The year 2014 begins a season of great exploits for the body of Christ, but this will require from us great faith. So I encourage the body of Christ to become more bold than we have ever been before, more focused than we have ever been before, and more daring than we have ever been before. We have to literally take God at His word and step out in great faith to accomplish in the world, all that God has predestined for the church in this season. It is my prayer, that we that know the Lord shall be strong, and do exploits in Jesus name. Amen. SO GO FORTH AND DO EXPLOITS FOR GOD!!!

t is raining on the just and the unjust I am the Lord that maketh it to rain on all saith the Lord.

My wind is blowing saith the Lord, to blow My power My might on them that are Mine. The people will see you and say these are they that are blessed of the Lord. It is a new and fresh season for My people saith the Lord I take them into plenty for My purpose and might to demonstrate My power in them. It is a time of glory and plenty for them that are Mine saith the Lord I change many things in the lives of people. I put structures and purpose in place saith the Lord I come in My might and power to destroy the power of the enemy against My people. I block many things the devil has planned I remove distractions from your midst saith the Lord I bring you to a place of glory and might for My name sake It is well with those who seek Me and are mine Again, I say, it is a time of plenty and increase. Come into My fold, into My presence and enjoy the Lord your Father saith the Lord. Given in December 2013

re you prepared to see Him? Are you prepared for the 2nd coming?

Yeah saith the Lord, they are many who think that they are ready, and they are prepared but they are not, because they have played with their salvation, and they have played with what I have done on the cross of Calvary. Nay saith the Spirit of the Lord, examine your heart and see ye whether ye still be in the faith. Examine the heart and see if you be in faith. For many people have departed from the faith saith the Lord, and yet they think that they still are. For they have gone forth to do what they want, not what my Word says. What makes one mine? It is that, that stays in my Word, it is that that has made Me the Lord of their lives, it is that that says, it is not my will but Your will be done God, it is that has removed their agenda and has made it Mine. It is that one says the Spirit of God that says, What is it Father that You want me to do? That is the

the Spirit of God that says, What is it Father that You want me to do? That is the one that has taken My Word and has truly become My own. For many, many are called I say, and few are chosen. Many are called, but yes few are chosen. Why is that? saith God Is it because I discriminate? Is it because I dont love all? Nay saith the Spirit of God. It is not because I discriminate, because I am not a respecter of persons, because I love all the same. But because the peoples minds have turned away from Me saith God. And so many have dressed themselves in My Word as it were and they deceive the people to say, I am of the Lord, I belong to Him. Nay says God, they are not. They are not Mine, neither do they belong to Me, neither do I know them. And so I summon again a warning unto My people, the body and I say, examine yourself, examine yourself, examine yourself, whether you be in the faith according to My Word. Examine! And they ask, How do I examine myself? Yea saith the Spirit of the Lord, for my Word is a mirror that you look at saith God, to examine yourself, whether you be in the faith. For when you take My Word, and you look at it, and you look at yourself in it, and if there is a place says the Spirit of God- and there is a place that does not line up with what you see in My Word- in Me, for I Am my Word, then you know that there is an adjustment that needs to be made. And yea saith God, for I am here by my Spirit to help in the adjustment that is to be made. For as many that will come to Me and as many as will say, Father, I need You here, I need You in this thing, I need You in this place, I will work with. But I do not force My will on anyone. For I have given you a choice saith the Lord. I speak to My people, the Church, I have given you a choice, the way you come to Me you will remain in Me. That you may remain in Me, for you have all that it takes to remain in Me. For I have empowered you. In you is My Spirit! The Spirit

of Grace that is able even to bring to pass anything that My will is. But many do not ask My will and many do not seek My face, but they assume and they go forth, and they do that which they think they know. Yea saith the Spirit of the Lord, if I am your Lord you God, submit to My will. If I am the Lord your God, ask what My will is. If I am the Lord your God, do it my way. If I am the Lord your God, then bow to Me in everything saith the Spirit of the Lord. For yea, you have given Me one side and yet there are many other sections that they have said, Dont touch this, dont touch this, dont touch this. Nay saith the Spirit of Grace, nay saith the Spirit of Grace, nay saith the Spirit of Grace, turn it all over to Me, for I am the Lord your God and I want it all. I want it all! I want it all! I want you ALL! All of you I demand saith the Spirit of the Lord. For when you give yourself totally to Me in all that you do saith the Lord God, then, you see, you see My grace and My favor, and even when things delay, look hard, you know that I am in it with you. And it is easy, and it is easy to take saith the Lord. I sound a warning again for I return, and I return soon and I ask the body, My people, Are you ready to receive me? saith the Lord. Are you ready to receive Me? Are you ready to receive Me? Are you ready to receive Me? Saith the Spirit of the Lord.

