interest in formal schooling and boredom. He did show an ability for
mathematical concepts and taught himself Euclidean geometry at the age of
twelve, so the Reka Yoga did not make him incapable of learning, but he
received no respect from his professors, his family suffered financial
setbacks, and he was separated from his family for some time.
