Nifty was closed red down 1.63% Sensex was closed red down 1.61% Last week. Last week US Unemployment Claims 339K & ISM Manufacturing PMI 57.0. Euro & U.S markets were Red; while Asian markets were red last week.

was in consolidate trend. Major sector which were down like Oil & Gas Index, Power Index & Cement Index and Top loosers are Bharar Petroleum (down 7.10%), Tata Power co. (down 6.51%), Mahindra & Mahindra (down 6.31%), Larsen & Turbo (down 5.65%), ONGC (down 5.64%), BHEL (down 5.35%) & JP Associates (down 4.12%). Technically Nifty may expected to down from this point or a short term range bound this week; Nifty this week may range 6100-6300.

On the economic front, The Government will continue its endeavour for liberalizing the
FDI Policy further in the coming weeks to ensure that India retains its leadership position for attracting foreign investments and Public Investment in the farm sector has gone up and States are constantly being incentivized to come up with new schemes.

On the Global front, The U.S. Federal Reserve may speed up or slow down the pace at
which it winds down its massive bond-buying program, a top Fed official said on Friday, but only a sharp downturn in the data would justify putting the tapering process on hold. U.S. factory activity held near a 2-1/2-year high in December and the number of Americans filing new claims for jobless benefits fell again last week, suggesting the economy was poised for stronger growth in 2014.