As the year 2013 slips away and we celebrate the year 2014, I believe we should spend some time reflecting on the relationship we had with God in the year 2013. What was the status of our relationship with Him? If Christ returns or calls us home today, are we prepared to meet him? This is a rhetorical question of course as only you can answer this honestly. The book of Psalm 15 asks who can stay in the presence of our God. And the answer says He who has truth in his heart. This psalm helps us with our self-evaluation of our relationship with Him. Do we really have truth (God) in our hearts? The year 2013 no doubt was an interesting year for some and difficult for others. However we must give thanks to God for all he did in 2013. Some of us might ask why should I give thanks, after all I did not achieve anything. But you must give thanks because you have life and hope. The bible tells us to give thanks in everything, and not to be anxious about anything. It tells us even how to handle situations that may not have happened as we wanted. It says to pray with thanksgiving in making a request to God (Philippians 4:6). So whatever it is that you thought ought to have manifested in 2013 that did not, is not a loss. You still have many years ahead of you. But take that matter to God in the proper way (prayer and

thanksgiving) and believe that it is done. God will handle it for you. In this year 2014, my prayer is that it will be a better year for us and God will show Himself strong to us in Jesus name Amen. However we must learn to trust God with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. In all our ways we must acknowledge Him and He will direct our path (Proverbs 3:5). God will keep us safe from all storms of life. He will be your shelter in the year 2014 from the storm. It is important to make God our refuge and hiding place. When the storm strikes, we will not be moved because we are an everlasting foundation when the wind blows (Proverbs 10:25). In other words, we cannot be destroyed. God will take charge. You may not be able to predict lifes storm or prevent them but sometimes you can prepare for them. The name of the Lord is a strong tower and when the righteous run in they are safe (Proverbs 18:10). We have to know in whom our protection is founded. If you do not have God, you become your own God (and cannot protect yourself) but if you have God you can say my God is a safe place to hide. He is ready to help when we need him. You have to read the word daily so that you can have a rich deposit of scriptures within you. Colossian 3:16 says to let the word of God dwell in us richly. If the word dwells in you, you can make a withdrawal when you need it. God is an ever present help Psalm 46:1. He is al-

ways there and not only in trouble, but in good and at all times. In this year 2014, it behooves us to take our relationship with Him to another level, to another dimension. Allow your hearts to be filled with truth. The truth of who He is. I guarantee you based on Gods word that if you allow Christ to richly dwell in you, you will have a deeper revelation of God and success will always be yours in Jesus name. Let this be your goal, starting this year 2014; allow God to own you completely and leave no room for the enemy in Jesus name, amen. Blessings

Proposition 8 did not affect those rights except for the designation of the term marriage, reserved for only oppositesex couples. The court opinion is taken from the Syllabus, prepared by the Reporter of Decisions, United States Supreme Court. Chief Justice Roberts, in regards to standing, says that its essence is to prevent the judicial process from being used to usurp the powers of the political branches. He continued that when the District court decided Proposition 8 to be unconstitutional and barred the named defendants from enforcement, the respondents ceased to have injury, so no further redress was necessary. The Petitioners no longer have a personal stake in seeing Proposition 8 enforced, and has no reasonable interest to invoke the states interest. He added: All a

In view of these reasons Chief justice Roberts leading the majority in a 5-4 decision ruled that the Petitioners have no standing, vacating the decisions of the lower court that entertained the case, thus clearing the way for same-sex marriage to continue in the state of California. It is important to note that counter-arguments have been presented by the Supreme Court dissenting minority in this case where Justice Kennedy led the minority arguing that the California Supreme Court certifying the Petitioners to represent state interest is sufficient standing and that the aim of the initiative process was to bypass the

ficers reject. He insists that its Supreme Court precedents do not require a formal agency relationship. To that end, the Petitions have standing, for hit is not contingent on office holding. The majority opinion stated that the Petitioners lacked standing, while the dissenting justices found standing. The issue here is what now happens to the majority of Californians who have chosen to live according to that doctrine (Truth) that it only takes a male to mate with a female, for so has been biblical principles from the beginning, which invariably prescribes that marriage must be between man and wife in holy matrimony. This is not about religion; this is about the principle derived from an ordered universe that informs man how to live an ordered life. The ordered Universe is entrenched in truth to be perfectly functional, otherwise will lack existence. Then a perfectly functional Universe entrenched in Truth informs us that only one who is perfect, and the ultimate Truth, can generate it. Such argument has its own implication. It suggests that if one chooses to live with-

out this doctrine (Truth), the person will also be free to mate as he pleases, which allows him to marry whomever or whatever he chooses, not in accordance to Truth or Universal laws, neither in accordance to how man should live nor in accordance with the dictates of the one who is perfect or the Ultimate Truth. The consequence of going against the knowledge of the Good which is self-evidential Truth, and which is demonstrated physically, as well as naturally in the Universe, is tremendous. It is self-

