Alvarez Announces Endorsements from Key State, Local Leaders

SAN DIEGO, January 6, 2014 Today, Councilmember and Mayoral Candidate David Alvarez announced endorsements from key state and local leaders supporting his campaign.

Alvarez said these endorsements are a testament to his ability to develop relationships and connections across California that will help San Diego step into a leadership role in the state, as well as bring more attention to the city when competing for funding neighborhood investments and other important programs.

Im extremely proud to have the support of local and state leaders from the U.S.-Mexico Border to northern California, said Alvarez. These individuals share my vision for a San Diego for all of us and understand that leadership not only has to reach across the city, it has to reach up and down the state to create jobs, restore confidence in government and improve our neighborhoods.

Alvarez finalized by saying he expects additional leaders, community members and organizations to get behind him in the coming weeks ahead of the February 11 election.
