ACADEMIC PROJECT

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF SOLAR DISTILLATOR

Solar distillatory is used to convert the seawater into pure water. The simple
evaporation and condensation techniques are used in our project. The magnifier is used for
evaporation. This is the special thing of our project. The seawater is evaporated in a
evaporation tank by focusing the solar radiation on the water through the magnifier. Then
the cooled water is used to convert the vapour (from the evaporator) to pure water.