evident that man is created different from a woman, and that which is seen tells of that which is unseen. For the invisible things of Him from creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they, are without excuse (Romans 1:20). It is obvious that the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold truth in unrighteousness (v. 18). The opinion handed down by the Supreme Court and the dissenting opinions are all intellectually sound arguments. The Court tries its best to interpret the law in the books,

and truly does not want to legislate or usurp the powers of other arms of government, though it had before made decisions that paved the way for the other arms of government, such as Brown v. Board of Education, which stopped separate schools for blacks and whites to mention but a few. The issue here is what constitutes a good law? For we see in Brown v. Board of Education, the opinion of the court, was of truth, and it changed America, for blacks and whites are one people of God, of one human race though of differentiated colors from their maker, God, who loves variety. The court rejected the popular opinion of men, customs, and restrictions of regulations of state, to find that higher Truth, that all men, created equal, need to be schooled together. For there to be one people of the United States, they must learn to be one, both in learning and in socializing together. In

direction of the laws of the universe, and must be in accordance with Ultimate Truth, the one who created all things and set His laws in place. For the law made by man must reflect the Law God put in place which reflects who He is, Good. Because God is

good, everything that He sets in place from creation is good. God created man and woman and with that creation set them apart to be different in many ways but yet same in some aspects. It is no brainer that one aspect in which they are physiologically and biologically different was done by our marker in other to serve a very specific purpose. To turn away from such purposeful creation at any point will not be wise; and I pray that in all we get, we will have wisdom. TO BE CONTINUED. God Bless!

view of Brown v. Board of Education, one may ask whether the decision of the Supreme Court to strike down DOMA as well as California law that defines marriage to be between man and wife, while reinstating same-sex marriage a good law? For we know a good law must be reasonable, in accordance with the

for both Christian and secular leadership. Political, social, economic and religious happenings have constituted to weaken the vision and faith of many. Christian leaders continue to contend for their faith and for the work of Jesus Christ. This is so because of the effect ofHabel in our world. Habel is the Hebrew word for sin caused by the fall of man. What do we say to these things: The promise of Gods love and abundant grace, and yet the experience of Habel? I believe that God is calling His people back to the power of the

We are in a time in the body of Christ where faith is required in order to realize the call of God, unto great exploits for the kingdom of God. By great exploits, I mean outstanding works that cannot be done by human efforts or might, but by Gods exceeding grace alone. God has declared prophetically that the year 2014 holds double enrichment and supernatural increase for the body of Christ. However, He sounds a caution of warning that in order to take over territories and to build, we need Faith to Arise! If you have observed, there has been an attack on leadership like no other time in the history of our world. This holds true

hear God trumpeting to Christian leaders all over the world with a Message of empowering the saints to live life in its full orbed dimension.

cross; to live and lead by it. It is my belief that the cross brought to man a three-fold restoration of nature, purpose and promise. Restoration of our nature as new creatures in Christ; Restoration of our purpose as people called to execute Gods dominion mandate on the earth (Genesis 1:26 and 28); Restoration of Gods promise to the redeemed man; as one called to live in peace, righteousness and joy in the Holy Ghost, both now and in the world to come. In all of these, I hear God trumpeting to Christian leaders all over the world with a Message of empowering the saints to live life in its full orbed dimension. This He is calling Christian leaders to do, by rising up courageously to first conquer their world, and teach others to do so. R. Paul Stevens in his book, Doing Gods Business: Meaning and Motivation for the Marketplace defines missions in its full orbed dimension as human vocation/calling. This includes: communion, community-building, developing the potential of creation, improving and embellishing human life, mission and global evangelism, the alleviation of poverty and investing in and enriching heaven. But how do we do this in the face of Habel? I agree with R Stevens in his proposition that for

the church to fulfill its mission, Christian leaders must rise to the urgent need to provide purposeful leadership in the church and in the world; teaching the full counsel of God, engaging in intercessory prayer and equipping the saints with a wide range of working theology. One vital disposition that I believe is a must have for Christian leaders in this dispensation, is the concept popularly referred to by theologians as the mixed life. This is so because the concept of the mixed life grossly affects our faith, which is a key ingredient in engaging in great works. The mixed life consists of two kinds of life dispositions; the contemplative life of Mary and the active life of Martha. The concept of the mixed life stems from the account of Jesus visit to Mary and Martha in Luke chapter 10 38:42. The relative disposition of Mary and Martha to Jesus visit, and Jesus response to Marthas complaint about Marys insensitivity to her need for help in the kitchen, which was: Mary has chosen the better part, has led many to erroneously conclude that like Mary, sitting at Jesus feet all day is the acceptable and only required action needed for a Christian to succeed in life. On the other hand Marthas disposition, which theologians call the active or life, is carnal, not acceptable to God and irrelevant for success.

