The ideal candidate will be able to handle the following responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to: Participation in the design, programming, testing and start up of PLC-based computer automation for both new and legacy technology. Design and implementation of both process control software and HMI interfaces. Requires understanding of PLC process control systems (electrical, control and instrumentation) and HMI hardware/ software. Ability to perform PLC software program development based on Functional Design Specifications. Design and implementation of control systems while staying within budget and exceeding customers expectations. Providing drawings (AutoCAD + Visio), literature, training, and technical support to the plant staff upon completion of projects. Development of test plans and acceptance test procedures for process controls systems. Ability to coordinate HMI implementation with customer and implement HMI into the design and development of their products. Preparation of instrumentation and control equipment procurement specifications. Installation of application software on-site. Providing remote and on-site in-process and final testing of software applications. Troubleshooting of problems and field issues. Communication with senior staff and customer to meet customers design/ implementation of systems and software needs.

Able to offer support and training to junior employees. Requirements: Applicants must have one of the following; B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering Equivalent experience. MINIMUM 4 years experience with PLC programming. Experience with industrial system design, and or industrial electrical automation and control system design. Candidate must possess Control System knowledge. Candidate must be able to apply that knowledge to advanced design applications. HMI PLC Programming; Electrical Engineering and design. Must be able to design/develop: HMI Software; Manufacturing Controls; PLCs. Must possess strong trouble-shooting skills required.
