached" an acupuncture point is detected and electroacupuressure !ay egin%. Self-treat!ent for electroacupuncture has never een so easy&This new !odel has additional features" such as ad'usta le fre(uency fro! ) - )* H+" and polarity reversal switch $for tonification or sedation%. It is one of the !ost innovative hand-held sti!ulators availa le in the !ar#et. ,aintenanceSti!ulator.Detector is li!ited to cleaning the sti!ulator attery contacts and !etal electrodes. It can e readily located y !eans of an instru!ent which

is sensitive to resistance changes. 1hen the !etal pro e touches a low resistance point the loudspea#er gives a sound signal. Its pitch rises with the lowering of the electric resistance of the s#in. 1ith this device and !ethod of detection" trigger points thus located usually produce a strong sensation and reaction to electric sti!ulation" and will achieve the est therapeutic results.4ni(ue :eatures) The Digital Display cha! er is located on the rear to side of the . unit. The device features a digital display to show the wor#ing fre(uency $fro! ) to )* H+% of sti!ulation during acupuncture treat!ent when pushing down the sti!ulation utton" and a nu!erical display $!axi!u! around ;<< when sensitivity is ad'ust to the highest range% to show the sensitivity of detection during the location of acupuncture points. 1hen used in 0cupuncture or trigger point detection" the digital display will show the location of the acupuncture point in nu!erical for!. During acupuncture location" the highest nu!erical value refers to the nearest site of acupuncture point. The green indication =ED will re!ain lit when the acupuncture point is located. 6 The Polarity switch easily allows the output sti!ulation>s polarity . to e reversed fro! ? $for tonification% to @ $sedation% or viceversa during acupuncture treat!ent. In doing this" the output intensity should e turned down first in order to avoid a sudden increase in intensity. This new i!proved interchangea le spring type pro e provides a !ore constant and co!forta le acupressure to the area or points" thus providing etter accuracy during point location searching. It is i!portant to note that any part of the ody !ay e induced to produce a point location signal depending on the a!ount of pressure used during location. Thus" it is i!portant when locating the trigger points to use the least a!ount of pressure possi le on the surface of the s#in. 0lso" the !ove!ent of the pro e when searching for the point should e s!ooth and graceful" always !aintaining the sa!e light unifor! constant pressure until the