As a result of this thinking, many Christians

...seating at Jesus feet and being committed to what the master has to say, is an attitude for life that every believer must have.

would pray and study their bible all day, but would not take action or exercise their faith otherwise. Needless to say therefore, that many Christians are unskilled in the application of knowledge in many things.
As I reflect on the contemplative life of Mary and the active life of Martha, I ponder over a few questions. When Jesus said Mary has chosen the better part, did that imply that Marthas part was not useful? I do not think so. Did Jesus enjoy a good meal prepared by Matter after such a long session of teaching and conversation

with Mary? I am inclined to think so. I am led to believe that the contemplative lifestyle seating at Jesus feet and being committed to what the master has to say, is an attitude for life that every believer must have. On the other hand, the active life (i.e. our activities, plans and pursuits) must flow out of the conversation, wisdom and direction that we receive while at Jesus feet. So if I may say, the contemplative life is really a posture of total surrender, dependence on God and a Spirit led life. Our activities become born out of Marys attitude; (that one thing that is needed) the contemplative life. In my opinion, it is not one or the other; it is one then the other. A leader therefore should endeavor to cultivate the attitude of the mixed life in order to have a Holy Spirit led and active life of faith.

leader therefore should endeavor to cultivate the attitude of the mixed life in order to have a Holy Spirit led and active life of faith.

Against this background of a proper application of faith in God, lets consider the following points: We must teach the full counsel of God in its full orbed dimension: As Christian leaders, there is an urgent need for us to give attention to teaching the full counsel of Gods word and prayer; equipping the saints for life and ministry in its full orbed dimension. This means providing knowledge that is not lacking in anything, but relevant for instruction, reproof and correction in all areas of life and ministry. We must seek to teach people a gospel of Christ that is well rounded and sufficient for prosperity in the dimensions of our spirit, soul and body. By so doing, our deliverance can be fully realized in the blessings of SOZO; a Greek word for salvation in the New Testament that means to save, deliver or protect (literally or figura-

tively); heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be made or to make whole for the attainment of shalom, a Hebrew word that means wholeness, well being and harmony-nothing missing and nothing broken. We must build a deeper, personal relationship with God through His word: Shalom cannot be realized except we fellowship intimately and daily with God through his well rounded word as described above. We must embrace this word, in order to build the type of relationship that gives us power with God. This is Gods counsel. In all the prophetic revelations of Gods supernatural increase and great manifestations in this season, the Holy Spirit charges His children to separate ourselves and seek a deeper, personal relationship with God through His word. This is a key that enables us to enjoy Gods promise of abundant grace, even in the midst of a fallen world. Victory is guaranteed because Gods word builds faith that causes us to overcome (John 16:33). There are many things that we rarely see and experience today, because many Christians are afraid to take risks in obedience to Gods instructions. It is amazing that we seem to have more saints of old manifest such greatness, than we see in the present day church. A leader must add to their faith knowledge: As we see in Isaiah 30:15 and Romans 8:14, God has a prescribed pattern, whereby His people must seek Him in all things; on what we must do, and how we must do it, at every given time. The undoing of many Christian leaders has been their failing to study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth,

ictory is guaranteed because Gods word builds faith that causes us to overcome (John 16:33).

2 Timothy 2:15. Richard Higginson in his book, Questions of Business Life: Exploring Workplace Issues from a Christian Perspective believes that Christian leaders need to equip

hilst we must not rely on our planning and skills solely, the importance of continuous learning for a believer cannot be over emphasized.

their members with a wide range of working theology. The predominance of mediocrity in Christian businesses, churches and Christian ministries is traceable to a misapplication of the principle of faith; the philosophy that holds faith in an unseen heavenly realm, without focus on contemporary life application, completely but erroneously relying on supernatural interventions, and thoroughly lacking in personal responsibility and the commitment needed to achieve desired results. Whilst we must not rely on our planning and skills solely, the importance of continuous learning for a believer cannot be over emphasized. 2 Peter 1:5 exhorts every believer to add to their faith knowledge, with the responsibility of leadership to create an environment for growth to flourish. For a leader to successfully apply God given strategies, he or she requires knowledge; and the employment of both spiritual and natural disciplines such as, clear vision, articulate goals, proper management of time, diligence in obedience, faith, love, humility, integrity and discernment to make full proof of the grace imputed to us by faith through Jesus Christ for victorious living. A Christian must build faith in God alone: In Galatians 3:11, the bible says: the just shall live by faith . Hebrews 10:38 does not only emphasize that the just shall live by faith, but goes on to say that God will have

no pleasure in anyone who draws back from faith. It is that serious! In Romans 1:16-17 the bible explains to us that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation, and in it, is righteousness revealed from faith to faith. We cannot increasingly express victorious faith and do exploits outside a sound, intimate and ever increasing revelation of Gods word. In one of the earlier articles, we mentioned the fact that a leader must develop skills as is required for his/her assignment so that he/she can lead effectively. As important and true as this may be, there is another layer of truth. It is of equal or even greater importance, that a leader must not shift confidence from God to people, places or strategies. But in all, a leader must maintain confidence in the God of the people, the God of the places and the God of the strategies! As we commit to faith in God through a personal intimate relationship with God by His word, I believe that we will experience Christs victory in its full orbed dimension in all aspects of life and Christian ministry, for such a time as this. First of all, let me start by declaring each of every one of you lovely readers a blessed and purposed-filled new year!

I would like to start my write up with this article I found on the internet entitled My Busy Daddy A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door. SON: Daddy, May I ask you a question? DAD: Yeah sure, what it is? replied the man. SON: Daddy, how much do you make an hour? DAD: Thats none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing? the man said angrily. SON: I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour? DAD: If you must know, I make $50 an hour.

SON: Oh, the little boy replied

SON: Daddy, may I please borr The father was furious,

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boys questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didnt ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boys room and opened the door. DAD: Are you asleep, son? He asked. SON: No daddy, Im awake, replied the boy. DAD: Ive been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier said the man. Its been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Heres the $25 you asked for. The little boy sat straight up, smiling. SON: Oh, thank you daddy! he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father. I would like to have dinner with you. The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness. Its just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. I hope this reminds us all of how precious our time is and that each moment is a blessing from God, lets use it wisely. Author: Unknown This says it all really doesnt it? I know todays society is not what it used to be some generations ago where parents especially women did not work long hours or work at all. (and before you start getting offended; I am not suggesting that women stay at home). When I was growing up, things were so different! Parents had the time to invest in their children. In todays society, one would have to make time to invest in their children. Some parents are so overwhelmed that they cannot even spend time with their children when it comes to help-

ing them with their homework etc. The truth of the matter is we have to make time for these precious ones. In some homes, where the parents are working so hard to have the American dream and (I know that some have to really work to make ends meet), what is happening with their children in the meantime. Some parents buy their children all kinds of toys and nice stuff, thinking that will be enough for the child.

Rememb TIME spe and not nec good toys e t

Yes, parents, they like the gifts (for a few months or even days) but the truth of the matter is, they would rather have you. Children need both their parents to be in their lives! Spend time with them, teach them, show them the way that they should go. One must really know God and ask for His help in this day and age to be able to balance their lives. Who would have thought children as little as 6 weeks are sometimes in a day care for the whole day? Again, I am not pointing fingers at anyone. I am just saying to observe how things have changed over the years. And like I said in the last edi-

tion; who is looking after your child/ children? I once heard of a story and this is a true story of a guy who used to be a truck driver. He would be on the road for a long time before coming home. One day, his child asked the mum, Mum, who is this man who comes here sometimes? Needless to say, the man quit his job. Again, I am not pointing fingers at anyone. All I am saying is do what you need to do to

time to invest in them too. For when all is said and done, the quality time that we spend with them goes a long way to make up for who they grow up to be in life. There is an adage that says charity begins at home and that is just the truth! Parents, someone is always spending time with your child, question is who? I cannot emphasize that enough please bear with me if I am repetitive of this fact. Paul said in the book of Philippians, to write the same things to you, to me is not grievous, but for you it is safe (Philippians 3:1) Remember, to a child, TIME spells out LOVE and not necessarily all the good toys etc. that you get them. So enjoy the gift/s God has given you. Spend as much time with them as you possibly can. Ask the Lord to help you find creative ways to spend more ample time with your children and remember that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you in Jesus name.

ber, to a child, ells out LOVE cessarily all the etc. that you get them.
make sure your are spending ample time with your children. Some will go to school the whole day, get home, settle down and watch TV for the rest of the evening then off to bed they go. And the cycle begins all over the next day and the next and the next. You may argue the point that you have to work to keep a roof over your heads, feed these same children and clothe them. Trust me, I understand that. I really do, but on the other hand, we cannot let others train our children for us. Am I saying do not work, of course not by all means work but like we make time for everything else, let us take the

Hi everyone, Welcome to Prayer Corner. For this edition we have a beautiful piece contributed by Prophetess Esther Olunleye. Blessings as you read. Dr. Oluchi Nwanojuobi

A Man After Gods Own Heart

What does it mean to be a man after Gods heart? It certainly does not mean perfection because David was not always perfect. It is not based on education, because David was a simple shepherd at the time of his anointing as king. It was not because David came from the ideal family because he did not. To be a person after Gods own heart means to be of Gods kindred spirit, someone whom God can use and one in whom God finds a special affinity and delight. It is someone who has the heart of a worshipper. It is a person that when confronted with sin, quickly confesses and humbles himself before God. It is a heart that forgives others with the same forgiveness received from God. It is a heart that is grieved by the same things that grieves the heart of God. To be a man after Gods heart is to become one who accomplishes the purposes of God in his/her generation; a person who understands that they are called for a task. They know that it is all about God and not about them. It is to this kind of life that God has called His people and is calling His intercessors today. God is looking for more people to come to a place of total commitment in prayer and intercession. God is looking for you, YES YOU. And do not say I am not anointed to intercede or I am yet to feel the anointing for intercession. Remember that David was anointed king while just a young man but, a long time elapsed between Davids anointing and his actually becoming king. So if you are a born again Christian, you are already anointed to pray. Begin to be obedient to that anointing and you will find out that you can pray not just for yourself but for others as well (which is intercession). It is important to note that it does not matter the amount of time that has elapsed from when you became born again to now and you have not been praying as you ought. The anointing is there in you. As long as you a person after Gods heart (as identified earlier) you can always rekindle the fire in you. There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven (Ecclesiastics 3:1). This is your season to become and remain an intercessor if you have not been one before. It is important to note that David though a man after Gods heart, had to deal with many issues in his life which I have categorized here into the following seasons. The Season of Disclosure (Spring) During this period of time, the confrontation between David and Goliath occurred as found in I Samuel 17. Davids defeat of Goliath and the Philistines resulted in great victory for Israel. This heroic act made

David a favorite of the people much to Sauls dismay. David did not trust in his own ability or strength to confront Goliath, but confronted and defeated Goliath by his trust and confidence in Jehovah (God) not judging Gods abilities to perform by what he saw (Goliaths intimidating presence) but by his knowledge of The Lord God of Host God of Israel. This season was that of disclosure because David had to know which power he trusted in; God or man. It was also a season of spring because this knowledge made all things new to the Israelites (they saw David, and God in him like they never had before). This increased their trust in God. The Season of Passion (Summer) David found himself from being a shepherd boy to someone in the service of a king in the palace (I Samuel 18). This season for David was of influence, affluence and favor (I Samuel 18:5). This season is likened to that of summer because it is a season of fruitfulness. David as it were, came into a season of recognition. His passion for the things of God could not be mistaken. The greatest asset to have in this season is to be humble and diligent, which David had, but yet the season bread an enemy in Saul. The Season of Cave Dwelling (Winter) David experienced this season in his life when eventually King Saul wanted David killed and made a number of attempts. David was a fugitive for many years (I Samuel 19; 24 and 26) and many of his beautiful prayers and songs of worship were written during this period. This season is likened to that of winter because David was in hibernation (hiding). The winter seasons are usually a period of no green vegetation, and that of hiding for many animals. In one word, the winter season is usually a difficult season almost for all living things. Do you identify with this season? Your situation may not be like that of David, but you wonder and feel like why am I here? Be still, trust in the Lord, stand firm and know t hat God is able to deliver you. He can take you from obscurity to prominence (2 Samuel 2-5). The Season of Stripping (Fall) David went through this season in his life time when Absalom his son rebelled against him and he had to leave his palace. He was also humiliated by Shemei (a member of Sauls family) who cursed at him and threw stones at him and his servants (2 Samuel 16:5-13). And again, do you identify with this season though your situation is not like that of David? Do you feel humiliated, deserted, betrayed, and your faith questioned because you dared to believe God and take a right stand with Him even in the face of adversity or temptation? Be of good courage for you are never alone,
Dr. Oluchi Nwanajuobi

stand firm and know that this shall pass. So what has all of these: Davids life and the different seasons got to do with you being after Gods heart and intersession? A lot. It is my belief that David was able to be called a man after Gods heart because he did not waiver on his belief and love for God despite the different seasons he found himself in. He was anointed king way before he actually became king, but he did not forget the anointing that was impacted unto him. He did not allow the hatred of Saul to change who he was, and become hateful like Saul. David respected and feared God no matter what, even when he sinned, he was quick to repent. That was why God could perform all that He did in Davids life. He took him from been a shepherd boy to been a great King. So if you want to be a great anything for God, like David no matter what season you find yourself in, you must be prayerful, faithful, be driven by your love and reverential fear of God and know fully well that the seasons of your life are not determined by man-made calendar but by Gods decisions. And even if you made a mistake at some turn in life, God will turn it around for your good, and the anointing which is resident within you will come out to enable you accomplish your Gods given purpose, especially in prayer and intercession as long as you a are person after Gods heart. The Test of a Worshipper (Part 2)

In the last edition of our publication, we began to examine the life of Abraham as a wor-

shipper. You would remember from the previous edition that the heart of a true worshipper will always be tested against the heart of God. What this means is that in your daily life of worship, there are often going to be times when situations and circumstances around you demand of you an unconventional response. Those moments when you would need to trade in the desires of your flesh for a smile on the face of your Father. They are the moments which call for complete denial of your own self for the presence of the His majesty. And by the way, you will notice that those Kevin Emah times are when you are least prepared to handle such situations. But it has to be those periods when your strength is at the lowest that your chances of depending completely on Gods ability in you are at the highest. Let's take a look at a key point in the life of Abraham as he underwent his "test of a worshipper."

When Terah, Abraham's father died, God immediately initiated his covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3). That covenant included bringing Abraham to a land of promise. Many years had gone by, and Abraham was yet to come into the land God promised him. In fact, things got a bit interesting when Abraham got into an argument with Abimelech's servants who "violently" took away Abraham's well at Beersheba (Genesis 21:25). You may find it ironic that Abraham at the time had the covenant of a "land where God would show him" (Genesis 12:1), but he found himself in a situation where he wasn't even securing a piece of land somewhere, but a well he had dug probably to serve as a source of water for his family and flocks. One of the tests of a true worshipper is the consistency in his/her worship when all you have is a word of promise and everything else around appears just to speak the opposite of the word you have. You would remember that even at the time God called him "the father of nations", Abraham had no children to reference the promise, and both he and his wife, Sarah, were in no shape (biologically speaking) to produce one. All they had was a promise. One of the tests of a true worshipper is the consistency in his/her worship when all you have is a word of promise and everything else around appears just to speak the opposite of the word you have. The truth is that the manifestation of God's promise to you has little to nothing to do with where you are currently - geographically, financially, emotionally, etc.), but everything to do with the word of the promise and your ability to believe it. The The test of a true worshipper will demand of him/her a high level of consistency. question is can you still worship when you have a million dollar dream but struggling to pay a cell phone bill today? Can you still worship even though 30 years has gone by and what you know God told you is yet to manifest? Can you still worship Him? Note with me that as soon as Abraham was able to arrive at a settlement with Abimelech regarding the well, (Genesis 21:22-33), he went right into worship: "And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God (Genesis 21:33). The test of a true worshipper will demand of him/her a high level of consistency. One of the most difficult things to do is fall on your knees, raise your hands and sing unto the Lord a song declaring His sovereignty while you are having an unwanted reality of life starring at you in the face. But you should remember that this is exactly what God expects and wants us to do. God is very attracted to the heart of worship. And when He shows up in your worship, for He always does in true worship. His presence becomes the only reality that matters.

What Are You Waiting For???

The beautiful thing about being involved in ministry is that you learn something new every day. Sometimes you learn something new about our loving and powerful God, and sometimes, you learn about others and the world around you. Most times, however, you learn new things about yourself. Recently, it seems like every Sunday, the sermon is a personal mirror for me, bringing my weaknesses and flaws to light. Although some people dwell in their shortcomings, I choose to use what I learn and make changes in my lifeand Ive done so for the better! After all, what is the point of looking in the mirror, seeing a flaw and not doing anything about it? Honestly, even within the short time Ive made these changes, I am starting to see significant differences in my life and those who know me well are seeing it too! Since it has been working for me (and Ive held you in suspense long enough) I thought I would share, just in case someone out there may need it too! For as long as I can remember, I have struggled with procrastination. No matter how much time I had to prepare for something, for some reason I would always put it off until the last possible nanosecond. I assumed that I would eventually grow out of it, but in actuality, as Ive gotten older, my procrastination has gotten worse! Although some people may not see it as a big deal, it really is! If you procrastinate a lot, you can attest to what Im saying. It is so much of a big deal that even procrastination is in the Bible! Dont believe me? Check out Proverbs 6:4 which states, Dont put it off; do it now! Dont rest until you do! (NLT) You see, procrastination is like stepping in mud. If not cleaned up and taken care of right away, it is possible to create a big mess, tracking mud into EVERY aspect of your life. It affects people of all ages and can come with a big price tag...literally. For example, have you ever borrowed a book

from a library? It is free to borrow as long as you bring the book back to the library by the due date. However, once you bring it back late, even if it is late by one day, there is a fine. In this scenario, a procrastinator would say to themselves, Oh, Ill return it tomorrow. Tomorrow turns into two days, two days turns into a week. A week turns into months and before you know it you have heaped enough fines to actually buy the book itself! Does this sound like you? Lets take it up a notch for those of you who are in college. Your professor gives Kathleen Ibeh

Youth Corner
you a syllabus at the beginning of the semester so that you know when your exams are and when assignments/projects are due. Assuming you have an upcoming exam at the end of the week, it would be smart to study a little bit each day leading up to the exam. However, procrastinators wait until the night before the exam to pull an all-nighter to cram. Chances are higher that the person who studied earlier would have a better result than the person who waited until the last possible moment to study. Why? The procrastinator did not use his time wisely to review properly and ask questions on any concept that was unclear. Or even in the case of submitting an assignment; when turned in late, you may lose points for every day it is lateprecious points that could be used as a cushion for your grade in case you may have made errors. There are so many examples I can give you on the dangers of procrastination, but the reality of it is that its is a killer of dreams and opportunities, a waste of precious time and money and it is a sin. James 4:17 states that it is a sin to know

what you ought to do and then do not do it. Personally and honestly, procrastination has caused me a lot of stress, missed opportunities, and has robbed me of peace and my finances. However, Im so thankful for the Word of God. It has opened my eyes and now I have seen where I have erred and have made steps towards being a better person. Nonetheless, as I stated earlier, its one thing to HEAR the Word but its another thing to DO something about it (another procrastination theme!) Start making those changes NOW!!! As a former procrastinator (in Jesus name I am not anymore), I know that it may be difficult not putting things off as you may be used to, but it is not impossible! You can do it! Ask God for His help whenever you feel laziness and procrastination creeping in, and He is able to see you through. There! So now that Ive shared what Ive learnedwhat are you waiting for?

e s tt e Od ner r o C

We see the principle of the authority of the spoken word begin to unfold in the very first chapter of Genesis. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light (Genesis 1:3). The phrase, "and God said", God literally spoke the world into existence. We know that Abraham understood that God could speak things into existence. In Romans 4:17 Paul writes that Abraham was commended for his faith in that he believed in God. (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations) in the presence of Him whom he believedGod, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. God has continued to exercise His authority over this world. Two thousand years ago, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, part of the triune Godhead, to redeem the world from the curse of Adam's sin. And who is Jesus? Jesus is the embodiment of the Word of God. John described Jesus this way: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning . . . The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came

from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1-2&14 God Has Delegated This Authority We also see in Genesis, chapter one, that after God, by the authority of His word, spoke the world into being, He then delegated that authority to Adam. In Genesis 1:26 God said, ". . . let them rule . . . over all the earth ...." By this transference of power, God gave Adam the right to literally rule over all the earth. When God formed the beasts of the field and birds of the air, He brought them to Adam to see what he (Adam) would name them. When Adam named one of the four-legged creatures with a long tail "monkey, lion etc.," God let the name stand. Why? Because He had relinquished authority over the earth to man. (Genesis 2:1920). Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But Adam lost that authority to Satan

through sin. Satan was able to hold on to that authority because of man's sinful state. He had full power over earth until Jesus came and took it back. Paul gives us a glimpse of the "redemption ceremony" (it was a ceremony just think about) Colossians 2: 13-15. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. He (God) forgave us all our sins . . . He took it away, nailing it to the cross. And (Jesus) having disarmed the powers and authorities (satanic kingdom) he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. So Jesus has regained that authority for those of us who are born-again. Thus, God, through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, has restored that line of authority between Adam and every believer. Authority to do what? To use the spoken word to rule over the world just as Adam did before his fall. But what is the purpose of that authority? Is it to rule over all the earth just for our selfish and personal benefit? No, not at all. God delegated His authority on earth to us so that we can use that authority to spread the Gospel and to accomplish His purposes in every generation. And this is one of our most powerful tools in that realm of authority? It is the same tool God used to create the world, the spoken word! We are to rule by our (Gods) words spoken about us.

Look at Jesus' words to His disciples: "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him." Mark 11:23 "If you believe you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:22 "Ask and it will be given to you . . ." Matthew 7:7 We need to recognize our authority in the spirit realm! Which is the same authority to live by in this world. We need to meditate on it. Then we need to act on it. Scripture is full of statements that tell us of the power of our words. Solomon, the wisest of all men in his time, tells us, "Where the word of a king is, there is power . . ." Ecclesiastics 8:4 (I love this one). Also remember, that Proverbs 18:21 says: "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. The bible says with great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all (Acts 4:33). The power of their words brought forth many miracles, sings healings, deliverance and many were lead to the Lord. Yes, words do indeed have great power. Know and use your authority.

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good like medicine (NKJV)

couple had two little mischievous boys, ages 8 and 10. They were always getting into trouble, and their parents knew that if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons would get the blame. The boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed and asked to see them individually. So, the mother sent her 8-year-old first in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon. The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?" The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open. The clergyman repeated the question. "Where is God?" Again, the boy made no attempt to answer. So, the clergyman raised his voice some more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "Where is God!?" The boy screamed and bolted from the room. He ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?" The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied: "We are in real BIG trouble this time! God is missing, and they think we did it!" Author Unknown

If you are not yet born again, this is your day to be born again, which simply means that you want the Lord Jesus to come into your heart and save you from your sins. This is done by you believing that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died and rose again for your sins (John 3:16, Romans 10: 9-10). If you believe this, then say these confessions: LORD JESUS, I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD AND THAT YOU DIED FOR MY SINS AND ROSE AGAIN. LORD JESUS, I INVITE YOU INTO MY HEART TO BE LORD OF MY LIFE FROM TODAY AND FOREVER, AMEN. CONGRATULATIONS! You are born again, we welcome you into the family of God. Please find a bible believing and teaching church if you are not in one already and become planted in the house of God.
